Had a small issue with our boiler timer which unfortunately turned into a full boiler replacement after the old unit failed a carbon monoxide test. The team at Plumb London were fantastic in arranging an immediate installation for a new Glowworm boiler, and everyone in the office was extremely polite, professional, and clear about the process.

My only concern was with the engineer. His tone came across as harsh and caused unnecessary stress for my partner and me. While I fully understand the seriousness of the situation, being told repeatedly that the boiler would “never pass” a safety inspection felt more like a reprimand than helpful guidance. We aren’t experts in central heating, and I had ensured the boiler was serviced this year and the year before, so it was upsetting to feel blamed for something beyond our knowledge.

That said, the engineer did eventually give us the options and did a good job removing the old boiler and installing the new one quickly, and the installation itself was done well.

Overall, the service was prompt and professional, though I hope future engineers could approach stressful situations with a bit more understanding and clear guidance rather than alarm.

The initial installation was great and informative, but this last service wasn’t as great. There is a cupboard next to the boiler which is mysteriously broken since the visit. Also my daughter-in-law who was here for the visit showed the engineer a button on our control panel that jams in place, but he didn’t do anything or offer any type of support.

I cant recommend Plumb London enough! Professional, efficient and offered to come out the same day but I was unavailable. Came the next day and fixed our leak. Plumber was fantastic!

I recently had a new boiler installed by this company and, unfortunately, the entire experience has been very disappointing. Communication throughout the process was unclear and inconsistent. The engineer was often unprofessional, appeared under pressure, and even admitted during our conversation that this should have been a two-person job but he was sent alone. Despite paying close to £4,000, I received no proper explanations about the work being done, no videos or photos despite asking several times, and no clear updates on what the actual issues were.

Even after more than 10 days since completion, I still have not received the gas safety certificate, warranty, or final installation report. When I raised these concerns directly with the company’s management, instead of taking responsibility or working towards a fair solution, their response was mainly to defend the engineer’s behaviour rather than address the unresolved problems.

While I fully understand the importance of following gas safety regulations, the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and one-sided handling of my complaint have made this an unnecessarily stressful and disappointing experience.

Plumb London have performed a number of jobs in our home including to our boiler and heating system, fitted kitchen, appliances and taps. They have been very reliable, considerate, and the work has been completed to a very high standard. Would happily recommend them to others.

Booked a boiler service which was carried out by friendly and efficient engineer in good time and for a good price too.

Their gas engineer Ivo claims he has 20 years experience.

In reality he refused to explain technical details of his work - "it's technical", which would have been ok if he then gave me the right read on the negative pressure threshold.

He recommended a major service, costing over £100 which turned out to not be required due to him misreading "greater than" for "less than"

(this was 2 years ago but i'm still unhappy because they call up asking for more business)
