ENHANCE HOME SOLUTIONS SHARES ITS EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH TERRA ENERGY
Florida home improvement company speaks out about months of payment and communication issues and encourages others in the solar industry to do their due diligence.
FLORIDA - Enhance Home Solutions, a Florida-based home improvement company serving homeowners throughout the state, is sharing its experience working with Terra Energy after months of payment delays, communication problems, and commitments that, in our experience, were not fulfilled.
Enhance Home Solutions provides solar, roofing, windows and doors, water solutions, and other home improvement services. Our business depends on strong relationships with our customers, installers, employees, and business partners. When we make a commitment, we understand that other people are depending on us to follow through.
That is why we believe it is important to share what happened during our relationship with Terra Energy.
Our agreement with Terra Energy included compensation of $0.22 per sale and $0.40 per install. Over the course of the relationship, getting paid became an ongoing issue.
At one point, Enhance Home Solutions went approximately eight weeks without receiving payment. This was not an isolated incident. For months, we experienced repeated problems with payments not arriving when expected.
The impact went beyond our company.
Our installers became frustrated. Customers were not always receiving the communication and callbacks they expected. Our team was left answering questions, maintaining relationships, and dealing with the consequences.
We continued trying to make the relationship work because walking away from our installers and customers is not how Enhance Home Solutions operates.
Unfortunately, the problems continued.
In our experience, Mike Brubaker made commitments to Enhance Home Solutions that were repeatedly not kept. We do not make that statement lightly.
Enhance Home Solutions has retained text messages, emails, payment records, and other business communications related to our dealings with Terra Energy. Our statements are based on our firsthand experience and the records we maintained throughout the business relationship.
We believe accountability matters, especially in the solar industry.
Contractors, dealers, installers, sales organizations, and homeowners can all suffer when companies fail to communicate clearly or meet their obligations. Every company operating in this industry has a responsibility to help raise the standard.
At Enhance Home Solutions, we have built our business around serving homeowners and standing behind the work we do. We believe those same principles should apply to relationships between businesses.
We made every reasonable effort to make our relationship with Terra Energy work. Ultimately, the recurring payment and communication problems reached a point where we felt our experience needed to be shared.
Our message to other companies considering doing business with Terra Energy is simple:
DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE.
Get compensation agreements in writing. Clearly define when payments are due. Keep records of communications. Understand who is responsible for the customer after the sale. Most importantly, make sure the companies you depend on are prepared to stand behind their commitments.
