Adding breakdown cover to policy
I spoke to an advisor on 23rd September to discuss our Insurance renewal and if we could add RAC breakdown. I explained we had a stand alone breakdown policy valid until the end of October. He told me to call in October and it could be added at a cost of between £45 and £79.99 for the 11 months remaining motor insurance term. My stand alone renewal for breakdown is £214 and last years policy £106. Today I have been told that it isn't possible to upgrade our policy to include breakdown. Misinformed...also it seems from others reviews it often is included with renewal. Will be looking at other options of cover in future

I contacted Rac as my insurance was due…
I contacted Rac as my insurance was due for renewal. Due to an insurance claim in the current year, the quote I received was a lot more than previously (even though I have protected no claims bonus).
I negotiated with a very helpful customer service person who lowered the cost to a level I was happy with.

Peace of mind.
Comforting to have changed to a motor insurance policy generated by a motoring organisation. The set up process of this on-line cover was easy to follow with bot advice available at every point.

Like most of us I searched through all the comparison sites I knew. However, in the end I stayed with the RAC because the renewal quote I had from them could not be beaten. Great value.

I like that it's very simple to renew
I like that it's very simple to renew - all I have to do is check that the facts on the documents are correct and then leave it all to the RAC. Getting breakdown cover with the insurance saves me money and everyone I've spoken to has been very helpful and friendly.
