Portfolio Review
My advisor was reviewing my portfolio with me on the telephone. He explained everything well and answered my question clearly . ( I sometimes have the review in persom) this saved me having to travel.

I have been using Redmayne Bentley for several years now and I have been pleased with the service I have received. Whether I phone or call in their office (York branch) I am always seen or have my call answered promptly. Their website is easy to use and gives me a clear picture of my investments. The service seems so much more friendly than I was receiving from my bank.

Overseas Worker As I work abroad and my IT skills are…
As I work abroad and my IT skills are not that of the younger generation, I decided to engage with a broker. Redmayne Bentley have an office that is not too far from my home in the Scottish highlands, so I elected to engage with them. I have been trading with them since 2019 and I cannot speak highly enough of the ladies in the Huntly office.
There is a 7/8-hour time difference and when I commence a trade, the girls are onto it in a flash. If there is any doubt, they pick up the phone and call me in Malaysia.
I could go on, but suffice to say my experience with RB has been positive and a big thanks to the ladies in Huntly.

Complaint…
I have complained several times about the new app,had bungling apologies, but no concrete explanation, difficulty logging in.
Was sent an email saying that I have a new document to view, I go to the document page...no New document?
When I go to the up and coming divided section I get a couple for February, one for March and then it leaps to September.
I have been a client of Redmayne Bentley for almost 50 years,I'm away on holiday abroad at the moment, but when I return, I will be visiting their office in Leeds and closing my account.

Online investors' portal is dreadful
The online investors' portal is dreadful. Can anyone make sense of their accounting? Transactions show up in duplicate for no obvious reason and the transaction narratives are often incomprehensible. The only way to keep track seems to be a full off-line tickback.

We have always taken steps to consider and ensure the appropriateness of our fees and charges in line with the service provided for the safe custody and associated administration of client investments. We make details of our fees and charges, which are typical in the marketplace, available to all clients and inform of any changes in advance of these taking effect.
Back office can't get the basics right
It is now 8 months since the end of the 22-23 tax year and Redmayne Bentley have still not provided me with a correct tax certificate (CTC) which I need for my tax return. When it was originally issued I spotted several issues with incorrect classification between interest and dividends and despite giving them the information they have failed to correct it, and I now have no faith in their remaining information. They have broken several promised response deadlines without even an apology. I have now resorted to a formal complaint but am told that it will take up to 8 weeks for them to respond to that so I am left in limbo in the meantime. Their fees aren’t cheap so I would expect better service than this. How can such a big firm have a back office that don’t know what they are doing?

Our regulators, the Financial Conduct Authority, permit us up to eight weeks to respond to complaints, though we respond more quickly when we are able to do so.
