Ski training Austria
Snowminds is an organization where mainly young people are trained as ski instructors or participate in technical training. Given everyone's enthusiasm, Snowminds really organizes this in a good way. I am 56 years old and I had signed up for a technical training. My expectation was initially to improve my technique and secondarily I hoped to meet like-minded people. As far as the technique training is concerned, it was certainly a success (maybe I expected a little more focus on personal training, in fact 30% and not on skiing, in fact 70%), partly because my group only consisted of 4 people and we had a really active trainer. With regard to the social part, I was also lucky that there was another couple my age. If they hadn't been there, I don't know if I would have had such a positive experience. The age difference with the young people is very large! I don't think I'll participate again considering it's really aimed at young people

Dear Peter,
Thanks for your positive review. I am so happy to hear that you enjoyed your ski camp experience with us in Dorfgastein, Austria!
As you might have experienced the camp concept is relatively new to us and something we have created to share our passion for skiing or snowboarding and help people of all ages develop their skills on or off the slopes. You are correct that the majority of our participants in our ski instructor courses are in the gap year age, where as we hope that the ski camps will attract a wider range of people of all ages.
We go by the mantra that it is never to late to learn, and we are so grateful that you trusted in us and choose this experience. Hopefully, for future seasons, we can expand the programs and have even more people in your age category. Obviously, we would love to welcome you back and you are always welcome to check in with us to get a feel for the age spread on certain programs.
I wish you a fantastic winter and hope to see you in the snow in the future.
All the best,

Great value 1 week performance camp
Great value 1 week performance camp. Nice hotel in a great location, good team leaders with everything you need included for a weeks instruction at competitive price.
The course was delivered in English and the community had a good friendly vibe with lots of encouragement to mix and make new friends.
Our trainer Chris was an excellent skier and a great guide, I dropped 1 star, as I feel we were just left to him with no brief snowminds about what we are meant to do or get out of our 5 days.
He did help us improve but I think the week could have benefitted from some objectives and a breakdown of focuses for each day as it did feel very ad-libbed.
I would recommend Snowminds camps to anyone looking to improve, rather than self booking group or private lessons, you can meet and stay with your group making for an enjoyable laughter filled week. Don’t hesitate, book it, you will enjoy it.

Hi Danny,
Thanks for your kind words and recommendation. It was a pleasure to meet you briefly in Dorfgastein and I hope you enjoyed the day skiing after the lift ticket upgrade :)
I am happy for your feedback on the trainer. We work with professionals that we trust to deliver great experiences and development. All trainers have different styles, so we instruct our team leaders to leave the training introduction to the trainers and adjust the training and schedule to the level of the group. I am sorry that this made you feel "dropped" by the trainer and we will take that feedback into account and share the feedback with Chris on the objectives.
I wish you a fantastic rest of the winter and I hope to see you (and maybe your partner too!) back with us for another experience in the snow in the future.
All the best,

Hej Alberte,

🥳🥳☀️☀️
I am now in Sierra Nevada, in Spain with snowminds for the season to be a ski instructor. We have all passed our exam yesterday, which shows how accessible it is for everyone and that everyone can pass 🥳 It is amazing here and I would really recommend this destination if you want to enjoy tapas and sun every single day! Lucas is the best team leader, while being very professional at the same time. He’s always there to help, has managed some challenging situations very well and only spreads good vibes 😎😎☀️☀️

Sæson i Canada

Well organized
Booked with snowminds for a season in Japan 23/24. First did the course in Kaprun, where everything was perfectly organized. We had an amazing hotel with pool and sauna. The teamleaders are amazing and always ready to help you, especially Floris, Joost and Pär! But all the other teamleaders are amazing aswell. When we arrived in Japan they also organized a bus to our accomodation, which was super nice. Overall great experience and would defenitly recommed Snowminds for your first season! :)
