So happy that I switched to Seep
I really wanted to cut down on plastic use and have found all Seep products to be amazing. The sponge scourers are great for cleaning grease off baking trays and the cloths not only look good but work well. I won’t be returning to the awful green sponges which bobble and disintegrate in a few weeks leaving plastic particles behind! Thank you Seep for your great products

I bought a box of 4 and they’ve all disintegrated within days. I’ve emailed them and they didn’t respond.

Amazing plastic free products
Amazing products. The sponge cloths are a great product to replace typical kitchen roll and it's great to know you're doing your bit for the planet too.

I really wanted them to work but after just one week it started deteriorating and they are not cheap! I had to buy normal sponges again. Shame!

Seep scourers
I bought a full 12 months worth of these scourers as I wanted to stop using the plastic ones. First impressions were they did the job. Yet after using them for just a week the sponge has started splitting from the scourer. So not great quality.

One year supply lasted 2 years
Have just placed second order and was amazed to see that the last order I placed was March 2024 not 2025 like I thought. Long lasting and effective. Wash really well

Eco sponge scourers
I bought the Eco sponge scourers and within a few days they split apart. The "glue" holding the 2 different pieces together is not strong enough. Sponge and scourer work well, but annoying that they are now 2 pieces and not 1 sponge.

Our sponge scourers are 100% plastic-free, so it sounds like the stitching has given way ( no glue is used ) They do go through a quality control but the odd one does find its way through. Not sure.....
Tried sponges and was impressed. Lasted a decent amount of time and no qualms replacing with another. However second one in part separated after only a few days. It's like it has a mouth! It's still usable but leaves me questioning if I will get a third. Food debris gets caught between the layers.

Pleasantly surprised at how well the scourer is lasting. I purchased a pack which had Several items. The plastic bags got damp and melted together so my fault but all the other items are excellent quality and I have found the sponge really flexible if the scourer doesn’t fit and I am happy with the longevity of the scourer which I didn’t expect to wear so well.

Not there yet.
My experience with Seep washing up sponges has been disappointing. The sponges are vey stiff, and uncomfortable to hold and manipulate. Like other review-writers, I found that the sponge pad came loose from the scourer almost immediately. The sponge part is now, after just a few weeks’ use, flaking, with chunks coming off the sponge. I won’t be using the remaining sponges in the box, and will now experiment with a different brand.

Hello, We are sorry that you haave found this. The sponge scourers need to be dried out before they can be packaged and dispatched to customers. When you start to use them rinse under water and give them a little massage before use to soften up. The sponges will become softer upon continued use with washing up liquid. They will also soften with usage, so the longer you use it, the softer and more malleable it gets. You can speed this up by popping it into the washing machine or dishwasher a few times. I believe in the idea of this but this company are not ready to be charging £4 per sponge.
I saw an ad about sponges and microplastics recently and it really never clicked that sponges are probably made from plastic, and incredibly bad. So I immediately investigated and the next day headed to my local supermarket and found a Seep sponge, £4. A bit more than I'd be willing to pay for a sponge, but I thought I'd try it.
Very very disappointed from the get go. The scourer side is actually not great. Softens very very quickly. The cellulose side is pretty decent though and I found it actually cleaned better overall than the rougher side.
But, alas, I'd seek an alternative to this product...mine has completely fallen apart after less than 2 weeks. The two sides separated from each other after about 7 days and the sides have since both started tearing.
If you want to charge £4, you better make a good product.
Don't pretend to be part of the solution when all you are doing is capitalising on the problem with a rubbish product...that's not a solution.
Will not buy again.

Hello, thank you for trying our sponge scourer. It would be great if you could get in contact with us to say where you bought your sponge, ( hello@theseepcompany.com )as it should be £2.95 not £4. Loofah fibres are naturally coarse and have good scrubbing power, yet are gentle enough for non-scratch pans. If you require more heavy duty cleaning, we suggest our copper scourers or washing up brush. We have pretty good quality control for all of our products and check each batch that goes out of our factories, but unfortunately, some not-quite-right products do occasionally slip through. Unfortunately although they clean the dishes well, 3 out of 4 sponges received separated from the scourer part after 1 or 2 uses. Very disappointed.

Poor quality control
I like others wanted to like these sponges, I bought a pack of 4, the first one came apart at the stitching, the loofah on the second one i tried, got a large hole in it. I'm on the third and it seems to be holding together but, the loofah part once wet on any of them, isnt that good at scrubbing. I bought mine through Amazon and they refunded me. I wont buy them again.

Box of 12 seep sponges
I was very excited to purchase a box of 12 seep sponges for the first time. Sadly after 1 week the sponge began to separate from the back. Hence the one star. I haven't even washed it yet. I am hoping it was a one off!

Good Project but need to improve
I was keen to support this project after watching on tv. Sadly I’m very underwhelmed by them.I bought the sponge scourers and all purpose cloths. I wanted to buy the copper looking scourers too but they have buyout of stock since I first visited!!!
I agree with many others that the sponge scourers are very inflexible and washing cups et al is not an option. Also the 12 for 1 year is pure fantasy land, which makes the a bit overpriced. The all purpose cloths were really good, could almost use them as a flannel (now there’s an idea). I do think it’s crass the companies that purportedly want to grow and grow are repeatedly out of stock, it’s not good. I shall definitely get some more all purpose cloths and some copper scourers if the ever are in stock, but overall I was slightly underwhelmed.
