Sehr fragwürdiges Zahlungssystem, hier wird Fakeshops Haus und Tür geöffnet für großangelegte Betrügereien. Ich bin an einen Fakeshop geraden und habe über Shoppay bezahlt. Das Geld ist weg und diese „ Händler „ werden hier noch geschützt.

Horrible. They say my debit card is a pre paid card. ITS NOT. They refuse to fix it and have been ignoring my emails. They need to be shut down.

SHOPPAY is a SCAM. I received a purchase code through text message at 7:30 am one day. I have to be on top of my credit company to ensure another company isn't using my credit info through them. SO STRESSFUL. If I`m shopping at 7:30 am, I definitely have a problem, so it wasn't me. Then, I can't get a hold of anyone in the company...communication is for members only and like another customer said here, they steal all your info without asking. They also triple charged me one day and it was a nightmare to deal with via my credit card company. Aberrante that we have these problems in 2025...now every time I want to purchase something via Instagram, I can't do it cause it's 95% of the time always through ShopPay. You can not enter your own payment options or pay your way. Steer clear of ShopPay.

This company is complete trash. They will give your money to any company that claims to sell any product regardless of whether it physically ships a product and never give you a refund no matter how much you complain or fight it. Never buy anything from any company that uses them. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Shop Pay is intrusive. Once you use it once, it keeps popping up when checking out. I can select my own payment method, thank you. It also keeps your information without asking you.

HORRIBLE option for installment payments. I have excellent everything- money in all my account, high credit score, all bill paid on time..not that any of this should matters. Since Shop Pay came around and is linked into Affrim, I can NOT schedule installment payments on my orders. I have worked with AFFIRM for over 3.5 hours on 4 phone calls and they say it's a Shop Pay issue, but it's linked with AFFIRM so it's a vicious stupid circle. It's impossible to get, what should be a simple hiccup, adjusted. I just hate the "SHOP PAY" option. #afterpay

No delivery after 2 months of excuses. I can't now get an answer from the shop, but shop pay took my money but wont do anything.

I ordered a product and got a completely different product. They finally , after several e-mails replied to me. They wanted pictures. I send pictures including a picture of the original order. This went on and on. Finally they said they would give me a 5% discount on my next order (that’ll be a cold day in h—- when i order .anything else from them). AL I WANTED WAS THE PRODUCT I ORDERED!!! I HAVE NOW FILED A COMPLAINT THROUGH PAYPAL. I’m going to write 100 or more negative reviews. I WILL KEEP ON UNTIL I CAN’T write anymore. Sent from my iPhone o, you did not send what I ordered. It is clearly wrong per the original order which I sent to you a picture vs. the picture I sent you of what I received. I have kept a hard copy of all our correspondences and am going to fill up the internet with the pictures of your company’s lack of service.

Ever since I used my ccard on Shop Pay, it was used several times on unauthorized charges. Also when I stopped using my Debit Card, trying to pay my balance with my credit card was a pain because they only use a limited list of companies. Quite a hassle.

They do nothing to help you when the product never turns up. Perfect platform for scammers to set up a shop take your money and never send it

They charged me 10 times for a purchase and luckily my credit card company is awesome. At checkout it said my payment was unable to be verified by my bank but they charged me anyway. The tracking is always wrong and it is a horrible checkout experience. I also dislike how they force you to save all of your information. I wish companies would stop using them. I am going to start asking companies if there is another option to pay or I won't make the purchase.

These scammers work in tandem with the bogus payment scam companies be careful Scamming shoppay gets you to agree to cookies and basically you are giving them access to you device they’ll have your credit card details home address everything be careful

I bought online something and all my details were already stored in Shoppay (never ever bought anything via them).
Then, the next working day, somebody was debiting from my card money, I had to block my card.
They have no security measurements in place.

I am breaking up with Shoppay. They seem to not recognize me on certain purchases but I have no problem with others. Today I placed an order, it was denied. I was allowed to pay in full 🤦‍♀️

I thought it was because I had my credit locked so I unlocked, several hours later a no go. Interestingly I could use for Proven Winners.

I will cancel my account and stick with Klarna

The absolute WORST customer service ever! I lost access to an old email address and now can no longer, ever, use their payment plan since my new email address doesn’t match my old email address. I must’ve spent 15 or 20 minutes on the phone with who knows who trying to explain the situation and their only answer is Deactivate the account that’s associated with your old email address. Well to do that, you need an MFA code- THAT IS SENT TO THE OLD EMAIL ADDRESS! it would seem that this should be a simple process, change email address on an account. Nope! Absolutely horrible.

Absolutely a nightmare, stay away from
Shop pay. They have no phone customer support. The email support service is a joke. Called Affirm, they are a joke too. A representative at Affirm literally told me to not payoff my installment loan because they couldn’t find it. I have tried over 30 times to pay these off and I get a payment error and they can’t help me and they won’t take a payment by phone

Bought from a website that uses Shop Pay for the first time, all OK. A few weeks later wanted to buy from another web retailer that uses Shop Pay and before (I thought) that I'd completed the transaction a message flashed up confirming my order. I had wished to use a different payment card on this second occasion as this was a business purchase but was unable to do so. Be very wary of buying from any online retailer utilising Shop Pay.

Do not use. I placed an order through shop pay, the order was to be delivered on March 26th it is now April the 3 and the order has not even shipped. No response from the seller and shop pay says they have nothing to do with it and cannot help.

I made a purchase off a Shopify hosted website (Sheedex) and paid using Shop Pay, within 24hrs of my purchase the website is now no longer listed.

I cannot get a response from the store by email or phone and the Shop Pay (Shopify owned/operated) payment system that I used did not provide a payment acknowledgement and to chase the order I need a payment URL which isn’t visible unless you stay on the confirmation page at the time you make the purchase since you cannot get back to that page.

I suspect Shop Pay and Shopify are indirectly facilitating scam websites with no checks and measures to ensure the people who set up these sites are legit. How else could someone be able to set up a fake website and accept payments using Shop Pay and then disappear with peoples money the next day?

They also make it impossible to chase up the order issue through Shop Pay unless you have an order acknowledgment URL which isn’t visible on the screenshot I took at the time.

I have not yet found an alternative method of contacting Shop Pay.

My advise is to stay clear of ANY Shopify websites.

Luckily, I paid by credit card so I can claim my money back through them and I can leave Shop Pay the task of trying to track them down since they don’t provide the means for me to contact them.

ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING!

Based in the UK. Purchased from a US company using Shop Pay. US company has now vanished off the face of the earth, no reply to emails etc. Shop Pay’s attitude? Not our fault. We can’t control that sort of activity! What? Why on earth do they exist if not to ‘control that sort of activity’? 0/10 Definitely don’t rely on them for anything more than disappointment
