I’m sorry to learn that you’ve experienced a loss of pension value due to market volatility. When markets are down, all funds invested in equity are impacted.
However, it is important to remember that as pensions are long term investments, it’s not unusual that the value will go up and down during its lifetime. Please know that through diversification of funds within our plans, we help minimise the risk of sharp market movements like this, so that when one area of investment is negatively affected, the others are not equally affected, which means your entire pension will not be lost. Nevertheless, I understand that drops like this can be disconcerting, as it is your hard-earned money after all.

Friendly and efficient service
After a lot of research I decided to consolidate my pensions with PensionBee. I had a few difficulties with my existing providers and their nominated associate providers (all big market names) but my PensionBee account manager quickly and seamlessly resolved them. Great to have a dedicated account manager to contact regarding all queries. My previous provider seems to be dragging their feet transferring my final pot but my account manager seems to have it moving now. App easy to use and up to date information on transfers and transactions easily accessible. Good choice of plans to invest my pension in and easy to switch plans. It was easy to arrange a drawdown on the App and it went through seamlessly as arranged. So far so good, I am extremely pleased with the service I have received and would highly recommend PensionBee.
