I could not find any decent turkey anywhere in September and ordered the turkey and ham box as a last resort. The quality of the meat was excellent and the service impeccable

First order and unfortunately some challenges.

DHL had parcel 10:09am on 24th August and delivery took place 26th August at 2:30pm.

Emailed late evening on 25th advising no delivery.

Called 26th around 8am and advised someone would call me back. Customer service advised will chase DHL to deliver by 10am and whilst on call I got confirmation 2.30pm earliest.

On 26th around 10am advised best option was food be delivered as could not be cancelled. Advised further discussion about delivery would take place internally and I would receive call or email.

No communication received.

Neighbour took delivery and helped keep boxes cool due to us having a wedding on this day (reason we avoided delivery on 26th).

Emailed after returning from wedding on 26th asking for clarity on food quality but no response all weekend.

Purchased food for my daughters birthday so had to buy new food to be sure we did not cause any harm to guests.

Delivery placed in freezer so not to spoil whilst waiting answer.

Received communication after weekend advising colleague had responded.

The email received was before verbal conversations and still no email or call advising food is fit for purpose.

Even if the food is ok to eat and turns out to be the best we have tasted, would struggle to recommend.

Normally I do not provide details of positive or negative scores on feedback but feel blaming DHL and not communicating reflects in the score.

Order arrived in perfect condition and delivered on time. Had the venison steaks tonight and they were delicious 🤤 like all the beef I’ve had from this company always first class.

Have ordered before, very easy and straightforward procedure. Quality of meat is excellent, comes in a freezer box in perfect shape - even in a heatwave. On time delivery - happy customer. Will be back again :)

It would be useful to know in advance if any of the excellent products delivered were suitable for freezing in the of chance we did not use everything in couple of days. All my delivery appeared to have come directly from a freezer and the majority was past the point that I could put it back in the freezer.
No spices delivered with Chicken for making Kebabs as advertised but overall very pleased and will use again

Last week, we ordered 4 boxes of meat. We had a BBQ planned for around 50 guests and, after checking the pieces, we were shocked because we only received a quarter of the meat we ordered. Just less than two days before the BBQ!! We contacted the company and they were very kind, friendly and understanding. After sending them the list of pieces we received, they sent us the remaining ones very quickly. We received them just on time for the BBQ. The quality of the meat is very high, so our guests were very pleased. I will definitely order more meat for next BBQs!!

Delivered with care and when stated. Driver was considerate. Site is easy to use. Lots of ice packs in the box so meat was frozen when arrived. Not eaten meat yet but am sure it will be delious. I would definitely recommend.

Some of the meat had totally defrosted and some were part defrosted so I was disappointed in that. I hope the meat will be ok when we eat it as there’s only 2 of us and so we couldn’t eat it all straight away.

I ordered on a Thursday afternoon and paid extra for a Saturday delivery. DHL picked the order up from The Meat Box Company on the Friday morning and it was in their depot (less than miles from the farm and 50 miles from us) by afternoon Friday. Despite this, DHL were not able to deliver to us until mid Monday afternoon, by which time the meat was completely defrosted. We have no idea how it was kept over the weekend so we did not cook the meat and asked Meatbox for a full refund. To give them credit, after a few days they agreed to look into the DHL problem and give me a full credit.

The quality of the meat was great as usual, but unfortunately due to the fact that the delivery was late and in excess of the 48 in which the meat remains safely frozen, most of the meat had to be discarded. We bought the box to stock up the freezer, there is no way that we could have eaten all of the thawed meet within 7 days as suggested. I realise that this was down to the courier and not Meatbox. I have dropped one star due to the fact that that I cannot take the chance that it won't happen again and nice meat and money will be wasted.
