I'm currently in pangasinan. Slow, interrupted and sometimes no signal at all. No notification or what so ever. I'm planning to switch to globe. It's almost 2 yrs and they never get better

Worst sim in the philippines

Worst sim in the philippines. Not only they scam you for your money the signal is bad. They had a unli data promo and they removed it today and made me registed on a unli 5g data that isnt even available on my sim which can only run LTE not only that didn't we register the sim with our information?? So they know where exactly we are right? So why would you let us register on a 5g unli data when 5g network isnt available in our location. I had the worse experience in smart with my internet randomly being cutted off / reseted signal connection. Being kicked out of my games due to unstable connection. Me and my parents been using smart but now im thinking of switching to globe due to this pathetic idea of them removing unli data promo then give us a "5g unli promo" that we cant use

Feel like overloaded network

I have used SMART on phone and using Smartbro.

The internet works great when you do not need it, but you get packet loss and disconnections when you actually need it.

It is as if their network is overloaded when you actually need the service.

Someone stole my load

Someone stole my load. I not transferred or used my load. But Sunday it was disappeared. My request and my complain at the hotline of smart was not being solved and the amount was not refund even they said it was transferred without my acception (through giga life). So even they know that someone has stolen my load they not help or do anything to avoid such like that. so i think they know that already longer time and not do anything to avoid that for other customers

Smart vs. DITO Telecommunity

Smart is a Philippine telecommunication since 35 years, but slow internet connection permanently and snail speed. The result is probably rumor scam and trash tier also is D-Tier.

DITO Telecommunity is a not a scam and super fastest internet since previous year. The huge opportunity is a good and reliable. DITO Telecommunity is a god-tier from Tiermaker also S-Tier.

SCAM!

Their customer service was lack of training! Unbelievable ! I was mis informed about the Data Package Booster. I clearly said that it was not my fault! CSR Agent was mis informed me. I made follow calls for my concern but, when I called earlier they send to me that they cannot file a dispute because it has been 21 Days passed! for god sake I made a follow up calls already regarding my case and they just said they will escalate but, no follow up calls! Not gonna recommend!

they accepting money from big companies what make people use for free trash services like Facebook, WhatsApp even with expired mobile data, this is not following simple rules of internet be neutral, it's should be regulated and not allowed, wake up!!!

Scam?

I started receiving emails from signature smart saying I had registered for a service. The email was addressed to a different person and is obviously fraudulent. I have never used their service - I live in England, never been to Philippines - the whole thing is weird. Anyway I have been trying to get in touch with someone from the company to remove my email from their database and sort this fraud issue and no-one is coming back to my emails. Their help ticket pages says they're under construction. :-( I am hoping they see this review here and help me!

Crappy service

Last January 2019, I applied for a pocket wifi plan 799 and on May 5, 2020 I have requested to unsubscribe my account from the plan as my contract has already ended. They told me ALL SMART store were closed so I can only manage it through their accounts management team. On June 2020 they have requested me to pay the balance which I did. Then suddenly came a notification of my bill for July 2020 with an "installment fee". I wanted to close my account, not pay for another damn service. They told me I have to go to a physical smart store, like I could easily do it with the pandemic situation. At the end of the conversation, they just told me to PM them on twitter for any concerns. They never even had time to tell me if this has been resolved or not.

Untrustworthy

If you have a monthly plan with Smart Com. if I were you Watch your DATA USAGE & your BILLS like a HAWK. Coz one day your bill will skyrocket (doubles or triples... Etc.) And on top of this, Smart Com. was suppose to notify me when I have reached my data usage limit and instead I got a surprise big hefty bill that they can't support! What's wrong with Smart? Business not doing so well?! This is from a very, very long time Smart customer that JUST GOT BURNED! Buhbye Smart Con!

If ever your visiting the Philippines…

If ever your visiting the Philippines from outside of Asia. Save yourself the headache and get a globe simcard instead. Smart service it just trash the customer service are like a broken record, they will just read the same script over and over.

I purchased a data plan however I was only able to use it for one day, after contacting customer service, first they blame my phone them told me I need to update my software. Then it was because I was using a Google pixel 4 that's not sold in the Philippines. The company is a joke, if ever u have a issue with a Philippines based company. Then your going to be left hanging customer service here is awfully bad.

SurfMax50 datapackage scam

Smart is a scam company.
I ordered a SurfMax50 data package.
On their website it says "1GB" for one day.
I only wanted to use it as backup since the same SMART company HOME BRO was down for some hours.
I got a confirmation sms from smart, saying I had subscribed to SurfMax50 and I would get a sms when i had 10 pct left. as in when I had 80 mb left.(the 1GB had shrinked to 800 mb in the confirmation sms).
So I surfed a bit on facebook, surfed a bit on some websites for some items i wanted to purchase on the internet.
No youtube, no music, no nothing other than above.
Now since HOME BRO was still unstable during the evening, I wanted to do some other stuff on the internet. Stuff that is data consuming, as in 500 MB per day, if I use it all day long.
After approximately 10 min of use I got an sms saying my AlwaysOn data package had 3 mb left ?? (not SurfMax !)
Not a sms saying that I had 80 mb left, which would still be incredible, since i had hardly used it.
In general the experience I have with Smart in the Philippines (yearly visits the past 6 years) is that they deduct balance even if you do not call or use your phone, and now also this. I have been used to that they cut before the package has been used but this time they have topped the list of poor customer experience with Smart.
They are in general very very unreliable.
I did ofcourse call the customer service, who insisted I had spend my 800 MB.
I was offered a compensation (strange if I had used my datapackage.).
I refused. I will give my 450 php load to someone else and find another mobile company.
