I would not use this company again.
They were booked for a 1 to 2pm arrival and turned up after 4pm. Yes, they sent a message in the morning saying they would be late, but over two hours late is not a small delay. It is unacceptable when someone has booked movers for a specific time slot and arranged their day around that.
The worst part was the payment handling. Before they unloaded, they stopped outside the building and insisted on payment there and then, in a very public spot, with the truck open and everything on display. This could and should have been handled far more sensibly, either before leaving the original property or in a more private and practical way on arrival.
Their card machine then failed, and instead of resolving it professionally, they left me stuck in an awkward and humiliating situation while continuing to press for payment. I could see one thing from my bank side, they were claiming another from theirs, and the whole ordeal dragged on far longer than it ever should have.
The entire situation was unnecessarily tense, public and embarrassing. In the end, I had to sort the payment out myself by bank transfer with the office, which is what I had suggested from the start, while they stayed downstairs waiting.
This was not a professional experience. The extreme lateness was bad enough, but the way the payment issue was handled was the part that completely crossed the line. The whole experience felt disorganised, stressful and disrespectful.

While we always welcome feedback, it is disappointing to read a review that leaves out crucial facts about the service provided to you.
Here is the full picture of your move:
Premium Expectations on a Budget Booking: You specifically chose our Budget-Hourly rate. As outlined in the terms you agreed to: "Arrival times are an estimate. We may sometimes be delayed by 1 to 2 hours... By booking an hourly rate, you accept this risk." We even notified you in the morning about the delay. If you needed a strict, guaranteed arrival time, you had the option to upgrade to our Fixed Price Quote. You chose the heavily discounted budget option, but expected a premium, fixed schedule.
The Free Extra Mover You Omitted: Because we knew we were running late, we proactively sent a 3rd mover to your job instead of the 2 you booked, at absolutely no extra cost to you. Because you were paying an hourly rate, this extra manpower meant the job was completed much faster, directly saving you time and money. It is extremely unfair that you chose to omit this major compensation from your review.
Payment Policy: Requesting payment prior to unloading is our strict company protocol and standard industry practice to secure the service. A card machine temporarily losing network signal is a simple technical glitch, not a deliberate plot to "humiliate" you. Our team could not unload the van until the payment was secured, so they patiently waited for you to complete the bank transfer.
Our strict flexibility is exactly what allows us to deliver professional relocations for under £400. We went out of our way to compensate for the traffic delay by providing free extra manpower to speed up your move and keep your costs down. It is a real shame this effort was met with a 1-star review.

Up until paying a deposit, they offered fantastic customer service and advice. As soon as I had confirmed the booking and paid the deposit, that fell away. Poor communication - changing advice and proposals.
Packing Day - The team arrived over an hour late. They blamed traffic Only packed for 2.5 hours. I reminded them that we needed to be out by Midday the following day. They guaranteed me that wouldn't be a problem and that they would be there before 8am the following day.
Moving Day - Arrived 2.5 hours late. Blamed traffic again. Only 1 van arrived, despite ordering 2. Only 3 movers. They said I had only booked 1 van. I called customer service. They then changed the story and said this was a bigger van. That wasn't true. It transpired that TDS had over-booked and couldn't provide 2 vans. There wasn't enough loading crates. The team then sat around for an hour, waiting for crates to load. A second van was promised to arrive by 11am. That came and went. No second van by 2pm. I had to negotiate with our buyer and agent for an extension. Eventually, the vans were loaded by 4.30pm (4.5 hours late).
The 30 min drive to the new property somehow took the movers 1.5 hours. They arrived with a third van to speed up the moving. That van demanded parking (there was only space for 2 vans). Became quite threatening when I said I couldn't provide space for a 3rd van.
No customer service available by this point. A picture was smashed in their haste to get home.
Collection of crates involved no warning. Just 5 phone calls from a random number in the middle of the afternoon. They chipped the front door.
DO. NOT. USE!

Up until booking, we always ensure clear communication. However, a smooth moving day requires a mutual understanding of the property's logistics. On packing day, our team worked efficiently based on the scope provided. On moving day, the primary delay was caused by severe, unforeseen site restrictions at your property.
There were multiple security doors to navigate, and our team was only provided with a single key fob. This meant a crew of multiple movers had to share one key, significantly slowing down the loading process. Furthermore, the designated parking area was exceptionally far from your flat.
Recognising that these factors were pushing the timeline over, our management team made the executive decision to dispatch a third van and extra staff at our own expense to speed up the process and get you moved. When our team arrived with this extra help, we asked for assistance with parking coordination, only to be told it was "not your business to organise parking." In the removals industry, local parking availability and access permissions must be coordinated with the homeowner.
Regarding your mention of a broken picture and a chipped door, we take property care very seriously. Please contact our customer service team directly with photos so we can investigate and address this via our standard claims procedure.
We always go the extra mile—including sending extra vehicles and staff for free—to overcome difficult on-site logistics. We regret that the moving day was stressful, but we stand by our team's hard work under very challenging physical constraints.

I honestly can’t recommend this removal…
I honestly can’t recommend this removal company enough. From start to finish, they were absolutely incredible. They arrived early, which immediately set the tone for a smooth and stress-free move.
What really stood out was how effortlessly they handled everything! even the toughest, heaviest pieces of furniture and our massive American fridge were moved like it was nothing. You could tell they were experienced, organised, and genuinely cared about doing a great job.
They worked efficiently, treated all our belongings with care, and kept a positive, professional attitude throughout the entire process. Moving can be stressful, but they made it feel easy.
If you’re looking for a reliable, hardworking, and highly skilled removal team, this is the one to go with. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again!

Dream move
Wow, easiest move I’ve ever had! They took down and reassembled my massive wardrobe which I wasn’t sure would be possible and did it so quickly! I will definitely book them again- really nice guys too! Couldn’t be happier.
