Amazing variety of rock and metal. Great ratio of new music as well as the classics. Great DJ’s that don’t sound like robots. Probably the best £5.99 I spend a month.

I strongly recommend that you try Primordial Radio. I haven't found a better way to discover new (and old) rock and metal music, that you simply won't hear on other radio stations. It is a superb continually evolving rock and metal station that is delivered by a passionate team. The presenters serve you outstanding radio shows with knowledge, humour, inclusivity and honesty. No pretension, no hidden agendas, and no adverts (or news/traffic/weather). Primordial is funded by its listeners and run for the benefit of the whole rock and metal community. To me, it's worth every penny of the subscription fee.

Best £5:99 spent each month. As a trucker the majority of our fleet have the basic radio's so it was a case of listening to R1,R2 or the commercial stations. If I was lucky to get a truck with a digital radio then it was Planet Rock, so most of the time it was my ipod, listening to Foo's, Radiohead, Muse etc which was great, and still is, but I needed more. Since I was introduced to Primordial radio I'm now listening to a huge range of rock, metal, punk and anything in-between that I would have never listened to before. It's a pleasure now to drive hearing different bands, songs and great presenters. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My musical taste is stuck in the early 90s and I'm quite comfortable with that, however with spotify rotating motley crue and metallica it gets a bit repetitive.
I do like the fact that radio in general, and Primordial Radio specifically, gives me new stuff to listen to. Some if it terrible, most is ok and some is fantastic.
Through primordial I've discovered new bands from Volbeat to arch enemy to skindred to... the list goes on but i'd have come across none of this in my spotify rut.
The honesty and style of the presenters also make it feel like you're really part of the community, you don't get the staid "Phone in with your favourite biscuit choice", "Tell us what you did at the weekend with 3 words". This is a way of hearing new music, the classics while also listening to a friend talk honestly with you.

The best online rock and metal radio station.
1. Play a good mix of rock and metal. Play the classics, the lesser known song, and introduce new music. If you love rock and metal and want to expand your music beyond what you already know, and what an algorithm suggests for you then you'll love Primordial.
2. The PR community is the best, very supportive and friendly. The presenters are very much part of the community.
3. I love the values of PR. The way the station is building, the consideration and support of mental health, environmental and sustainability impacts. There are no commercials, and it feels like the station is being built for the community.

Having listened to the station since day 0 the community that has developed here is amazing much more now than just a radio station. On air the presenters themselves are all fantastic and the focus on new music and not just the big hits is a fresh approach, so much so that it makes the big hits sound even better when they do get played.

The title says it all really, Primordial Radio is as good as it gets if you're into rock & metal.
I've listened to these presenters since the Rock Radio, Real Radio XS & Team Rock days and what they've built with Primordial Radio is truly unique, so much so I even bought shares to show support.
I think they still do a free 3 month trial, give it a go, no ads and 3 months worth of Ted for nowt!

Having been a listener of TeamRock radio I was so glad when Moose Pete and Dews set up Primordial and I was happy to be one of the original investors and also added to that in the second funding round. The station plays awesome music but the community it has built around the station is worth the 5 stars alone.

I love Primordial. I’ve found so many new bands that I wouldn’t have even thought to listen to. I’ve also made so many new friends. I’ve fallen back in love with rock and metal and it’s all thanks to Primordial. Take up the free three month trial and make up your own mind, you won’t be sorry!

The only rock and metal station worth listening too. Music for the community. Never any ads, except for Ted's hilarious tongue-in-cheek ads!

For me the station has the perfect blend of music and personality from each of the presenters, the merch is always top quality and a wide variety to choose from, they have plenty of fun little things to join in with too (Freespin Friday, OWWB etc) and now the content on twitch is also getting better as they all clearly get more used to it... looking forward to seeing it continue to grow and being a part of the best community I’ve witnessed

I was delighted when I found out that the guys from a recently defunct and pissed-about-with radio station were starting up on their own. They had a clear strategy and made everything community led so I signed up early on and have been a subscriber ever since. The roster of presenters is fabulous and the music played is exactly up my straße. Plenty of new music and no over-reliance on the so-called classics like other ‘rock’ radio stations. The heart of the station will always be Pete, Dews and Moose and those chaps are exactly why I followed them on their adventure.

Online rock radio. No adds. No corporate rubbish. It's like you and your mates ran your own radio station. Emphasis on emerging artists and new music from established acts. Freespin Friday is a delight.

Excellent radio station, and you get to be part of an awesome community as well. A full range of rock and mental music, lots of new bands, and a listener request DAY every Friday as the icing on the cake! Aaaaaaand, no ads! Ever!! You could not ask for more!! Brilliant!!

I hate reviewing things, but as someone with an abundance of opinions, I thought I better as this station really is one of my more important streaming services after Disney+ for the kids...

I listen maybe 6-7 hours a day during the week. In that time I might hear anything played from really classic rock through punk pop and brand new music. Since subscribing I have discovered so many new bands and tunes that make my day.
The chat between songs with real DJ's puts Primordial way above leaving Amazon Music or Spotify playing in the background - and unlike commercial radio there are zero adverts getting in the way of the music.

Presenters from (literally) around the world, of all stripes, genuinely care about the music, the listeners, mental health issues, the environment. Its more than just a radio station, its therapy delivered aurally

To describe Primordial as just a radio station would be doing it a huge disservice, its more of a village.

The radio station of course is the main hub. There are no ads, diverse music, a plethora of new music and don't just regurgitate the same old tunes over and over. Although it is a rock and metal station, it's not wall to wall blast beats.

There is a huge smorgasbord of presenters, each with their own style, now with international presenters too.

There is a huge social community and its really that community that sets it apart from the other offerings. Community and altruism is at the core and is bound by the 3 rules at the heart

Fridays are Free Spin Fridays, essentially request shows all day. Where else in the world are you likely to hear Jolene by Dolly Parton followed by Hammer Smashed Face by Cannibal Corpse?
