Hi Greg
Thanks for the feedback, we appreciate you taking the time to share it. Sorry to hear the experience didn’t meet expectations. Our goal is to connect people with reputable installers who provide competitive quotes, not pressure. I'd like to follow up on this, could you please forward me the quotes you received from our installers so I can check the pricing is in line with our expectations. Would you also be able to let me know what you experienced with the suppliers who were pushy? We don't want to recommend something like that, i'll ensure their customer service improves. If it doesn't, we would likely reconsider recommending the particular installer. My e-mail is ned@solarquotes.com.au
I'll also give you a call after this long weekend to check in.
Thanks very much again for the feedback as it helps us improve,
Ned.

Excellent help, over and above, much appreciated
We have asked SolarQuotes several times to find out quotes and installers, and then a lot of questions, and their responses were always fast, reliable and very useful. I appreciate this organisation a lot. I also enjoy their regular communications/newsletters/website and I have gleaned a lot of information from there over the years. Thank you!

Contract with Vk electricals not delivered 1000$ deposit paid
I signed up a contract with Vk electrical for installation of solar storage battery on 16th oct/2025. Paid 1000 dollars deposit for quick 3-6 week installation, I was told why this deposit is so large. Since Beginning of Dec/2025 which was a failure of delivering as agreed they just keep promising that installation is coming but in reality it was just empty words. I contacted them at lease 20 times emails and calls but nothing is happening and they refused to refund my money. Also I was told they don't install but somebody else will do it. I never signed up for anybody else. They gave me Sunpower solutions contact to continue this. Of course I talked to them but they were not able to do anything about this installation.

Hi Bogdan,
I am very sorry to hear about your experience, that sounds very frustrating.
Just to clarify, it seems there may be some confusion here: SolarQuotes has never recommended or worked with this installer before, they have never been a client of ours. We only refer installers who have been thoroughly vetted and are part of our network.
If you’d like, feel free to reach out to me directly here: ned@solarquotes.com.au and I can help point you toward the right channels for resolving this, or connect you with our installers moving forward.
Wishing you the best in getting this sorted,
Ned.
Accepted one of the quotes
got some good competitive quotes, while not super cheap they were competative with the no frills mobs but without the hard sell.

All the companies that responded were a waste of my time
All the companies that responded were so ridiculously over priced, one of them ended up being more than twice the average price.
The companions were extremely time inneficient

Hi Heath,
Thanks for letting us know, and sorry to hear it was such a frustrating experience.
That’s definitely not what we want for people using our service. The aim is to send you 3 great installers so you can compare options, not feel like your time’s been wasted. Pricing can vary a lot depending on the system and setup, but quotes shouldn’t be wildly out of step without a clear reason.
I'd like to take a closer look at what happened here, especially if one quote came in that far above the others. If you’re open to it, please get in touch with us and we’ll review the companies involved and see what went wrong. My e-mail is ned@solarquotes.com.au, send a message any time. I'll also give you a call after this long weekend to chat about it over the phone.
Thanks very much again for the review,
Ned.

Hi Greg,
Thanks for your feedback and sorry we couldn’t help match you with solar installers in your area.
We’re actively working on expanding our network of installers across regional and remote locations, including the NT. I’ll flag your area with our team so it’s on the radar as we continue to bring on more installers. Just in case it helps I have a third party resource here that may help out in finding an installer in your area: https://www.newenergytech.org.au/find-an-approved-seller
Appreciate you taking the time to leave a review and again, apologies. If you need any help with questions or issues related to solar just shoot me an e-mail here: ned@solarquotes.com.au
Thanks,
Ned
Reassuring
I found a reliable source of information on the topics of solar batteries and panels as well as heat pumps. The installers I used through Solar Quotes ( solar panels and battery and heat pump) were first class. Also great to have SQ behind you if problems occur.

It's a one stop shop for everything…
It's a one stop shop for everything solar. The website is easy to navigate and took me from almost complete ignorance to a comfortable understanding of the concept, process and parts. Excellent comparisons of panels and batteries. Having the security of vetted installers is a huge relief. All 3 installers I nominated responded and were available to answer questions by email, text or zoom. Ultimately the one of the three that I will go with, offered a system that was most affordable for me at this time, although I can't thank the other two who considered my request. Thank you Solar Quotes.
