RAC Mobile Mechanics Avis 

Tuned up half hour late. Asked if the car parked next to my van was the job???. Put his dirty tool kit on my seat without a seat cover or cleaning it afterwards. Said he had finished job without actually checking it. I checked it and clutch pedal was half way up and grinding gears before I did test drive. Covered my engine bay in brake fluid along with the ground underneath my van which I had to clean up myself. Clutch I believe has air in the system because when I drive I have to pump the pedal occasionally. Pretty shocking really considering the price. Will definitely not be using your service again.

My home service engineer was Efficient and friendly. Alex answered all my questions.

Repair was very efficient and thorough. Lewis our mobile mechanic was extremely friendly and helpful. It wasn’t a straight forward repair, however he still managed to complete the job with great success.

Automatic yearly renewal took £148 out of my account for standard renewal without sending me any notification. Rang them and was told £24 rebate would be return. Still waiting. Will never use them sgain

Michael did a great job in very hot conditions. He collected the necessary part and fitted it with great attention to detail and skill. He was courteous, informative and very personable. My only criticism (which was not his fault) is that we weren’t given a time frame for the repair, just that it would be before 5.30, which meant hanging around waiting for the whole day. If this aspect could be addressed, it would take the experience to the highest level.

Excellent service carried out by a very experienced mechanic. Identified other problems with my van and put my mind at rest about other issues needing fixed. I would definitely use the RAC mobile mechanic service again in the future.

Alex - 8567 - huge thanks to Alex who came out today to fit a new drive shaft on my 87 year old Dad’s car. He kept us informed of his arrival time and arrived promptly . To quote my Dad - “He was excellent! I mentioned to him that I would be contacting RAC regarding his attitude, work effort, arriving on time. He even noticed that I had a dodgy tyre and he even checked the others. A very pleasant person .”

Simon was really friendly & professional, kept me informed and fixed my car even though he thought it might not be possible if he came across an issue that he’d experienced before. He also called to give an estimate of when he would arrive at my property the previous day. I also received texts on the day re arrival. From a price for the work carried out, I have no idea but the convenience of the car being fixed at my home was worth every penny as I now have a car I can safely use. Thank you RAC. Work was carried out with efficiency and expertise. The mechanic is evidently very experienced and I am very pleased with the quality of his work. This is the second time I have used the RAC for a car servicing.

Good mechanic who was very knowledgeable to my questions, job was completed in good time and on the weekend.
