Every detail, including the booking, communication, ground transportation, pre-cruise tours, lodging in Quito, and the entire Grace experience was well planned, and executed flawlessly. We were thoroughly informed of what to expect, what to pack, and what type of activities would be offered. On board the Grace yacht, our suite and the common areas were quite comfortable. The staff and guides were very knowledgeable, professional, and a joy to be around. We participated in hikes, snorkeling and panga rides. Most of all, we accomplished our goal of seeing the abundance of unique birds, animals and sea life up close, and learning about the Galapagos Islands through this experience.

Our pleasant experience began long before going on the trip. The company did such a thorough job on all parts of preparation. The tour guide that was arranged for us in Quito before going to Galapagos was very pleasant. She showed and taught us so much about the Quito area. It was fun. Onboard the Grace Yacht was a wonderful crew that worked hard to coordinate and make everything as perfect as it could be. We have traveled a lot and have had different kinds of experiences all over the U.S. and world, but this trip will stand out as one of our best experiences.

Wow, what a fantastic experience, it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we couldn’t have been happier, the boat was truly beautiful and all the crew and naturalists were so friendly. A special shout out to Lennie. We were travelling with our 2 boys aged 6 & 8 and everyone was so welcoming; the kids had the time of their lives and we met some lovely people on the boat.

Loved our time on the Evolution! Naturalists, crew, the schedule and food were excellent. We could not have asked for a better time!

I had very high expectations for this trip— exotic animals, Pacific islands, Darwin’s history, Quasar’s previous honors — and our recent week on the Evolution surpassed them all!
As expected, the trip was perfectly organized and designed, the rooms were more than comfortable (dry towels - always! Cleaned rooms - always!), the food was great — varied, plentiful, delicious.
The surpassing parts were the charm and quality of the crew, the perfect scale of the 32 passenger boat, the social pleasures of sharing this time with a great group of people. The size of the gathering places - dining rooms, lounge, decks, dinghies - made conversation and relationships, or privacy and rest, easy. The ten kids quickly formed a gang who shared meals and games as well as hikes and swims. The guides and dinghy crews kept me well-informed, well-protected and well-amused!

The pre-trip information package was thorough and essential. My only negative feedback is that it was sent repeatedly from various emails (or the website), and overwhelmed me as I reread pages, unsure if new or more specific info was included.

Our Galapagos holiday was wonderful from start to finish. This started with the booking experience where Quasar called us and explained everything we wanted to know and helped us to get exactly what we wanted. We had a couple of nights in Quito with a great tour of the city. Then we travelled to Galapagos and the Grace. The boat was everything we had hoped for and our guides and crew were exceptional. Our fellow guests were also good company which is important because the boat is small and there is nowhere to hide! This was a bucket list trip for my wife, which she has wanted to do for so long. It is the most expensive single holiday we have taken but it still felt good value given the service, facilities and last but not least the Islands and the not to be missed animals. We got to see all the animals we wished for at very close quarters and got to swim with turtles, iguanas, sea lines and penguins. We even got distant sightings of whales one evening. It is amazing how close you can get and how they are just not bothered. My longest telephoto lens was a waste of time and dead weight as it was simply not needed although I do wish I had invested in a better underwater camera. All in all a once in a lifetime experience.

Snorkeling at Champions was the highlight. All excursions were better than Grace.
We were on Grace 5 months ago when one of the two naturalists had a cough on the second day & he was immediately quarantined to protect others. However on Evolution one of the 3 naturalists had a sore throat, cough & was losing his voice midway on the trip but continued guiding the entire trip without a mask. Several guests started coughing in the Buffet lines & although I didn’t get Covid, 2 out of the six of us traveling together had symptoms towards the end of the cruise & came home with Covid. I don’t know how many others got Covid from this Evolution trip.

Don’t think twice about booking with Quasar. This was our first trip with them and I hope it won’t be the last. They take care of all travel connections and they were flawless. The accommodations were excellent and the food was fantastic. The Naturalist guides were absolutely the best. Very knowledgeable and easily shared their knowledge. Not to mention how much fun they were. The Galápagos Islands are a wonderful experience in themselves, but Quasars assistance was above and beyond in making this trip memorable.

From meeting us at the airport as we began our vacation to the airport again at the end of our trip it was nothing but excellent customer service. The trip was fabulous and the crew and itinerary far exceeded our expectations. I can’t say enough about how great our trip was

From our first contact with Quasar to the moment we returned home it was nothing short of a spectacular experience. Quasar was there every step of the way to ensure all our needs were taken care of. We stepped off the airplane in Ecuador and were immediately met by a friendly and professional driver who welcomed us and took us to our first destination in Old Town Quito. From there they arranged a stay in Quito, transfer to a 4 day experience in the Amazon, transfer back to Quito and on to the Galapagos islands for our 1 week adventure aboard The Evolution, transfer back to Quito for a full day tour of Otovalo and a final transfer back to the airport for our journey home. Every Quasar employee was a pleasure to deal with. I would travel with Quasar again and again and highly recommend them to anyone considering a trip to the Galapagos.

Traveling to the Galapagos Islands with Quasar Expeditions aboard the Evolution was one of the best travel experiences I have had so far. We had been looking forward to this trip because it was a destination we had on our Bucket List for a long time, and thanks to Quasar, the trip was everything we had hoped for and more.

The whole process, from the contact with the team before the trip, the information they sent us, the help to know what to pack, the attention at the airport,... in short, every detail of the process left us very satisfied.

Once we arrived at the beautiful yacht, the personalized attention of the crew was one of the highlights of the trip. From the guides, Cesar the bartender, or any assistant on board, everyone was always with a smile and attentive to any need, even anticipating them. The food and snacks were very diverse and with an excellent cuisine, my compliments to the chef, he made me gain a couple of pounds in those days.

The three guides (Bolo, Alex and Cristina) were so lovely, all super friendly and fun and so knowledgeable. You could ask them any question and they always had an answer. I was a little anxious before snorkeling but they always made me feel safe and comfortable.

The experience with Quasar Expeditions aboard the Evolution is simply fantastic! My expectations were high as I had researched previously and they exceeded them by far.

The first thing I want to highlight is the organization, there is nothing that is not covered by each and every one of the Quasar staff at every stage of the trip. From the airport, to the yacht, to the guides, everything is perfectly synchronized.

Secondly, I would like to highlight the experience on board. The crew takes care of even the smallest detail, when we came back from snorkeling and the water was a bit chilly, they waited for us on the yacht with hot chocolate and this is barely a detail.

We had the opportunity to go on tours with each one of the guides and it is incredible the level of knowledge and experience they have no matter where they are on the itinerary. You can tell they have many years of experience and know the islands from A to Z.

These 7 days aboard the Evolution have been the best vacation I have had in a long time. Congratulations, keep it up!

Our family of 10 (2 grandparents, 2 kids and spouses and 4 grandchildren) enjoyed the adventure of a lifetime aboard the MY Grace August of 2022. It was a "bucket list" item that seemed perfect for us given the continuing concerns for COVID-19. Our trip exceeded our expectations in every way. The service, staff and accommodations aboard the yacht were outstanding. Our two naturalists were extremely knowledgeable and did a great job engaging us and the children in so many wonderful activities. We never tired of the amazing wildlife and spectacular scenery. We recommend Quasar and this trip to anyone looking for an intimate cruise experience rich with adventure and wildlife interaction.

Our experience on the Quasar cruise aboard the M/Y Grace in the Galapagos, was sublime. Certainly, the Galapagos with its primeval landscapes and unparalleled opportunities to see wildlife up-close is unique. Just as certainly, the Grace is comfortable and elegant, with a timeless cozy charm, though not grandiose or ostentatious. The Galápagos Islands, seen from the home base of the M/Y Grace constitute a solid foundation for a great trip, however the crown jewel is the staff and guides of the Grace. They transformed a wonderful experience into a magical experience.

Where can I begin? Frankly, before our trip began I was skeptical about how much "joy and discovery" were to be found amongst these islands of rocks and birds. The staff and guides worked seamlessly and tirelessly to create an environment where joy and discovery were yet one more natural phenomenon, to be experienced effortlessly. Like we say in the US, as easy as falling off a log.

The staff of the Grace were unfailingly warm, welcoming, and gracious. Their tireless efforts to ensure our happiness were an inspiration. Their relaxed teamwork, coordinated without apparent organization, never once forgot about our safety and well-being. Their attention to small details was continually surprising and refreshing. Every time we returned to Grace from snorkeling we were welcomed with towels and refreshments. Every time we returned to our cabin from breakfast, our rooms had been cleaned and our bed made. At the risk of sounding facetious, I felt like Princess Grace.

Our guides, Walter and Hernan, allowed us to set the pace. They were both enthusiastic with apparently boundless knowledge of the environment, teaching us how to see the remarkable landscape and inhabitants of the Galapagos. Friendly and approachable, they gently encouraged us to see more of the Galapagos and its strange creatures, to see more deeply into the mysteries of why such a place exists.

Scarlett, thank you for your warmth and attention. Talking with you was like basking in the sun. Your attention to details never flagged and I always felt I belonged there, like a member of the Family. I want to be your friend.

This trip truly lives up to all the hype. Everyday was thoughtfully planned and well executed by the staff. The food on the Expedition was delicious and nutritious. Highlights included snorkeling with penguins, sea lions and sharks. Every single interaction on the boat was positive- the guides and entire staff were top notch. We did our trip with a 9 and 6 year old, and they felt included in everything we did.
