Very easy to fill in the online insurance questionnaire. I only needed contents insurance and was happy with the quote. I could pay via 10 months direct debit interest free! So far so good.

SAGIC auto renewal error
I had notified SAGIC of change of card number which wasn't actioned properly, which resulted in auto renewal not being successful. I was away on holiday when the renewal should have been actioned. This caused me some distress because of my holiday location and the difficulty I faced contacting them. The person I spoke to was however very helpful and apologetic.

Having investigated your feedback, we found that although your payment card details were updated before renewal, they were unfortunately not linked correctly on your policy. This meant your renewal payment could not be processed, and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and worry this caused.
We appreciate your comments about the colleague who assisted you and are pleased they were able to help resolve the issue. We have also used your experience as a learning opportunity and are providing additional guidance to our team to help prevent this happening again.

Was looking at "which" website recommendations for home insurance. SAGIC was rated highly. I went online and got a quote which was very similar to my existing provider after their renewal increase. The cover appears superior. What made me go ahead is the highly regarded 5* reviews of existing customers. The documentation seems very straightforward compared to others.
