Excellent carpet repair

Having established that our carpet could be repaired, booking was quick and easy. Operative was on time and took care effecting the repair which is virtually invisible. We would definitely recommend them and would use them again.

Worse company uk

Horrible company to work for
Puts way to much work load on staff with not enough hours to complete
They have taken a cleaner on what cleans toilets to do a mangers role when she don't even no what an health and safety book is and cut all the girls hours on the night shift so she can make her own shift up to employ her daughter when the night shift is struggling
Also this new manager thinks it's OK to refuse someone holiday when it was explained her cousin had died (sick is an understatement)
Work for these at your own risk

Not always service master fault

The company is good to work for Never had any problems with pay
Supervisor was very good and helpful
I found it was the client who seemed to have a problem as I had been a cleaning manger and supervisor for 10 years and never had any icomplaints from clients

I worked for service master for one year but to me it was client who had the problem this time it was a case of if you face fits
The client said my work wasn't up to standard and wanted me to be removed from premises my job was advertised whilst I was still working there
I know there is always two sides to a story even up to this date after two months of getting finished i never had a answer why I was lied to about my job being advertised I was told oh I don't know why and what part of the building was supposed to have been not up to standard

Bad customer service, poor parking

Customer service never responded to an email regarding staff parking and driving concerns, it appears they contact when something will make them money and avoiding when they don’t want to hear about it.
I’d expect the company to be more company centric and more concerned about its brand awareness especially with staff directly representing the brand.

Disgrace of a company

Absolutely appalling company to work for. The holiday scheme is an absolute disgrace. Everything you want a holiday off it's like getting water out of a stone and you do get paid a lum sum of a salary leaving you to feel like you have no money after being on leave.
The management really don't want to do a thing they don't even like to show thier faces on site they can't even set a good example when they cover a cleaning job.
So unprofessional never consider them as a career choice.

Servicemaster Reigate is excellent

Servicemaster Reigate have done a wonderful job on our carpets and suite. Andrew has followed in his father’s footsteps (he cleaned our carpets and upholstery in the 1990s) and together with Darren carries out a very professional service from initial visit through to final finish. We would highly recommend them.

Terrible standard, cant even class it as cleaning!

Absolutely appauling level of cleaning performed by Servicemaster, this communal hallway was apparently fully cleaned a few hours by their team and it is filthy. Tried to speak to them on the phone to provide them with feedback and they said they couldnt discuss anything with me personally. Floor is filthy & mopped with the same dirty water that they cleaned 3 other blocks with, windows havent been cleaned, dirt and grime in every corner and area of the building.

Members of the cleaning team are rude and dismissive, dont want to acknowledge their own poor standards

We have a plethora of photos to show how abissmal this company is at communal cleaning, unbelievable to be honest. Even the managers that came out after previpus complaints shouted at the cleaning staff because ths building was filthy

If I could leave 0 stars I would. This complaint is only concerning the management not the two cleaners we had when we stopped using the company. We had three (well... two usually) cleaners trying to clean a large three storey building. The company rarely delivered cleaning products so the cleaners who did turn up often had to supply their own or wash tables down with water. They couldn't replace one cleaner for months so we didn't have enough people ensuring the building was clean and as a result there were a number of gastro-enteritis incidents that spread through the 200 people working there. They tried to draft people in from elsewhere but they were driving often more 50 miles to get to us to work for 2 1/2 hours and then driving 50 miles to get somewhere else. There were three of those, none of whom lasted more than a week. When I complained, I was told that the management had said I was being 'difficult' and that one manager was scared of me when I was only asking for a service that were paying for. At one point they had clocked up enough missing hours to have a full week of cleaning for free. I have it on reliable evidence that the final 'area manager' who came in to clean for a few days referred to me as 'that f%£king idiot' behind my back (for future reference to that person- make sure you know who you can trust before you mouth off about people who have worked together for years). She stayed long enough to try and divide and conquer her staff and create conflict between them and us, and then
disappeared after three days because she didn't like working early mornings. Apparently she came in during the evenings instead but there was no evidence of her working- bins were still unemptied, carpets unvacuumed and bits all over the floors in the corridors in her areas. Eventually she stopped coming altogether and asked our two reliable cleaners to take her hours so she wouldn't have to drive to us. If you like to experience poor management who think they are unaccountable for appalling service, verbal abuse, and gastro-enteritis use this company. If you'd like a good level of service from a company look elsewhere.

Horror & Dismay

Reigate, Dorking, Epsom & Sutton branch :
We rearranged the furniture in the room just before the carpet cleaner arrived, there were no stains on the carpet. When Andrew the cleaner had finished the job he made no comment and left . When we checked the job later we found 6 black stains (see photo ) in the middle of carpet with bleach marks all around them , the carpet was ruined. We called the carpet cleaner, to our horror and dismay he claimed that the stains were there when he arrived ! They were most positively , defiantly were not there, he made them. Andrew said he had done his best to remove the stains. In the past he had always drawn attention to any remaining issues, this time Andrew said nothing and left quickly.

The carpet is ruined. ServiceMaster Clean, deny all liability. The replacement carpet is circa £3000.00 . We are issuing a county court summons against ServiceMaster Clean. We consulted others, they said that the stains were most likely caused by a leaking soil tank or soil hose on the machine, they said that even if the stains were pre-existing, (which they were not) ServiceMaster Clean are liable because they bleached the carpet in their efforts to remove the stains. I arranged for a carpet clean of a specific area of my bedroom carpet (beautiful 100% cream wool). The operative took it upon himself to clean all the carpet and not just the area needing it and left it with weird stripes. I assumed they would hoover out but they didnt. I asked for a return visit and this time the carpet was scrubbed so hard the pile was ruined and it was left stained. They are now refusing to reimburse for my ruined carpet as they seem to think the radiator had had a major leak (2 of the valves are wet but there's no damage on the carpet so clearly haven't dripped onto the carpet - the major damage to the carpet is nowhere near the radiators).
I am left with a ruined carpet and being told the operative is insisting the radiators had leaked. I have photos to prove the damage but the person who cleaned the carpet is refusing to take responsibility for ruining it.
When he left after the second visit it was worse.
My beautiful carpet is ruined.
If you choose to use these people, take many before and after photos as they will do anything possible to avoid paying a claim if they ruin your carpet.
The area manager has been around and is accusing me of lying by telling me 'I've clearly had a leak'. He couldn't explain the damage near the bed, told me it was probably dirty before (it wasn't) - breaking news, if it was dirty then you should have got it clean. Arrogant man who clearly had no intention of agreeing they are culpable.

Still awaiting a satisfactory response. I was told to claim on my insurance which would have meant lying as I have not had a radiator leak. I have been offered 0 compensation so have paid to have my carpet ruined. The company have not followed their 6 step guarantee as they did not take before and after photos. Giving them free rein to damage carpets and then tell you 'it's your word against ours'.

Poor Service

I manage a carpet company and had asked Service Master for their help with cleaning a small area on a wool loop carpet. With no hesitation they booked it in. The customer was then told on the visit that the carpet could not be cleaned as it may shrink. I know a lot about carpet and even double checked with the manufacturer and it is 100% safe to clean the type of carpet in question. I then called many other local cleaning companies and they said it was an easy job and they could do it with no issues. I was never told before the cleaning that they wouldn't touch this type of carpet. I have only given 2 stars as we were not charged and told as soon as the visit was done. I would not recommend this company to any of my customers again.

Shocking experience

Do not use this company, they left stains on my sofa and made my sofa and rug look worse.
