Excellent Customer Service
Mr Ali Waris was very kind, patient, and extremely helpful throughout the whole process. After assisting with my partner’s booking, he was also kind enough to help me book my ticket as well. He patiently guided us through everything and made the process smooth and stress-free. What I appreciated the most was that when the call got disconnected, he immediately called us back to make sure everything was completed properly. Even after the payment had already gone through, he still took the time to confirm that the tickets had been successfully sent to us. Excellent customer service and truly appreciated.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the excellent assistance provided by Mr Ali Waris during my ticket booking process. I was having difficulty entering my full name because it exceeded the character limit in the system, and I was honestly struggling to complete the booking on my own.
Mr Ali was extremely patient, kind, and professional throughout the entire process. He manually helped me with the booking, guided me through the confirmation and payment steps, and made sure everything was completed correctly without any stress on my side.
What I appreciated even more was that he also kindly assisted with my partner’s ticket booking as well. His willingness to help, attention to detail, and friendly attitude truly made a difficult situation much easier for us.

Do Not Trust – Ongoing Refund Issue Unresolved
Stay away from this company. They owe me money and despite chasing for nearly six months, I still haven’t received my refund. I’ve escalated the issue multiple times and am now taking legal advice to recover the funds and pursue further damages.
Communication has been constant back and forth with no resolution. Based on my experience, I would not trust this company

Very terrible experience
Very terrible experience; we booked a family holiday to Dubi but due to war flight got cancelled. I did pay extra money for insurance and extra to buy flexibility but still haven’t received my refund after 5 weeks! They did say they deduct £500-£600 even if they decide to refund me!

Please note that, as an agent, we are dependent on the airline to process refunds. Due to the unprecedented volume of refund requests, processing times have been longer than usual, taking approximately 4–5 weeks.
Regarding the additional payment for extra services, these are subject to the supplier’s terms and conditions agreed to at the time of purchase. As these payments are made directly to third-party suppliers, they are unfortunately non-refundable.

Avoid! Zero Accountability and Misleading Information
I had an extremely frustrating experience dealing with Skywings when my flights to Sydney were cancelled due to airspace disruption. For 7 weeks I was passed between multiple agents who gave conflicting information, made promises that were not kept, and in some cases were simply untruthful.
My emails were consistently ignored, leaving me to chase updates repeatedly by phone with no clear answers. I was told my refund would be in my bank account within 48 hours on 4 different occasions, all of which were lies. It was only once I threatened legal action through my bank that my refund was received; 7 weeks after initially requesting a refund, and 3 weeks after Skywings received my money from the airline.
I would strongly advise others to avoid Skywings, especially in the current climate and potential future cancellations. Resolving even straightforward issues appears to be a challenge for this company and they do not hesitate to make false promises.

I can’t believe it
This review is written with the knowledge I have & how I experienced the events , there’s a possibility I’ve got some things slightly different, however We’ve just been informed that despite paying £10500 per return flights x3 via emerates premium economy , & it was for 3 adults & one being a 90 year old lady , that we shall only receive £3400 refund for the return flight that they cancelled
We accepted a refund not knowing ant information on the return leg fare calculations , we were now stranded in Melbourne, if we rebook we were told they most likely would cancel again , we were stuck there for an extra 5 days but only because we booked flights back ourselves , offered flights by sky wings at £8000 for 3 return flights via honk Kong & Beijing in economy , eventually we booked our own flights for £3700 for the 3 return flights
We’ve ended up getting £3400 back , how can there be a £4200 difference between flight costs ??, as we came back exactly the same route , once back were pestered to accept & sign a document to get the refund back , we’ve had no help via holiday insurance or sky wings since the flight got cancelled & I cannot believe the situation we find ourselves in , we trusted sky wings & emerates at least to sort us out getting home , but we had to do it ourselves & then to get told we’re only getting £3400 refund is unbelievable, government taxes were told on the outbound flight , but despite asking we’ve not been given a breakdown on costs to prove the amount refunded (as of writing we’ve not received a penny & we’ve been back 6 weeks)
I know it was due to the Middle East situation, but as every traveller has to have insurance to fly , why doesn’t there seem to be only 1 loser in our situation & that’s us , our 90 year old mother travelling with us was in such a state & our decisions were mostly made with her comfort being high in our minds & her travelling experience coming home was not the best as we had 3 flight of 9hrs, 3 hrs & 11hrs in economy seats on Hong Kong & hainan airlines & to top it off they lost our bags & I had to pay £50 to get them home.
We’ve lost out in every step since the flight was cancelled 😡😡😡😡

After investigating your concerns, I can confirm the following:
As per standard airline refund policies, when the outbound sector of a journey has already been used and the inbound sector remains unused due to an airline cancellation, most carriers recalculate the fare based on the used portion rather than applying a simple 50:50 split. Therefore, although we completely understand your disappointment as a passenger, this is unfortunately the standard global airline industry practice.
Additionally, UK departure taxes generally form a higher proportion of the total ticket value. As these taxes are mostly applied to the outbound journey, the refundable taxes on the unused return sector are often significantly lower. This is the main reason why the refunded amount was less than half of the original ticket price.
Please rest assured that Skywings has not applied any administrative charges to this refund calculation.
Regarding the additional cost of purchasing a new return ticket, as you may be aware, the temporary travel restrictions affecting several Middle Eastern carriers caused a sharp increase in demand across other airlines. Due to the limited availability during this period, airfares increased substantially, and the fare difference quoted by our team reflected the live system pricing at that time.
Finally, I understand you were expecting to travel with another carrier and experienced further difficulties. However, as that booking was not purchased through us, I am unfortunately unable to comment on the circumstances surrounding that journey.
Once again, I sincerely apologise for the experience you faced. The situation was beyond our control, but we genuinely tried every possible option to assist our customers during this extremely challenging period.
