I have been trying to have some items…

I have been trying to have some items collected for approaching 6 months. They have agreed to collect them but the process of arranging that is painful. they so rarely respond to emails or calls and the one time, a pick up was agreed, they didn’t show up.

Such a waste of time

I would not use this company again

I would not use this company again. Took them a long time to collect item with no reply from emails for weeks at a time and when they finally collected item early Jan I am still waiting for payment 6th March despite being told multiple occasions in the last few weeks that I will receive it and I am still waiting 8 weeks after item was collected.

Avoid Pearlly at all costs

I strongly advise against using Pearlly. They collected my Peloton bike in mid-January with a written promise of payment by the end of that week. It is now March 3rd, and I have yet to receive a single penny.

Despite numerous emails and phone calls, they have consistently ignored my outreach. They even broke a secondary promise of payment made two weeks ago. This complete lack of transparency and professional integrity suggests significant internal or financial issues.

If you value your equipment and your time, look elsewhere. I will not stop until this is resolved.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.
Agreed a value for several high end items being bought outright, they collected the items, paid the deposit, and the remaining amount to be paid two months later, sixty days later and two days before the final amount was due, they said two items are not as described and want a deduction. One of the items I checked photos and you can't see the marks they are claiming. Secondly I believe some damage happened in their possession and trying to say I mirepresented them and they are entitled to a reduction. But I am not entitled to decline this, return the initial deposit and have my items returned, as they have probably sold some already, Small claims is being being made, as they say they don't check any item they buy, they rely on the sellers guide only, which is a joke in itself, who would collect furniture, not check it and pay out, I smell BULL...So now a claim of £50000 is being made so I can replace all the items as I am not allowed to have my items back and give them their deposit back. I am sure there are better companies out there who don't lie. If you decide to use them which is your choice, I advise that you take photos or everything and get them to sign a statement your end that they are satisfied with the item and the agreed amount on collection.

UPDATE: Threatening me with defamation unless this is removed. I am not removing and claim was submitted this morning.

A bad experience

I won't be using Pearlly again, based on my experience I would say best avoided.
The prices offered are very low but I get they need to make a profit and it was my choice to accept the offer. But I got messed around on the £160 collection fee, the subcontractor turned up at 7pm and it was one man and his young nephew. They wouldn't have been able to complete the job without my help, a good hour of my evening wasted and they knocked walls and scratched the wooden floor. No apologises from Pearlly, just excuses.
Pearlly advised me it was payment on collection, I got paid a week later having chased them on a number of occasions.
A bad experience.

We appreciate the time taken to report on the experience of our service.
We advise payments are made after full inspection. In this case, items were received damaged without prior knowledge, thus delaying payment. We also advise that full details are given regarding the removal of heavy items down winding staircases so that the sufficient labour can be sent for removal.

LACK OF customer service

I’m very disappointed with my experience. I had been trying to get in touch for over 7 days to sell an item. When I finally heard back, the tone of the email felt dismissive and rude.

Being told the payout would be “less than £50” as though that automatically makes it not worthwhile was presumptive - that should be for the customer to decide. A more courteous and timely response would have gone a long way.

Unfortunately, based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend.

I would use Pearlly again.

Communication: Excellent

Price point for furniture: In my case Pearlly paid 15% of the purchase price.

Pick up: Unfortunately this was slightly delayed but that said the team communicated with me throughout.

Payment: The Pearlly team transferred payment once their removals team had checked the furniture. I then verified receipt before it was loaded.

I would use Pearlly again, you get less money than selling privately but when busy working it removes having to deal with enquiries/viewings and haggling over the asking price.

They will do everything to not pay you

They will do everything to not pay you. I had to chase multiple times to get payout from them and each time there was some sort of 'delay' excuse. If I hadn't been persistent then who knows if I would have ever gotten paid! Everything just took a long time

Pleased with Service / Outcome

Generally prompt response times though occasionally needed chasing. Open discussion about offer / value. Based on my experience would use again and recommend.

Excellent service!

Great communcation from beginning to end! Taite and his team were great to work with. Honest and everything went to plan! We were on a tight timeline but had the furniture assessed, photographed and collected within days. Payment on time as promised! Would recommend if you need a hassle free sale and restricted for time! Thank you Pearlly!

These people will rip you off and try…

These people will rip you off and try to force you to sell the piece of furniture for as little as possible, even though they know the actual price on the market. I have a very bad experience, where they refused to pay me a decent amount of money for a piece of furniture from Anthropologie. Later on they accused me of lying about where the item came from and offering an even more ridiculous sum for it. Avoid at all cost, as they will rip you off.

We apologise you had a negative experience, however, if you submit furniture with no proof of the brand, you may receive an offer that's less than expected.

This may not initially be clear to sellers but we are not obligated to offer the amount you may be expecting for your used furniture.
