Me and my partner are first time buyers to our property. The lack of communication with our solicitor was awful not much help through the process of what’s going on were we were up too in the chain of things we had to keep ringing to find out what was going on our side. Lack of explanation of documents sent to us no explaining of what the documents mean not a very good experience. 😒 we also never got to talk to our solicitor it was always the assistant.

This is the second time I've used Emma's services. She provides professional service, quick responses, and clear instructions. Emma made what could have been a very stressful experience very easy and smooth. I would highly recommend Emma at Stephens Wilmot Solicitors.

Horrible high pressure sales tactics after getting a quote and they refurse to stop calling and messaging near daily. Use of robocalling (AI) is another reason I would never use them.

Extremely disappointing experience – would not recommend

We are first-time buyers and unfortunately our experience with this conveyancing firm has been extremely disappointing.

We are now around 24 weeks into a completely chain-free purchase and still have not exchanged. There was a delay of around a month caused by the seller, which was outside of the conveyancer's control, but the overall length of time this purchase has taken is incredibly frustrating.

The biggest issue has been the communication. We have repeatedly struggled to get clear updates, and on one occasion we received no response for around two weeks. In which time I was being blatantly ignored. When we have asked where things are up to or what is still outstanding, we were dismissed rather than supported or properly informed. Our completion date is coming up and I have very little faith - I’m more excited for my dealing with this company to end than getting the keys at this point.

As first-time buyers, we expected our conveyancer to guide us through the process and explain what we needed to do. Instead, we have often felt like we have been left to figure things out ourselves. We have had to repeatedly chase for information and resend documents that had already been provided. On one occasion, we were asked to resend a signature because the reverse side of the document had apparently not been checked.

We have now reached the stage where we have very little confidence in the service we are receiving. Buying your first home is already stressful enough without feeling like you have no idea what is happening or whether anything is actually progressing.

I logged a complaint with them over 3 weeks again and am yet to recived an acknowledgment.

The experience has been incredibly stressful and has taken a lot of the excitement out of buying our first home. We simply wanted clear communication, proper guidance and a basic level of customer service, and unfortunately that is not what we have experienced.

I am only giving 1 start because 0 is not an option. The worst solicitors, do not choose this firm unless you want to jeopardise the sale.

Multiple emails unanswered by both myself (the client) and to the vendors solicitors. Enquiries left unanswered without proper follow ups, so bad to the point I was advised by the estate agent and other party to change solicitors or the deal will fall through. Unbelievably unprofessional.

We cannot thank Rachel and her team enough for their outstanding help with the sale and purchase of our properties.

From start to finish, they were professional, approachable and incredibly supportive. When we had a plot change, Rachel handled it amazingly and made what could have been a very stressful situation feel so much more manageable.

A big shout out to Abigail Olsen, who conducted the sale of my rental property both professionally and efficiently, with all emails replied to within a timely manner. I was extremely hesitant about using a company through a conveyancing comparison site, of which I had no personal experience, however, their cost was extremely competitive and good value in comparison to my local solicitors, and I believe the service I got was just as good .
