Really great experience (despite 115 snags being found!) - definitely wouldn’t have spotted these myself!

I am very much satisfied with their service.They have gone through the nook and corner of the house and found the snags efficiently. It was worth every penny I spent on snagging.

I have used snag my new home 3 times in total, once on my residential property and twice on my buy to let investment properties. The guys are amazing and will be very thorough when conducting their reports.

You won’t be disappointed and I would strongly recommend this for anybody who is purchasing a new build property unfortunately quality does not seem to be on the agenda any more when building a new home, but Snag My Home will make sure that any issues are highlighted with your purchase.

Lack of service - After booking online through their website, using the correct region that they advertised (East/West Midland and Wales area) covered, I was told that I booked the incorrect region and they don't cover East/West Midland and Wales area on Sunday 16th June but they cover the area on the next day on 17th June. After rescheduling to the Monday 17th June, they cancelled the booking the day before and stated that their surveyor in the area has now quit the job because of personal issues. However, they are still advertising that they cover the East/West Midlands and Wales area on their website. It's been 10 days now and they have not refunded the cost I paid in full and have decided to keep the £100 deposit. I would not recommend booking with them.

Edit: Following my review which the company unsuccessfully flagged to be removed, I was sent a barrage of abuse and insults dated 26th June 2024 from their WhatApp number in response to the review. They clearly don't take negative feedback very well as a company which highlights their level of professionalism. I will provide the screenshot evidence to Trustpilot. My review still stands, please avoid this company at all cost!!

I have a good eye for detail and thought I could sufficiently snag our new house myself, but there were things I guarantee I would have missed. Thoroughly impressed with the service and worth investing in this inspection and company.

First time I’ve used a company like this. Process easy to follow with online booking and payment. Needed to contact them by telephone to send a new link for payment. They answered promptly and actioned immediately. 67 snags found, lots of them I would have overlooked. Hopefully the report will make it easy for the developer to accept the snags and correct.

The surveyor found 69 snags in our new build home, many of which we would never have spotted ourselves. I was so impressed with the report. Not only was it sent in a timely manner (before 10pm the following day!) it was so detailed and comprehensive, with pictures of each snag as well as a description. This made sharing this with our developer really easy and they have as a result made good progress with addressing the snags.

Communication with this company was excellent right from the first point of contact. Everything went as booked, surveyor informed me of his arrival and carried out the inspection as expected. The report followed promptly and was in a clear format making it very easy to understand. The site manager commented on the clarity of the findings and it certainly made it easier to highlight snags to the builder. Would recommend to anyone buying a new build where clarity is key.

Very pleased with SMNH. I booked the snagging to be done 2 weeks before completion of a new build. I had to move the date and the process to rearrange was simple. We were fortunate to have a property built to a good standard so didn't have many major snags. Communication (when required) was faultless. Lina was very helpful throughout the process and answered our queries after the snagging. I would recommend.

Awful company, avoid at all costs!!

Company lists all the checks that it will conduct however gives themselves a caveat that on the day due to human error things will be missed and you will have no recourse for challenge.

We have identified a few serious problems that should have been checked in the inspection that weren’t, when raising a complaint to the company they were both rude and threatening.

If you want someone to come out spot paint blemishes then come here, if you want any kind of serious inspection then avoid at all cost.

Edit: To provide context to the vendors reply, snags identified were almost exclusively paint touch ups. What wasn’t identified that was promised on the website were:

Kitchen cupboards and countertops defective and scratches
Flooring marked
En-suite bathroom incorrectly plumbed resulting in the toilet not working, the sick and bathtub not draining
Roof tiles not correctly fitted
Roof missing filler
Garage doors not fitted correctly
Garage doors dented and damaged
Garage roof not sealed correctly

Furthermore I’d counsel prospective customers to check other review websites for further information.

Excellent service! We booked this company to snag our new build home a week before we are due to move in and the report exceeded our expectations. Easy booking system and well worth the money, highly recommend!
