Service/communication - It was difficult to understand on the phone what the representative was saying was saying. Unnecessary requests were made and not followed up. Legal documents with 2 pages were supplied without any signature request on first page, which could mean the first page could be altered. Important items were not raised in good time but close to exchange/completion creating undue stress. Completion was at 2.30pm but not informed until 4.30pm y email.

I would like to thank Tuba Behram for all her help and support throughout the sale of my property. Tuba was easy to communicate with and always responded quickly to any queries. Although the sale took longer than expected and there were a few hurdles along the way, she remained patient, professional and helpful throughout. I'm very pleased with the service I received from BRM Legal in relation to my residential property sale, especially for such an incredibly low fee. We used BRM to sell our mother's bungalow following her death.
We were kept informed of progress throughout. They were easy to contact by phone & quick to respond.Tabassam was especially patient with our lack of tech ability & got us through one way or another.

At the beginning they seemed very quick and efficient and despite having a POA when my father had a stroke the selling of the house was put on hold without me being notified, when I did realise they told me in an email that POA number I had sent them 8 weeks previous wasn’t sufficient but never told me what they did require this was 3 days before I was due to go abroad on holiday. I replied to said email within 20 minutes asking what was required and informed them of my holiday plans but they then phoned me on my holiday a week later saying what they needed when questioned as to why they didn’t reply sooner they couldn’t or wouldn’t give me an answer and the fact that I then had to wait another 4 days before I could deal with the request again delayed everything.
My father then died so a grant of probate was raised quickly and efficiently by Brethertons and sent but had BRM been efficient the sale should have been completed on the POA as it had already been 4 months since an offer on the house had been accepted.
Things started to move again but Muhammed was about as much use as a chocolate teapot always sending emails at around 5.30pm as they are about to close said emails rarely had the info required to solve the issue and meant I had to wait till the next working day to deal with it.
He also waisted an awful lot of my time trying to find a mortgage number for a mortgage that was paid off 26 years ago again this meant a 40 mile round trip to a bank 2 hours on the phone when the DS1 form was all that was needed, he also failed to tell me the land registry form which needed to be signed by a present witness firstly only had to be filled in by said witness name address etc which again could have saved me 2 hours travelling as the registry form had to be signed by 2 representatives in a certain order and this was despite me talking to him whilst travelling to my witness (I honestly think he was just a solicitors secretary with not much experience)
In my honest opinion it was an absolutely awful experience and would advice you to stay well clear of this company the estate agents who I used have removed them from the recommended list of solicitors so that is how bad they were.
