Brilliant, a professional service with great customer service/attention
I called to update medical history- and spoke with Nikki (?spelling)
She was incredibly helpful, professional, kind and understanding. Gave me lots of options. Have been with Southdownsinsurance for a while and will only ever use them.
Helpful- We went through options and I was made aware of everything that I needed to focus on and allowed me options. Great experience and left me feeling supported and reassured about travelling. Thank you.

Beware Automatic renewal
Automatic renewal with no clear opt out when signing up for the policy. Be careful in a year you'll have a charge you weren't expecting.

Dear Customer,
Thank you for your feedback.
The automatic renewal process is highlighted within the booking process and the policy contract.
We also email all policyholders at their registered email address 21 days prior to the policy expiry date to let them know that their existing policy is coming to an end and the policy will be renewed automatically.
Customers can opt out of the automatic renewal at any time, via email, via the Manage my policy section on our website or via the telephone.
If a policy is renewed but no longer required, it can be cancelled and refunded within 14 days of issue, provided it has not been used for travel or to make a claim.
If your policy is within the 14-day cooling-off period and you would like to cancel, you can do so via our website, by emailing info@southdownsinsurance.co.uk, or by calling 01903 255 659.

Shocking company to deal with if trying to make a claim, weblinks don't work, they drag it out, phone calls you are advised to go to a webpage. call backs go around in circles.

Great understanding company.. fantastic pricing taking into account mine and the wife’s ailments.. brilliant service.. I’ve been with them for 2 years and annual insurance for me and my wife is cheaper than single trips.. auto renewal is on and I will not go to any other insurers.. total cover for everything 👍

Great service and competitive price
I needed to make a change to my daughter’s travel insurance on renewal. The lady I spoke to was very helpful and professional and was able to make the changes that I required and the quote was a lot cheaper than what I had got from a comparison site. Thank you.

When renewing my policy documents
When renewing my policy documents, the declaration was entered incorrectly for two of the Insured. If I hadn't have checked, our insurance would no doubt have been void if a claim had to be made.
I then had to pay two lots of renewal premium as the first renewal had to be cancelled. I am now awaiting a refund of the first premium paid.
Not great customer service.
