I had a nice experience with the team. They are very caring and informative. I asked a lot of questions via email and they replied to me just within minutes. The installation was quick and the team was on time and professional. Highly recommended.

Good before sales service and price, and actually had what I wanted (Powerwall2 + solar). The electricians were great, but the panel installers broke way too many tiles, just lucky I got some free ones from Gumtree. However the guy in charge of the install arranged for my roof capping to be fixed, so another plus. After sales service to my enquiries was very poor. But everything is working nicely.

They all did a great job very neat and tidy had other friends who do solar look at it said it’s a great job.
They use quality products and install them well they also seem to monitor the system as well as we were having a problem we didn’t even know about and they came and fixed it .
I don’t usually write reviews but these guys did a great job and that’s becoming rare and rarer these days

I chose Solargain for their service and reliability.

Pros:
- They were very patient with me in the initial enquiry phase. They provided me with different system configurations to consider, allowing me to change even after the initial system design confirmation. Altogether we explored over 5 different setups over a few weeks, and finally settled on one that we were really pleased with. There was no deposits required, which was great.

- Price. Their pricing is very competitive for the quality systems they provide. I paid $6800 for a 10.7k system with a Fronius inverter, and they were willing to throw in a Fronius smart meter for free. That was very good.

- Design. I had a few designs by other companies that I was not really impressed with. Solargain's designs were very neat and well thought out. I think that was one of the main reasons I decided to explore further with them after receiving the initially quote and design.

- The sales person was polite, courteous, and not pushy at all for me to make a decision. He was very happy for me to take my time to consider. I was the one who chased him a bit with questions and clarifications.

- Installation timeframe. The initial installation timeframe was 5 months, due to the backlog caused by COVID. Honestly I wasn't happy with this. But eventually the team brought it forward such that the whole system was installed, up and running within 8 weeks of me first contacting them. That was very good in COVID times.

- Service and Reliability. They have a reputation for service and reliability. They are willing even to service Solar systems installed by other companies! This was one of the biggest reasons that drew me to them.

Based on all of these, I would really want to give it 5 stars, if not 6 stars. It was so good.

Cons:
- Installers were subcontractors (Solar 360). My evap cooler power was knocked out accidentally during the solar installation, meaning we didn't have the evap cooler during some of the hottest days in summer. The fact that there was another sudden lockdown in Melbourne meant it took a while for this to get fixed.

- It took over 2 weeks to get the monitoring setup and running, and that is after much followup with them.

- My inverter burnt out, and it took about a month before it was replaced. It took 2 weeks of multiple calls before they decided to send someone down to have a look. A bit of a shame that a Fronius would burn out within a month of installation!

Though it all, the customer service was polite and professional, in line with the reputation of Solargain being service orientated. The time it took to address issues however, were much longer than I liked. I had to call them over multiple days to push things along. And there was the additional wait time as they have to contact the installers to resolve the issues, whereas had they been the ones doing the installations, some of the processes would have been much quicker.

As a result of these issues, I can't give it a 5 Star rating, even though I really liked them in the initial phase. Now that the system is up and running without issues and I am feeling less frustrated, I am willing to give it 4.5 stars if there was such an option.

I suppose in a real world where things can and do go wrong, if you are not as impatient as me and are willing to accept imperfections, Solargain is very good value. There is the assurance that even if anything do go wrong, they will fix it up as they did for my case.

Solargain has provided us solar systems with super high quality due to their high quality materials and super professional installation. We will recommend them to our friends and come back later if we need it again.

Quick and efficient, quick installation, and easy to deal with.

Poor follow up after excellent installation, but no response when I advised water was lukewarm, 42 C actually. I can't wash dishes properly.
