The salesman and then the surveyor took time to answer all our questions and demonstrate a sample product. Price for replacing all windows was very competitive and product looked high quality for UPVC. The lead fitter was very experienced and explained the process they used in comparison with the poor fitting of the old windows. Despite poor weather they completed very efficiently in two days leaving the house very tidy inside. Reasons for less than 5 stars (i) i had to clean drive of plastic cuttings and removing some materials from under windows (ii) outside windows were only partially clean on completion, but i note weather was dire (iii) all new windows have to have air vents. This is not just solar frame, but i am disappointed that the attempt to keep the heat inside the house is compromised by these vents. Job 11573

We had a solid roof installed on our conservatory by SolarFrame in July 2025, complete with two large glass roof panels, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. The installation team—Andy and Carl—were absolutely fantastic. They kept us informed throughout the whole process, were friendly, professional, and clearly took real pride in their work.

The quality of the finish is excellent, and the difference the new roof has made is incredible. Our conservatory has been lovely and warm this winter, and the noise from the rain has gone from sounding like rocks hitting the old roof to a gentle patter. It’s completely transformed how we use the space.

The schedule was maintained throughout so we knew exactly what work to expect and when. All work men were courteous. All work was completed to a great standard with minimal upheaval. We were especially happy with the brick work and attention to detail.

After initially feeling bit distrustful, I didn't need to feel worried. Solar frame turned up on time and all the work was finished to a high standard. All the workers were friendly and professional. Solar frame customer service was excellent. It's now 6 months since I had a roof added to my existing conservatory and I am more than pleased. It looks so good and I can now sit in my conservatory during the hot weather. No leaks or problems during unpleasant weather. For peace of mind I would recommend solarframe.

We approached and reviewed a number of companies before we chose Solar frame and in the end it was a very easy choice to make. We visited the showroom in Leeds and were so pleased we did. All the staff were friendly , knowledgeable and answered all our queries in a very professional manner. We were impressed enough to arrange for the salesman, Richard, to visit to give a quote. We accepted the quote and Stuart, the surveyor, called the following wek to check the current installation. Stuart identified there could be some issues due to how the original windows had ben fitted but once aware of them he was happy to proceed and I was pleased to say he didnt take a sharp intake of breath and say this may change the price. The actual installation was completed promptly and tidily by the two installers who were a pleasure to have around. Cant fault anything whatsoever.

Excellent service from start to finish. Our fitters Ryan & Connor were exceptional, working in extreme rainy weather and never stopped. The plastering was flawless too. Altogether a fabulous and professional job. We would highly recommend solar frame to anyone.

Solar frame provided a brilliant experience from start to finish!
We used them to replace out existing kitchen/garden door. The cost, process and options available were all very clear. The finished door is brilliant and so much better than what we had previously. I would definitely recommend using them.

had a back door fitted surverer came out to measure up very nice man within 4 weeks made and job done i know they was a quiet time after xmas payment was easy to do as well

Even though we had some issues with the installation I would still recommend solar frame. The first issue was taking my conservatory roof off when rain was on and off. The second issue was when the structure was up before the cieling was fitted i could feel a slight draft around the inner edge of the roof. I asked them to fill the gap with expanding foam. The third issue was the plastering. They removed the existing doors into the house but only plastered the gap which was visible. I would have preferred a piece of plaster board put all around the archway so it was a better finish. The conservatory floor was 2" higher than the main house floor so I had to make this good myself as they were unsure what to do with it. I would still highly recommend solar frame as the roof conversion looks really good and with all the bad weather we've had the roof is totally water tight. The plastering normally cracks sometimes as it dries out but it hasn't.

I wanted windows that opened fully and SolarFrame did not disappoint. They were very accommodating and reliable. They did a lovely job. It is the second time I have used them and I would not hesitate using them again.

Highly recommended! Absolute professionalism at all times. From the first visit to the showroom to the day of the final sign-off, I've been very impressed with how SolarFrame/Yorkshire Garden Studios run things. Tom's initial visit and quote made us very confident the studio would perfectly meet our needs and he worked hard to make it suitable for our budget.

The builders and technicians were all fantastic. Friendly, punctual, respectful of the property and thoughtful enough to check and adjust details where possible to ensure the studio suited our needs. Everyone involved in the installation was great. Andy and Carl in particular went above and beyond!

We were kept fully informed at every stage and it was very reassuring to get regular calls from head office to check we were happy with the progress and answer any questions.

The quality of the workmanship is clear in the outcome: a sturdy, eye-catching, insulated garden studio, perfect as an outdoor office all year round. Couldn't ask for more!

From the outset, my experience was disappointing. The initial contact to book a quote visit was extremely poor. The sales representative seemed to be in a hurry and did not take the time to address my needs or discuss my project in detail. I was informed that a quote would only be provided if all homeowners were present, which I found quite unreasonable.

On the day of the quote visit, one of the homeowners was unavailable, and as a result, the sales representative insisted that no quote would be provided. This lack of flexibility and consideration for the customer is concerning. All I required was some basic costing to determine if the project was worth progressing, yet it seems there was no effort made to accommodate this request.

Given these experiences, I am left with the impression that there may be significant issues in dealing with your organization moving forward. I hope you take this feedback constructively to improve your customer service and processes.
