I am extremely disappointed with my experience booking through Skywings.

The booking was presented in a way that strongly appeared to be a connected itinerary, however it later became clear that the flights were actually separate self-transfer bookings and that I was fully responsible for baggage collection, re-check-in and transfer risks. This was never clearly explained during the booking process.

My family and I contacted customer service several times before travelling to confirm important information. Unfortunately, we received inconsistent and conflicting answers on different occasions.

For example:
- We were told by email that cabin baggage allowance was 7–10kg, but at the airport we were informed it was only 5kg.
- We were also informed that baggage would be transferred through to the final destination, which turned out to be incorrect.

Because of the unclear communication and concern regarding delays, I felt forced to purchase an earlier flight and book a hotel in Shanghai to reduce the risk of missing my onward flight.

After arriving early in Shanghai, I was then informed that my onward flight had been cancelled.

The entire experience caused unnecessary stress, confusion, inconvenience and additional financial loss.

I understand that some airline issues may be outside the company’s control, however clear and accurate communication from the start could have avoided much of this situation.

I hope Skywings will review this matter seriously and improve the clarity of information provided to future customers.

Skywings is taking advantage of customers when they have no option but to make changes to their existing booking.

I had booked a return ticket from London to Bangkok and wanted to change my return date from 12th August to 17th August. Patrick from Skywings informed me that I would need to pay £456 for the change, claiming that the fare difference was very high.

However, I separately spoke with the airline directly, and they clearly advised that

* the airline change penalty was only €120
* the same booking class was still available on 17th August, meaning there should not have been any fare difference at all.

To double check, I even searched for a completely new one way ticket for 17th August and it was available for around £412. This itself proves that Skywings explanation makes no sense. If a brand new ticket costs £412, how can the “fare difference” alone for changing an existing booking be £456?

I completely understand reasonable administration charges of around £10–20, but charging such excessive amounts under the name of admin fees is unacceptable. It feels like they are simply taking advantage of customers in difficult situations.

Mr Ali Waris was very kind, patient, and extremely helpful throughout the whole process. After assisting with my partner’s booking, he was also kind enough to help me book my ticket as well. He patiently guided us through everything and made the process smooth and stress-free. What I appreciated the most was that when the call got disconnected, he immediately called us back to make sure everything was completed properly. Even after the payment had already gone through, he still took the time to confirm that the tickets had been successfully sent to us. Excellent customer service and truly appreciated.

Stay away from this company. They owe me money and despite chasing for nearly six months, I still haven’t received my refund. I’ve escalated the issue multiple times and am now taking legal advice to recover the funds and pursue further damages.

Communication has been constant back and forth with no resolution. Based on my experience, I would not trust this company

Very terrible experience; we booked a family holiday to Dubi but due to war flight got cancelled. I did pay extra money for insurance and extra to buy flexibility but still haven’t received my refund after 5 weeks! They did say they deduct £500-£600 even if they decide to refund me!
