Sessions College Avis 

This was my first online course and happily it was a very positive experience. I felt that i received personal attention from my teacher, Bill. His video feedback was thorough and helpful with a nice balance of positivity and critique.
The support from staff was also sufficient and helpful.
The only real downside to the online course experience was that the interactions among the the students was lackluster....not that meaningful or helpful other than we recognized what others were doing in class. In the end, I wish I had taken the course in person but since that was impossible, this was a good second option.
My perspective is that best-practices for online teaching were pretty much adhered to and I did walk away learning quite a bit.

I like the teaching style of these courses. Having all courses based on projects to use as a portfolio is fantastic. The instructors are helpful and supportive. I would definitely recommend this school for anyone learning design!

Very good teaching and instruction. The teachers were patient and took the time to critique in a helpful manner. Recommended to anyone serious about Graphic Design.

Loved working with this school. Teachers returned emails quickly and were very knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone interested in earning an art degree.

I went for a professional certificate with Sessions. I enjoyed taking the courses and learning about Illustrator, Photoshop, & InDesign. I now take regular freelance work on the side of my regular job while pursuing a full-time design job. The 2 things I liked most were making my own schedule and the helpful feedback from my teachers.

I would give my experience 4.5 stars but the main deterrent for me is the school’s policy on giving instructors 7+ days to respond to students’ questions. Several of my instructors were very proactive and timely and I usually heard back from them in 1-2 days but there were a few who didn’t respond in a very timely manner. In fact, one took almost 2 weeks to respond to a question. If we are expected to complete our program by a certain time frame, this type of delayed response sets the student’s schedule back quite considerably. The other issue is that some of us are doing these online courses in between our busy, daily lives. I can only speak for myself but I had a small window each week in which to work on my Sessions courses. When it took more than a week to get a response from my teacher, it created a huge delay and timing issue for me that caused a lot of inconvenience working around my business and family responsibilities. Aside from this significant issue, I enjoyed my courses and feel I learned valuable information.

Sessions College is built on hands on learning unlike other online colleges you are pushed to provide professionalism in your work and you learn a skill that will not be forgotten. You learn to not only enjoy the program you are in but to also keep searching for more and more to educate your mind as your love for your field of interest grows.

My experience thus far has been a great one! Everything has been very easy and the communication with the staff has always been pleasant. I am very happy that I made the choice of enrolling.

Sessions has been a good college so far! All the classes are very informative, yet easy to understand, and I've really been learning a lot! The teachers give good feedback on your work, but, the amount of help and support offered by the team of student advisors is awesome! Being online really helps if you have a busy life, but want to obtain a good education! I put 4 stars ony because I just started, and I've yet to see how the rest of the semesters will be! Overall tho, it's been great!

I love everything about this school! The staff is amazing. Always helpful and there when you need them. The classes are challenging but interesting. I have nothing but good things to say about Sessions.

I have been able to go back to school at an accommodating price while reaching my goal of getting my degree, all in the comforts of my own home!!

In short time I learned a lot. Teachers were always available for me to help.

Top school. Very creative learning material and exercises and also
challenging. One can expect to learn a lot but you don´t get it for
nothing, in other words have to work for it !

Amazing for anyone that needs to take things at their own pace.

I feel Sessions has their program wrong. They should teach the basics of camera usage first! They taught very little. Photoshop was more geared for graphic design than photography. Seems a number of students thought the same about photography and photoshop.
Then after this students should be able to branch out to other types or brands of photography they prefer rather than be stuck into one type. Such as portrait vs. landscape.
I think Sessions in a good college with nice people, but they need to take a good look at the way they are structuring their classes.

Sessions is awesome. I expect to take a few more courses. I wished they offered upper division course work. But very happy with what they offer.

Sessions was a fantastic way of focusing of what I wanted to do instead of where most colleges focus on a bunch of unnecessary content rather than getting to the point of your core studies. I became fascinated with a lot of work I created over time and because of this, I am excited to see where my future will take me.

I’ve really enjoyed my time at Sessions. The instructors know their stuff and I’ve gotten good feedback. I’ve learned so much in each class. And while a discussion group will always still be a discussion group, it’s always great seeing other students work and encouraging them and getting feedback on my pieces. I only wish I could do a bachelors degree there.

I'm disappointed in Sessions. Most of my instructors aren't much help and nearly all of my learning has been through Youtube research. An assignment is made and from there I'm almost always researching Youtube for answers for all my photography and Photoshop classes. I could do this without Sessions.
I have had a few instructors that are very knowledgeable and helpful but that is the exception.
