I am incredibly grateful to Sunshine Au Pair for supporting me throughout my entire au pair journey. From the beginning of the application process until my departure, they were always there to guide me, answer my questions, and make sure I felt prepared and supported.

What I appreciated most was how regularly they checked in to see how I was doing and whether I had any concerns or problems. They genuinely care about their au pairs, and whenever I needed help, I knew I could reach out to them.

Sunshine also organizes many activities where you can meet other au pairs, make new friends, experience different cultures, and enjoy your au pair year. They truly make an effort to ensure that every au pair has a meaningful, enjoyable, and memorable experience.

Because of Sunshine Au Pair, I had a wonderful year in the Netherlands and was fortunate to have such a great host family. ❤️ This experience changed my life. A dream I once thought might remain only a dream became a reality, and I experienced so many things I never imagined I would.

Very disappointing experience with Sunshine Au Pair regarding administrative oversight, communication, and support following an early termination/rematch.
As the recognized IND sponsor (erkend referent), an agency is responsible for enforcing compliance and guiding both host families and au pairs through transitions. Unfortunately, after our placement ended, we experienced significant delays and a lack of proactive support regarding urgent compliance and administrative matters:

Municipal Deregistration: The agency failed to ensure that the former au pair deregistered or updated her address within the legally required timeframe after moving out, forcing us to deal with local municipal address investigations (Adresonderzoek) ourselves.

Financial & Account Handovers: Personal financial links (public transport subscriptions) were left unresolved despite multiple written requests, leaving us to handle bank debit blocks independently to protect our account.

Communication: Email follow-ups required repeated chasing, and urgent compliance issues were treated with minimal urgency.

When problems arise, a recognized sponsor should step up to enforce program rules and protect host families. Based on our experience, Sunshine Au Pair failed to fulfill these essential duties. Would not recommend to prospective host families expecting reliable support.
