i got the light up hub few months before GSCES and was on grade 3 on lang and 4 on english lit and ended up getting 6 in lang and 7 in lit!! i definitely recommend it helped me so much.

I love using the Lightuphub portal, everything you need is there. It's really organised and so many tips on how to construct your answer.

It was alright. I went up 1 grade in literature since the start of year 11 to results day. The videos never made sense particularly in Macbeth. The analysis was honestly just weird like definitely wrong sometimes and there was a lot of just waffling tbh. It’s probably more useful for AQA or something as i don’t believe this paragraph structure works eduqas. There were a few videos and analysis that was really good and I ended up using in the exam which helped but i only found the language techniques and explanation helpful and i didn’t use the structure.

Honestly an amazing alternative to a normal tutor, very unique ideas to really appeal to examiners and more basic points to target all grades and work up. My only regret is not starting sooner!

100% recommended for English literature !! Although the resources for Edexcel is not as much as there is for AQA, the resources are really on the point. Went from a 5 to an 8 which is actually insane 🥳🥳 thank you light up hub

Lightuphub made revising for English so much easier and more stress free! today (results day) I received grade 9s in both English lit and language not far from full marks! before i got the lightup hub i was on grades 5 and occasional 6, getting the lightup hub in year 11 was a perfect move and I could not recommend it enough! (The website is also really easy to use)

English Language was my weakest subject starting from a grade 3 in y10 to achieving a grade 8 on results day.I would say what helped me the most were the detailed structure Lightuphub gave and the specific sentence starters it would provide.The night before the exam I copied the structure down onto flashcards and would memorise the sentence starters and structures before going into the exam.Overall,I was very satisfied with the site and it was super easy to navigate.Also,I went from a 2 to 7 for English Lit,which I used mainly Lightuphub for!!

I began using the LightUpHub at the start of Year 11 to boost my English literature confidence and by the start of my GCSEs I felt ready and prepared. I not only improved my confidence but got full marks in my exam so I highly recommend using if you need some support for English!

When I first saw the light up hub girl on Instagram, I didn't think that it would be worth the price, thinking that it was just some scammy website that wouldn't actually help. Following a mock result that I thought I could've done better in (6 in lang, 5 in lit), I decided to pay for just one month of the subscription (later extended), ahead of another set of mock exams. It wasn't something that instantly got me to a grade 9 in a day (nothing can do that) but after spending a bit of time on the website, the constant exposure that you get to top notch analysis can really help with how you start to write your own essays. The essay skills and grade 9 ideas were the most helpful features of the website for literature, and for language, I found the question 5 structures to be extremely useful. In my final set of mocks, I had already improved to an 7 in literature and an 8 in language, which massively improved my confidence. I kept using the website in the run up to my exams, learning how to write grade 9 analysis and writing countless practice paragraphs on the website (which you can get feedback for.) I do think that if you would like to think about getting a subscription, it's best to get it a few months before your exams, rather than the week before. Although it is pricey, I would wholeheartedly recommend the light up hub. And now, on results day, I have achieved 2 grade 9s in language and literature, with scores of 145/160 and 158/160 respectively. This is a seriously good website, that can massively help with GCSE english, if used correctly.

Honestly, this app has been a game-changer for my GCSE English. I went from a Grade 4 to a Grade 9 in English Literature and from a Grade 4 to a Grade 7 in English Language, and I genuinely don’t think I could’ve made that progress without it.

What I’ve found most helpful is how easy it makes revision feel. Instead of just memorising things and hoping they come up, the app helped me understand what examiners actually want, improve my analysis and structure my answers much more effectively. I could instantly see where I was losing marks and what I needed to do differently.

The biggest difference was the confidence it gave me. Going from a 4 to a 9 in Lit is something I genuinely didn’t think I was capable of at the start, and seeing my grades improve made me want to keep pushing. I literally started using this app half way through year 11 and my only regret was not getting it soonerrrrr

If you’re doing GCSE English and feel stuck at a certain grade, I’d seriously recommend giving this app a go. It’s easily one of the most useful revision tools I’ve used, and the progress I’ve made speaks for itself. 10/10 from me! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Started year 11 with grade 3 English language & grade 4 English literature and actual final results were two 6’s in both, mostly used the website only a few weeks before actual exams, and the analysis helped and was easy to remember and stuck with me when writing in the real thing, would 100% recommend

I literally couldn’t have done any better all thanks to light up hub, in my first set of year 10 mocks I was on a 5 in language and 6 in literature and I have just got a 7 in language and a 9 in literature. The lightup hub is amazing and so worth the money! I went from barely passing english language getting a 4 to getting a 7 in my results as well as going from a 5 to an 8 in english language. I wouldn’t of been able to do it without the lightup hub the courses saved my grades it was so helpful and i couldn’t recommend it enough!

I came across the Lightuphub through Instagram and TikTok and at the start of year 11 and was continuously achieving at around a 5/6 in both English literature and language so decided to sign up to the Lightuphub to improve my grades and once I started using it everything fell into place for me, the work load became more organised as the individual lessons and ways to structure essays massively helped improve standard of my writing. In the run up to my exams the live lessons were brilliant and extremely helpful, it gave me that extra boost that enabled me to feel confident and organised when going into my exams. So anyone who is struggling or needed that extra boost in their English to secure your dream grade I couldn't recommend the Lightuphub anymore, for me it was 100% worth every penny as someone who has just achieved their dream grades at a 7 in English language and an 8 in English literature.
