Fantastic customer service

i had an absolute gem of a sales lady come to my place on saturday. (Kathryn) She was amazing. We had a great conversation about installation, payment plans and the next steps. She made sure i was comfortable with everything, explained in detail and was very professional.

DO NOT RECOMMEND – Unfinished Work & Terrible After-Sales Service

I am incredibly disappointed with Screen Away. I had my screen door installed over six months ago, and the job was left incomplete. The installer arrived without the final magnetic strip—the crucial piece that actually clicks the door into place and keeps the bugs out. He promised he would return on another day to finish the job.
Six months later, I am still waiting.
I have spent the last half-year constantly chasing them up. It has been an endless cycle of countless follow-ups, empty promises, and failed attempts to get them to return. For a premium product that costs thousands of dollars, I expected professional, reliable service. Instead, I’ve been completely ghosted after they took my money.
At this stage, I am very close to registering a formal complaint with NSW Fair Trading. Save yourself the absolute headache and thousands of dollars—do not give your business to Screen Away.

Horrible install experience

Horrible install experience. Cannot recommend in good faith and would go elsewhere if I needed new actual blackout blinds.
Sales team was great however and all was too easy... Once the installer was finished, the installer onsite recommended I purchase foam to cover a light seepage at my own expense after paying well over 1k for a supposed 'blackout' blind being installed incorrectly for the window despite it being measured twice and still missed.
For a company that advertises retrofitting windows and the price charged, its completely lousy customer service, especially for the sake of a cheap foam. I gave them ample opportunity to rectify this and am left with no other option but to share my experience.
Finishing someone elses poor work I paid for is despicable business practice. Be better, Screenaway.

Warning

Warning! Overpriced and poor quality, their roller blinds are basic they are selling the fact that their sysyem is blockout.

I had a blind from Screenaway custom made and installed for my bedroom because l wanted the light blocked out.

I was quoted $5,000 for one blind and l said no way then she pretended to contact her boss and then dropped the price by 50% to $2,500 which was still very very expensive!

I had to wait quite a long time and then after it was finally installed it was all buckled along the bottom and had a line across the middle.

After chasing them with many calls and emails they replaced this faulty (brand new) blind!

This 2nd blind was just the same all buckled along the bottom, after chasing them with calls and emails they replaced this faulty blind!

The 3rd blind was just the same all buckled along the bottom, l said clearly you cannot make a blind without being buckled.

I contacted Consumer Affairs and the said this is classed as a major fault and advised me to ask Screenaway for a refund and if that doesn't work then l need to lodge a formal compliant with their office.

Screenaway would not refund my money which means l have no choice but to lodge a complaint with CA.
Just more of my time and stress but this has to be done because they cannot keep getting away with this.

Wouldn't Recommend

Unfortunately our second experience with ScreenAway did not match our first. We contacted them to add motors to our existing blinds and specifically explained to the salesman that we wanted to run the blinds on timers, which had been discussed with us during our initial install.
After only 1 out of 5 motors was installed — due to parts not being ordered for our existing blinds — we were then told that to use timers we would need to spend an additional $400 on a WiFi connector, which was never mentioned during the sales process.
We are now being refused a refund on the 4 uninstalled motors as paying an additional $400 just isnt worth it for us.
The lack of communication and organisation was really disappointing, especially after our positive first experience. Unfortunately, we won’t be using ScreenAway again moving forward.

This is not a laughing matter, to respond "lol", really? The reviews have been left by the person living at the property, the company, and the trust. These are not fake names, these are the people and entities affected by your failure to deliver. Order #116770.A, paid, no blinds, no accountability, and you respond with 'lol.' That tells us everything we need to know about how seriously you take your customers. Extremely unprofessional considering what was agreed to upon a sales consult is now being disregarded and essentially laughed at. Showing you professionalism perfectly for others to see here. Cheers guys.

Paid $3,000 for blinds and installation. No one has shown up. Still waiting after false promises. 6+ weeks.

Before I paid, they called me every single day, multiple times until I committed. During the sales consult they agreed to remove my existing curtains as part of the job. The second the money was paid, that agreement was GONE. They now refuse to do it.
Since paying I've called repeatedly. When someone actually answers they say they'll call back. They never do. The same people who wouldn't leave me alone before payment won't return a single call now. Friday last week was meant to be the installation, nobody showed up, no call, nothing. This company does not give a care in the world. Once they have your money that's it.

$3,000 out of my account. No blinds. No communication. No accountability.

Highly recommend to stay far away from this company, absolute joke of a service. Sales guy who promised to help if anything went wrong is completely ignoring all texts and calls. 0 STARS.

Brilliant

Brilliant, no bullshit salesman. I knew what I wanted and had a budget in mind and Aaron didn’t stuff me around. Made a deal immediately, got exactly what I wanted and had enough left over for a carton of XXXX to celebrate! Brilliant blinds and could not be happier! Thanks team 🍺

The WORST experience I have EVER had

The WORST experience I have EVER had. DO NOT GET SUCKED IN BY THEIR FALSE ADVERTISING. Every single one of our blinds is leaking with light. Spent a small fortune for what they advertise as total blackout blinds. LIES. THEN They DO NOT respond to you when you reach out. Continuously ignored me until I took it further and STILL they are coming up with false accusations and trying to weasle their way out of it. I am not happy and will never recommend this company to anyone.

Would not recommend

Would not recommend. 4 months and still nothing. Contractors never showed up. Had to constantly chase. Had to chase a re installation date only to be told that they needed to remeasure. Poor communication despite telling me that would call me back every time. Now chasing a refund!

Avoid at all costs

I’ve spent over $5,000 on three blinds from Screenaway and every single one has had issues. Installations were delayed, contractors didn’t show up, and I’ve had them back three times to fix ongoing faults. The blinds are still failing, but now I’m expected to pay a premium hourly rate because it’s suddenly “out of warranty.”

The pricing is extraordinary, the service is abysmal, and the product keeps breaking. Avoid at all costs.

Would NEVER buy Screenaway blinds again

The guy that installers came round came in the house straight away said it was my fault with the remote that I pushed it too hard I said I didn't which we never did It was just one click each time we never held it down with any pressure He then talked in Indian to his to the other installer He was also Indian He talked back and forth in Indian for a bit and then he said it was the issue with the blinds was because we had the air conditioning on at night and the door shut I then said to him that we do not have the air conditioning on at night and the door is never shut because we have it because of the cat He then again spoken Indian to his to his to the other installer He they both came across as very rude very abrupt They actually wouldn't listen properly to what I was saying and they just coming up with excuses and kept blaming me for every single thing Now on top of that I asked them about the like these are blackout blinds at the very top and I showed them where and I showed them photos of it as well It is not joining properly so therefore there's a gap and that get lets in light and I said to them about this and I showed them exactly where they could see it too and all they came back was is it's a join there's nothing that can be done I then see to them but you've advertised them as blackout blinds They aren't blackout blinds or block out blinds they're still it light in He then just ignored me and carried on talking to Indian to his mate to the other installer and then I asked them is there what's going to happen with the screen fly screen that they cut when they installed it He turned around to me and he said There was no proof that this was done by them as there was no photos taken beforehand so therefore it's my problem they're not going to fix it This is disgusting I'm really appalled by their behaviour their dismissiveness and it was just arrogance they weren't helpful they weren't they were just blamed and everything was either my fault not their problem and they weren't going to attend to it I would not recommend screen blinds screen away to anyone We have had an issue with the other blind the manual pulldown blinds but the joins They aren't as bad so I haven't mentioned them but we have had nothing about issues with this main blind I would be quite happy if we could just not have light come in and actually get what we paid for. Also it is very hard to get hold of the company you have to go through Sydney which means you get calls at 6:00 in the morning and Perth time This makes it very difficult to try and sort anything out and you just get pushed around emails don't get answered and you just get a ton of excuses I would never ever have got these if I hadn't known the issues that are with these It would be nice if someone would contact me and actually sort this issue out It's not like they are cheap blinds I would have got better blinds and service if I had of just gone to spotlight. Still waiting for a reply from emails......

Sales department all over you like a…

Sales department all over you like a rash - then we move to the service department, and it's pathetic, no other word for it - pathetic, almost an attitude of contempt for the customer. Too much to go into - but 3 appointments made, 3 service call notices filled in, and each time the day of arriving - cancelled to another date!

Great product, very happy

Great product, nothing else on the market compares. Enjoying the Screenaway in the bedrooms to keep light so the kids don't wake up at the crack of dawn and the ViewTek really elevates our living areas keeping the bugs out but not disturbing the view. Also, the design consultant was so lovely. Very happy!

ScreenAway have installed the Indianna, Black out and Viewtec blinds in our home. From installation to the quality of the blinds we have had no regrets. The ScreenAway products have met all our expectations.

Blinds installed

I had asked for a free quote. The guy had told me that they would come with a remote and none of my blinds had come with a remote at all. The only reason I said yes to the price was because of the remote! They also have no string for me to put the blinds up! I have to stand there and roll the blinds up one by one every day. And half the time they just roll back down. So over priced for what they are! I would never go back to them. I have called, emailed and left messages and no body has worried to call me back! So unhappy.

Hard Sell Sales Pitch .... AVOID

Trying a hard sell when I constantly stated I just needed a quote to compare with others and would be available Monday to Friday 9-5 as I work from home. After stating this THREE times, and saying if they didn't understand I would hang up, the salesperson kept pushing for an evening or weekend as they wanted to use the 'soft partner' approach as we NEED to make a decision on the spot. I hung up in frustration. .... Hard Sell techniques don't work with me and I would advise others consider avoiding
