Absolutely appalling, avoid and do not use ..........
Ordered a skip on Thursday, sought to cancel over the weekend, but they do not open, cancelled on the Monday & got charged ridiculous amount for said cancellation, because I had not cancelled the day before & my skip was on route??? I contacted Saturday, (not open) sent 2 contact us requests via their website, and called at 5am, 6am and 7am to leave voicemails stating not required, please cancel, & yet get told my skip was on route to me. REMEMBER - THEY DO NOT OPEN WEEKENDS!! No company insurance cover to seek compensation, moreover they deflect on to the company that they contact to provide the service, which you do not have details for and no where to go to seek review and / or compromise, sound like a scam?
DON'T USE, THEY WILL TURN YOU OVER, SCAM ARTISTS!!

I don't know what the point of this 'service' is. skiphirecomparison.co.uk 'found' me a skip hire that was £100 more expensive than local suppliers and had terrible reviews (you don't find out until after you've paid). I cancelled within seconds, and they then charged me £15 for the experience!

I requested a pick up of the skip for 25th August. It is still at the address now. Have contacted the skip provider directly and the skip comparison company. Both blaming each other. Dreadful.

Drivers are miserable and the price of skip hire is a big rip off, it's only a few days midi skip 320 plus it's a big metal box full of rubbish and waste and crap,

Won’t ever use these sharks or Boden skips again, I live on a main road so I can’t leave my car anywhere but my driveway overnight. I was up at 7 on collection date and instead of knocking my door they just turned up mega early, took a picture of my car and drove off, they had my phone number and didn’t bother ringing me, Then charged me (a carer) £78 for wasted journey of 3 miles. Do yourselves a favour and read the reviews then shop elsewhere, I wished I did…

I think this company might be a scam.
No where did it state that their skips can’t take carpet, therefore I booked a skip that they said I couldn’t use. I asked to cancel the booking based on this, on the day I booked it, but I heard nothing back from them for a week with no sign of a refund. I finally received a incredibly rude email saying they're keeping the payment fee and would refund the rest, despite it being their fault. Avoid at all costs.

This company has £113 of my money which they are refusing to refund and I have had no service at all. No skip, no nothing.
I booked my skip online for some household waste for 14 days and paid the £50 for a permit (I googled the actual cost from the council and it is £45, so seemed reasonable). Once the company had taken my full booking (£313) they then emailed me to say that the permit was actually going to cost £90. I thought that was quite a price increase, but for the sake of convenience I agreed. Then the booking came back saying it was for 7 days, so I replied saying that I needed it for 14 days as originally requested (can't move any faster than that with work shifts) and then the company came back saying it would be an EXTRA £70 plus vat so that is £160 in total for a permit which actually costs £45. At this point I said I would like the full 14 day hire at the original price, or a full refund as that cost wasn't acceptable, but they came back and said the permit had already been applied for and they couldn't refund it. I'm now £113 down (dont ask me what this random figure is, but thats what they have of mine) THEY cancelled the job, not me. The most appalling customer service interaction I have had in a very very long time. Seriously avoid like the plague. Reported to Trading Standards

I WILL NEVER EVER USE Skip Hire Comparison again.
A 40-yard Roll on Roll Off skip cost me around £3700.
When you can get 4 off 10 yards skips, direct from suppliers at £250 each.
What do they do, they take a deposit from you, then at the end, without your consent charge as much as they want.
They do not collect the skips on time, 2 -3 weeks later, leaving the skips to full with rainwater, to be heavier and to charge you more, because you pay for the weight, and your driveway will be blocked all this time as well.
See the Trustpilot - everybody is complaining about their service and prices. And they act as an intermediary company, charging their huge interest when you can easily order your skip direct from suppliers.

Hired a skip and the local company Arun skips delivered to the billing address instead of the delivery address. Costing an additional £40 to correct their own mistake. Waste of time and money

Very disappointed with this company. I had hoped that by booking on line it would be hassle free but alas the opposite. I booked a skip online on a Tuesday for the Friday of the same week, all available no problems and received confirmation. On the Thursday, day before delivery, received a telephone call saying the skip was no longer available but I could have another one the next Tuesday at £3 more. So those weekend plans went out the window. I did agree to the Tuesday ( no other choice really) and the company agreed to waive the £3, how generous. Tuesday arrived, skip arrived fine.
I had arranged for collection the following week on the Tuesday. The representative did say that if I finished early with the skip they may be able to get it collected early. I emailed on the Sunday night to say it was ready for collection, and that it was ok if it waited until the Tuesday. No response. Tuesday came and no collection of the skip so I e-mailed in the evening for an update, no response. I then contacted the skip company directly on Wednesday to ask them when they were too collect. They claimed no knowledge of a date for collection but maybe able to pick it up on two days time. I asked for more consideration having had to turn away a lorry load of ballast delivery on the Wednesday as there is a skip in the way! (£25 charge).They have agreed to collect on the Thursday which I believe they will. As regards, skiphirecomparison.com, very good at taking your money but on reflection, and after poor communications, failed to deliver on time, failed to collect on time, it is far easier to contact a local skip company your self and seems a lot less hassle. Apart form being able to book on line which proved to be pointless as both delivery and collection dates missed, not other real value add this company brings. I will not recommend this company nor use their service and first review of this nature I have written.
