SBA.com is a SCAM

SBA.com is a SCAM! The phone number is a recording and lead to nowhere, AND the address is a UPS Store in 40 E Main St, Newark, DE 19711. It is a PO Box address and not a real office. The pop up link to their website showed up as I was reviewing SBA.gov and my information is fraudulently being used. Please remove my information as you are not authorized to process or use my identification.

Hi Charlie,

Thanks for reaching out. We can assure you that we are not a scam. The mailing address we have listed is a P.O. box because our company is run over the internet. Our phone number and website provide instructions on how you can get in contact with us.

Otherwise, your review does not make much sense to us. There is no way that the SBA.gov website (which is run by the U.S. Small Business Administration) would have included a pop up link to SBA.com.

Did you submit a loan request using the form on our website? If so, this form is powered by our lending partner Lendio and nothing else happens with the information you submit on that form. So, your information was not used in any fraudulent way and you can submit a request to delete your information at https://www.sba.com/contact-us.

If you did not submit a loan request, then we do not understand the nature of your complaint.

If you have any other questions, please fill out our form on https://www.sba.com/contact-us/ and a member of our support team will get back to you.

Best regards,
SBA.com

Someone has applied for a loan in my…

Someone has applied for a loan in my name with Womply fast lane. I received a text message from Womply saying I need to do a selfie I replied I have never applied for a loan. I emailed Womply 3 times and no response. I tried calling and their number is down. I then called SBA and they said call their fraud line and it referred me to a website to report fraud and you have to know the name of the person who is doing the fraud to report it. SBA has created a System that allows for Fraud because they are giving out loans and not thinking about online Fraud and making a way for people to report it. I have tried every way I know to report it and I am still not successful. SBA please help me.

Hi Olphia -
It seems you may have confused us with the U.S. Small Business Administration (sba.gov). We are an unrelated private organization: Small Business Advice (sba.com). We are sorry for the troubles you've had dealing with U.S. Small Business Administration, but in light of this confusion, we hope you consider removing your review.

Appreciative

Sba agents take the bulk of our worst nightmare of having to actually having to take out a loan after being in business for so many years I just wanted to say thanks and if I was at all a bother or stressful I truly apologize some of the agents were just trying to help but some wasn’t and unfortunately it might have came into the dealings but I just wanted to say thanks again!!!

5 Years later...Our Lives were Miraculously Saved

In 2016, we had a second flood from Hurricane Irma--11 months after our home flooded from Hurricane Matthew--only this time, in Irma, our small coastal marina was destroyed, and our business was in shambles. We had managed to work our way through flood insurance when our garage flooded from Hurricane Matthew, but there was no way we could survive the devastation of that second storm. Irma had left our docks destroyed, our marina office in shambles, and we were left to pay to remove sunken boats, as well as the debris and destruction to our marina uplands. It wasn't an easy process to deal with all the hoops we jumped through to get an SBA Disaster Relief Loan, but it was worth the hassle, a million times over! Through no individual's fault, it is a long process, and as more and more disasters hit our country, more demand is placed on the devoted employees of the SBA. Immediately after Hurricane Irma, dozens of dedicated FEMA workers provided storm victims a feeling of genuine concern and hope for the future. They worked tirelessly--sometimes 7 days a week, and always, at least 6 days, for 12-16 hours a day. We were first assigned the best and most experienced SBA representatives, but they will eventually get re-assigned as other major disasters hit, and new agents slowly build their expertise handling the process. Everyone who worked with us had one defining quality: COMPASSION. We felt it from the agents in the fields, the inspectors, the appraisers and processors--I can truly say that everyone we encountered were some of the most noble and kind-hearted workers you could ever find. Our first representatives have stayed in our hearts, and they are so touched when we reach back out to remind them how much their diligent efforts helped to transform our horrible experience into a life-shaping process that has saved our business, our sanity and our financial hope for the future. These fine people are in our prayers, as is anyone who is facing the debilitating stress and fear of financial struggles after a horrific event. Thanks again, to the staff of the SBA Disaster Relief Program.

When the PPP loan process was announced…

When the PPP loan process was announced we tried to apply through our normal business bank. They were so overwhelmed we were not able to get our loan processed through them. They suggested SBA.com and we are so glad for that recommendation. SBA.com pointed us in the right direction. Helped us secure our loan and have supplied the necessary information we need to apply for forgiveness of the loan. So far it has been a great experience for our company.

SBA where is my money …

I could write an essay and dealing with the SBA. SBA been one of the worst government agencies I’ve ever dealt with. I was approved for an SBA loan three months ago. Still have not received the money that I signed for and I was approved .. that I was told would be in my account in 3 to 5 days. I have listen to four different account representative give me 20 different stories. And always tell me don’t worry you’ll be getting your money we just need to send it back to your account. I have talk to people at the SBA that I’ve got fired and left go without the SBA picking up their email or their phones leaving Go for days and weeks wondering why no one would answer me when it turns out he Attorney\representative that was working with me doesn’t even work there anymore. Now they say they reinstated new guidelines and I have to reapply remind you I have all the approved paperwork I signed up as a personal guarantor for Loan,
The paperwork shows that the timeframe of the 30 year loan is already working away at the Fre. Upon year I’ve already lost three months without even receiving the money I was told the loan will be funded within 3 to 5 days and now after three months they’re telling me I need to reapply because They have new guidelines. They have now asked me to Sign what would be fraudulent documents requesting tax returns for the Llc company wasn’t even existence for the time lines for the register tax returns. This is the most messed up federal run program I have ever seen in my life and I can assure you they are driving people in a bankruptcy instead of helping them. Good luck on receiving your money. And if you’ve received it within the timelines you are blessed.

I applied online with SBA.GOV and my…

I applied online with SBA.GOV and my search was intercepted by this company. I was under the impression that It was SBA.GOV that I was giving my very personal and private information to. I need glasses and could not see the disclosures. I realize the mistake after getting emailed by a 3rd party and calling the number 844-478-0366. This company is being operated via P.O. Box from Delaware.

I am so pissed off right now because my information could be sold to data brokers and 3rd parties without my consent.
In addition, this is high class trademark infringement. I’d like to be a lead plaintiff in a class action. I might not get a dime from a possible shell corporation but at least it would probably be shut down.

SBA is a U.S. Federal Trademark as of 03-05/14. It does not matter how many disclosures you give. I do not think that any company in their right mind would give you permission to STEAL their potential customers.

I’ve check the trademark registration and I’ll load a pic proving who it belongs to.

Hi Pam,

We're sorry for any confusion you may have experienced. We can assure you that SBA.com® is a very real website. We've been around for almost ten years providing online resources to small businesses. Over the past year and a half or so, this has included a very effective loan request service for small business loans through our referral partner Lendio.

SBA.com® makes it very clear that we are not associated with SBA.gov and that we are a private business providing resources for small businesses. When you visit SBA®.com, you are forced to acknowledge a message that states:

"You have reached SBA.com®. SBA.com® is not SBA.gov. We have no affiliation with the U.S. Small Business Administration or any other government agency. We are a private business providing resources for small businesses, including resources for PPP loans. See our Advertiser Disclosure."

Once you reach the website, every page has a large, bright disclaimer up top that reads: "SBA.com® is not associated with SBA.gov and is a private business providing resources for small businesses | Advertiser Disclosure"

Our Advertiser Disclosure is prominently linked to in numerous places throughout the site and you have to agree to it when you submit a loan request on the site. This Advertiser Disclosure very clearly describes how SBA.com's loan request service works. Loan requests were only passed on to our referral partner Lendio, which has a large nationwide network of lenders which it tries to connect you with. We do not send loan request data anywhere else.

Lastly, the federally registered trademark for "SBA" that you reference is ours. We cannot infringe our own trademark.

If you (or anyone else) would like us to delete your information from our systems, all you have to do is ask us by submitting a contact form at https://www.sba.com/contact-us/ or emailing us at support@sba.com.

Sincerely,
SBA.com®
