StrideOn Avis 

The stride on scooter was invaluable as an aid to get around the house following a 'speedbridge' achilles tendon repair. I was non weight bearing for 2 weeks and using the scooter was so easy compared to using crutches. I really valued the communication and support provided by 'Stride On'. They are a very professional and organised company. We picked up the scooter on the way back from a holiday and return by courier was really easy.

For a supplier of medical equipment this company is truly terrible. Ordered a knee scooter on a Friday and paid extra for it to be delivered by noon on Saturday as required following serious surgery.

Scooter never arrived and StrideOn cannot be contacted.

RESPONSE; I’ve read your response and it’s telling that at no point do you apologise or even say sorry for all the pain, stress, cost and heartache we suffered as a direct result of your company switching the phones off on Friday afternoon and being uncontactable until late Monday morning. You made a commitment to deliver by noon on Saturday and you didn’t deliver until late Monday morning.

We didn’t select UPS, you did. I don’t care if you’re a small family run business. What I care about is receiving the service I booked and needed, and I didn’t. This sounds like you’ve expanded beyond your capabilities and are not prepared to provide the service required in the Healthcare sector.

Telling me that I’m only the 0.1% makes the situation worse as you’re telling me that individual customers like me don’t matter.

Yes you’ve refunded the delivery charge that wouldn’t have applied if we had requested a Monday delivery and no doubt you’ve claimed that cost back from UPS anyway so this fiasco comes at zero cost to you and your profit is protected.

Maybe you should spend more time on the logistics end of your business and less on defending your social media reputation.

I was recommended the knee scooter from my physio & it has proved a game changer for me as crutches & zimmer was not possible, easy to ride on, comfortable & a big plus was being able to easily fold the handles down to be put in boot, thus enabling me to get out & about. It did cause an interest to a lot of people as most have said they had never seen one before. Very pleasant & helpful people at end of phone, I would throughly recommend this company .

I was recommended Stride-On by a friend after I broke my ankle which required surgery. It was an absolute life saver and I have recommended it to everyone I met in Trauma clinic. The customer service was excellent and everything was dealt with quickly even when the scooter didn’t arrive on time they chased up UPS for me. I was able to extend my hire really easily by sending an email and when I was finished it was collected promptly. I highly recommend this business.

I was given a leaflet by the hospital about StrideOn as my experience with crutches wasn’t great . The StrideOn Scooter regained my confidence and gave me back Independence. I cannot recommend it enough . The customer service has also been excellent. I would have no hesitation on recommending StrideOn to anyone who has had ankle surgery .

I hired two knee scooters one for upstairs and one for downstairs whilst I was non weight bearing for ten weeks. These scooters arrived in an immaculate condition like new and made me feel better using them plus a complete life saver, I don’t know how I would have managed without them. The delivery was prompt and return was so easy. The company are so very helpful and everyone needs one of these if non weight bearing or cannot put their foot down . You can easily get around with this and do all your daily duties. I would leave outside the shower door and hop in and out with the scooter at the ready . Thank you Strideon.

On 11th March I had an operation on my right foot to remove a bone which meant that I would be relying on hopping with either crutches or a frame for 6 weeks ( I didn't fancy either of these). Found out about Strideon and hired myself a knee scooter and it was the best decision, staff were so helpful. I highly recommend it, makes recovery much more pleasant. Delivery and collection was excellent

I have acute osteoarthritis in my foot which caused pain in my right foot. On the 19th February 2026 I was having an operation to fuse the offending joint and phoned the StrideOn team to seek advice on mobility aids post op. The team were extremely helpful and recommended hiring a KneeWalker. They also told me the hire was VAT free because of my condition.
The walker arrived as promised with free delivery for my 4 week plus hire. The walker was exactly what I wanted.
I extended the hire by an additional 4 weeks and this was so easy to do.
At the end of the hire the Walker was collected by UPS exactly as promised. I’m very impressed. Michael King

Louise in customer services has been brilliant. Unfortunately UPS let this business down badly, failing to deliver their promise. Louise tried very hard to speak to someone at UPS but it was impossible. She kept in touch with me and offered the best solutions she could in the circumstances

Excellent service, and a good product made my 8 weeks none weight bearing for an operation to cure arthritis in my ankle bearable, all very straight forward,and good delivery and collection as well .

I was very impressed with the service I received. They were easy to to contact. They were friendly on the phone and always trying to help. Very good value for money. Delivery was excellent and I couldn’t have done without the stride on scooter. It made my life a lot easier after the surgery on my foot.

Prompt delivery, both receiving and taking back after use.
Efficient, friendly cannot be faulted and highly recommend.

The StrideOn knee strider is a fantastic bit of kit that really helps during non weight bearing recovery of the ankle/foot. It enables quick and stable mobility (in relation to crutches) during medical rehabilitation. It allows you to carry items that would otherwise be very difficult or impossible to carry with crutches. The strider is very robustly made and easy to assemble/disassemble. The StrideOn company couldn't be more helpful and it was very easy to extend the hire when needed. Delivery and collection was exactly as agreed. If I was to be super critical, on collection the collection driver said it was company policy that he couldn't enter the house to pick up the strider (which is understandable) but had I been on my own there would have been no way that I could move the 13kg boxed strider to the front door as I was still only partial weight bearing on crutches. Overall the service from the company and the ease of use of the strider equipment was excellent and made life so much easier than it could otherwise have been.

Everything about the rental and experience of using a StrideOn has been exceptional. I have had to extend my rental on several occasions and this has been seamlessly achieved every time. Whenever I have spoken to someone from the company they have been friendly and helpful. I would recommend this product and company to anyone requiring mobility support after an operation.

I had a really good experience. StrideOn were really helpful. They gave me good advice as to what knee scooter would be most suitable. It’s arrived on time with clear instructions to assemble it which wasn’t a lot to do. I found the scooter to be of good quality and very clean. I was able to get around the house really well as it’s not very big where I was worried it might be. The basket was definitely very useful and I even managed to cook whilst using it. I’d recommend StrideOn to anyone and I also feel the cost was reasonable.

I had an operation on my foot, which meant no weight bearing for six weeks. A friend suggested Stride On, so after a very helpful phone call the scooter was delivered within twenty four hours.
I found it invaluable for getting around, it was extremely well engineered and very sturdy. I would have no hesitation in recommending this product.

The hiring process itself was straightforward: the item arrived on time and was useful. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.

When my hire period ended, I called to arrange a return and explained I needed the item longer but planned to buy a cheaper alternative. I was told I could purchase the hired item and later sell it back through StrideOn’s buy-back scheme for £50–£70. Based on that information, I agreed to convert my hire to a purchase.

A few months later, when I contacted them to use the buy-back (the item had mostly been unused in its box), I was told the scheme was no longer running. After I explained that this was the sole reason I had purchased the item, they agreed to reconsider. However, once they received it, I was informed the item was damaged, rusty, and dirty, and they would only offer £20. While I accepted a deduction for dirty wheels, the alleged damage was inaccurate—the item was in the same condition as when I originally received it. My request for reconsideration was declined.

Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. I feel the buy-back scheme was used to upsell the product, only to later reduce the payout with questionable claims. I would strongly advise others not to be upsold after hiring.

What an amazing piece of equipment. It gave my husband the freedom to get out and about without having to rely on crutches as his operation was non-weight bearing.
The stride-on was so convenient. We would definitely use this company again.
The staff were friendly and understanding of his needs. Highly recommended.
