Made in CHINA
Made in CHINA. Ruth going out of business because she found cheaper distribution through China.
My order arrived yesterday, one look and it was clear these were not quality items. The painted gold earrings actually bent when I opened the back up. This jewelry is not professionally made. BTW - they’re sorry I want to return it, but unless it’s damaged, broken or missing they don’t accept returns.
Fraud and scam artists
This company fraudulently declares it is based in the U.S., creating a fake persona of a jewelry designer named Ruth that does not exist. They also crafted a sob story about she is going out of business, etc… Shop Pay should stop doing business with companies like this. I cancelled my order.
this is a total scam
this is a total scam
They represent that they are a US based jeweler, but they are in China; most importantly, they say that the jewelry is sterling silver when it is pure junk......costume and everything is fake. Don't fall for the pretty ads!
Not expecting anything good
I ordered 4 pairs of earrings from this so called company located in the states. But I just got tracking information and find out it’s coming from China. I wish I read the reviews first because I would never have ordered. I assume from these postings that I’m in for more junk from China. Lesson learned, read reviews first. I think I’ll notify the BBB and see what happens with their ad on Facebook.
Deceptive marketing & poor quality
I ordered several items on sale and it turned out too good to be true. The website suggested the jewelry was handmade in the US but the items came from China and the quality is very poor. It looks like I can’t return them because they were on sale. Also, the adjustable ring broke the first time I wore it. And, the contact information for returns doesn’t work.
I also wish I had done my research
I also wish I had done my research. After getting tracking information I knew immediately that this was NOT an Arizona based company as described, but that the product would be coming from China. This is the absolute LAST time I will order anything from FB. I did email them and surprisingly they responded, saying the following: We are a proud US-based company with our main operations and headquarters located here. However, for larger-scale production and to accommodate the space needed for crafting our handmade jewelry, we utilize warehouse facilities in China. I will also be reporting to my bank.
Wish I had read these reviews too
Wish I had read these reviews too. Total Bait and switch, copied pictures from somewhere else and this is cheap Chinese crap.
FRAUD all the way.
Boy do I wish I would’ve seen these…
Boy do I wish I would’ve seen these reviews before I fell for this! I literally (just last night asked for a return) and they stated that they don’t take returns unless it’s damaged, etc. etc. what a crock! The quality is that of a gumball machine. And yes, certainly was not a company from the United States complete garbage! Don’t fall for this come on on Facebook!
I would have given a 0 if possible
I would have given a 0 if possible. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!! Not made in USA, made in CHINA, shipped from CHINA!!! Very disappointed, I read that poor Ruth was closing her USA business! Selling everything!!! SCAM, and it’s on its long journey to me from China!!!!!
This is a scam
This is a scam. The jewelry is from china and likely not worth more than $3-5 at most per pair. I will be reporting to better business bureau. I encourage others to do the same. This should be pulled from Facebook.
Another Jewelry Lover to Get Scammed
I am another sucker who fell for the "Ruth's Gems" Facebook ad! Their site has pictures that feature beautiful jewelry, some actually copied from Sundance Catalogue! In fact I bought a pair of earrings I'd originally seen in Sundance. As other reviewers here so aptly describe, the "jewelry" is junk. You can see the way the "stones" are glued to the plastic that is called "sterling silver"! I wish I'd come to this site before buying!
I have not received my products yet
I have not received my products yet, but came across the reviews here after seeing that my products are being shipped from china. I'm anticipating the same results as everyone else here. I also noticed that there is another site called Kate's Gems that has the same problematic reviews. I am not feeling very confident but if something miraculously happens, I will update my review.
Chinese not USA Ruth!
No stars! Once I saw the shipping I reached out about the China shipping - I was confused!

Adding to my review - scam company
Adding to my review. The products shipped via a Chinese shipper, my funds were processed by a company in the Netherlands, yet this "person" claims to be American and working from Airzona.
So sorry I did not see these reviews…
So sorry I did not see these reviews first! Complete scam. The jewelyr came, absolutely not what was pictured, but of such poor quality, it's nothing but junk. I tried to reach out to return them, only to be told that their policy does not allow it, but their policy says absolutely nothing about this. I will be contacting my credit card company for a refund and to report them as scammers. Maybe Wells Fargo can stop another person from spending $ on this scam.
Claimed to be an US business located in…
Claimed to be an US business located in Arizona but all the items I purchased being shipped from China. SCAM
Scam
As the other reviewers noted, this is cheap quality jewelry shipped from China. They lifted some jewelers profile and loaded it to Instagram to advertise these wares. DO NOT PURCHASE.
Jewelry Scammer!!
I had great expectations for this jewelry. I ordered five pieces. They are all very cheap looking. She claims she makes these by hand. There was a tag on a necklace that said made in China. When I took one of the earrings out of the package it broke. Do not order. I am contacting my credit card company and trying to get my charge reversed. She is a scammer.
