I recently ordered a sword from SwordsforSale, but I was disappointed with the quality of the product I received. The scabbard and handle do not align properly when the sword is closed, and the sword feels loose inside the scabbard. This is definitely not the level of craftsmanship I expected.

I contacted their customer support team with my concerns and requested a return label so I could send the item back for a refund, but unfortunately, I have not received any response. The lack of communication is very frustrating.

Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this site to anyone, as both the product quality and customer service have been poor. I have all the proof.

Don't listen to the scam scare reviews, not my experience. Not a scam! Yes I received my sword a tad later than was expected, and I also I didn't hear from the company promtly when i contacted them, these things the company could do better with communication to alay customer fears. I am well pleased with the quality of the sword when it arrived, It's razor sharp and a well made sword.

Item arrived damaged . Not able to return… and no replies to emails . Having to go through credit card to get refund .

The katana has honestly exceeded all my expectations. I bought it at a 10% discount as well. It arrived in a great new condition, well packed, and the blade was oiled as well. Very satisfied... thank you!

Very very disappointed - U did not receive the sword shown on the website, ordered or paid for.

I do not expect miracles paying just less than £300 but I did expect the sword to be as described and as shown in the photos. It is not, it is a poorly executed representation. The decoration on the sword received is not as shown in the photos. There is detail of the bamboo missing on the tsuba and surrounding parts. Also the part on the bottom of the handle is not at all like the bamboo leaves in the photos. I would probably have accepted the sword with the sub standard decoration at this price point but what is concerning is the terrible fit of the blade in the scabbard. The blade rattles about and is loose in the scabbard. More worrying and potentially dangerous is that it would fall out of the scabbard if tipped up. This could cause an accident with potentially serious consequences. It should be tight and require pushing free with the thumb. It does not fit at all.

The seller claims a 30 refund policy but of course this means swallowing the cost of returning the sword to an address in China when the website misleads you into believing you are dealing with them in the UK.

No communication is responded to….Avoid like the plague.

As I live local to the address supplied as their showroom and no reply from emails other that a 10% welcome gift. I drove there this morning only to find (as expected) is what looks like a run down house in the middle of a known dodgy estate. So lucky I checked unlike others.

It was a 50/50 if it was a scam or not due to bad customs service, lack of communication, delivery time and no tracking number, but to my surprise item ordered arrived and no complaints the product, suspect company in China with p. O box in UK

Despite the .co.uk domain and UK based address, this “company” is in fact just a drop shipper. If your sword doesn’t get held at customs and you have the difficulties of trying to prove that your sword is legal to import, then expect to wait a lot longer…

Just edited this. I purchased without reading the reviews. With delivery taking ages and no tracker I feared the worse, kicked off and lodged a PayPal refund. Then.. despite little feedback from the seller the sword turned up a month later (2 weeks after it was meant to arrive) which was a surprise. So I’ve edited this review because of that. In fairness, it’s great quality, I just wish the seller had contacted more and given better info with the delays. Maybe it appeared because I acted quickly on the refund.

I WISH I CHECKED THE REVIEWS FIRST. I PURCHASED MY ITEM 2 WEEKS AGO AND THERE IS STILL NO SIGN OF THE SWORD. INITIALLY THEY WILL TALK TO YOU VIA EMAIL TO GET THE MONEY OFF YOU BUT THEN THEY WILL NEVER ANSWER YOUR EMAILS. I HAVE NOW NO OPTION BUT TO RAISE A CANCELLATION REQUEST WITH PAYPAL.

As with the other reviews this is a SCAM.

They don’t respond to emails and give no tracking number. Opened a case with PayPal before the time runs out.

Avoid these at all costs.

I ordered a set of swords from them last Month and unfortunately didn't check before the different reviews that existed online.
I have sent messages to the only contact available their email and did not received a reply.
I should have doubted their legitimacy when they don't even have a UK phone number.
When I requested to cancel my order I finally received a generic reply saying that my tracking details had been updated once again I emailed back right away asking where after checking again a no tracking information had been provided.
Since then i never heard back from them.
I am now going through a claim with PayPal to hopefully get my money back which sadly might never happen.

This website is issuing my home address as a store address!!!!! I bought a sword 2 years ago and now have people turning up at my home wondering where their swords are!

Absolutely rubbish customer service. I ordered a sword for a Christmas present & 3 months later it has still not arrived. I gave them the benefit of a doubt, Christmas is busy, but I would have more luck speaking to Santa himself. No contact phone number so only communication is via e-mail. When they do respond it is always the same, 'order is being processed' 'order in transit', but ask for clarification & you get nothing. Asked for a refund - silence! Raised a PayPal dispute & by the time they responded I was timed out. I have asked for a refund, but to no effect. I have raised a fraud case with my bank, but am not holding my breath. Avoid at all costs
Item eventually arrived from France & company not in UK as suggested on webpage. No communication that it was on it's way. However, item was as advertised - small mercies, I guess.

Very unhappy with this company - the sword arrived too late for Christmas, despite being ordered on plenty of time - emailed to confirm how to return, got a response straight away. The sword was track returned and the company have now ignored 3 emails requesting my refund. They just don’t reply and no contact number. Absolutely disgraceful

Please do not be fooled. Ordered this on 26/11/2022 and explained it was a Christmas and Birthday present for my son.

They told me it was approx 10-19 days so waited till then and still no delivery date confirmed I then sent almost 12 emails in the weeks before Xmas and once a week received a generic email to say next week but they would not provide a tracking number.

By the 24/12/2022 I asked for my order to be cancelled and refunded as sourced an alternate present but still no response from them.

I even received an email to say my order had been fulfilled and could I rate my experience 2 weeks after I placed the order from Massume Swords.

Last Saturday 14/01/2023 I logged a dispute with PayPal to claim a refund and forwarded all the emails that have been sent and received.

Today 21/01/2023 I received a sword which is completely different from the one I ordered based on picture from their website, the colour is black not red and it came in a cheap bag but the picture they showed came with a decorative case which is why I bought the more expensive one.

In reality it looks very cheap and in no way shape or form is the same item I purchased from their own advertisement.

I have just sent an email to request for this to be returned and arrange a refund so I am not looking forward to trying to get my money back as I have no doubt they will make this as difficult as possible.

Please beware of this company and take note of the reviews as all of us can't be wrong.

This is a complete SCAM. Please don't waste your time

The sword arrived after a month, and reading reviews I was worried it would never turn up and email communication was very slow. The shipping information on the website needs to be updated to say that orders may take a lot longer than the average time suggested. There wouldn't be nearly so many poor reviews if they made this clear. Basically don't panic if your order hasn't arrived after several weeks - it probably will turn up! Was pleased with the quality of the sword when it did arrive though.

Very bad communication from start to finish. Sword took a lot longer to come than promised and I had to constantly contact them for updates.
I also requested the blade to come blunt,I was told this would be fine .

Katana finally arrived but the blade was sharp,informed them no response.

Then 2 days after Christmas the blade broke.
I've sent several emails and still no response.

My sword arrived within 5 weeks despite strikes. These are excellent working reproductions. Mine is excellent for my needs & what I wanted it for. I had two original & expensive ones stolen in a burglary that was a gift from the Abe family in Sapporo.

Good quality, although I have no intention of testing them to see if the steel is strong enough. It will IMO for sure cut Bamboo.

My stolen ones were circa £6k apiece so do not expect that, however, the one I have is well above the blunt versions you can buy. Mine came from France or via France, from a Chinese person, which may account for the UK Company not understanding my Japanese, however I speak also Mandarin & Cantonese. I paid circa £250 I think & in all honesty £400-£500 would not be untoward.

I shall buy another in the New Year.

The only negative they should provide you with a tracking order, it might save on the concerns of some after they order.
