They have really gone downhill. Soooo many better, more flavorful options out there! My most recent purchase of peppercorns were old and stale.

Used to be good, but recently tastes stale and poor quality. Did they change their sourcing?

There was a human finger nail in the rosemary and moldy, black dirty powder in the cumin that was brand new. Disgusting.

My wife is African. Spices from her country are real. Penzys is just crap. Over priced. And their email blasts are very “ugly” and slanted. They should just sell spices and shut up. I don’t want to buy from anyone who rants like their ceo. I’m a registered Democrat. And even I know this company and their ceo are absolutely wrong in their racist comments.

The CEO Bill Penzy seems a bit mentally ill. Calling people racist merely because of one's skin color or political beliefs is racist in itself. Myself, my family and friends refuse to support such a racist CEO spewing nasty words about people he doesn't know. Do yourself a favor and find another supplier. Overpriced spices, no better than the grocery store brands. Plus their crazy political rants are off putting.

I cannot believe that a business owner when Covid is hurting most business would act like this. When I read it I called the store in Houston, Texas and asked if they had been hacked. They said no and gave me a number to call and I left a number to call me back and i never heard from him. I will never buy from them again and I urge all to agree to this!!!!!!

I am extremely disgusted by this company and what they stand for! They have openly support people killing children! I do not understand how anyone could support a business such as this. I will never buy from them again and I hope this bring awareness to where their priorities are.... shut them down!

On Martin Luther King (MLK) Jr. Day, a spice company sent out an email calling all Republicans "racist" who largely hope to one day "shoot a Black person."

Penzeys Spices, a Wisconsin-based company, issued an email promotion Jan. 14 dubbing the MLK holiday weekend, "Republicans are racist weekend."

I usually liked Penzeys though always felt they were overpriced and a bit pretentious (pico fruta). Just discovered the remnants of a worm in one jar (bouquet garni). Makes me wonder if their quality control is gone. I contacted them but so far no answer. Sad to see them go this far diwnhill.
