Bathroom transformed....

Bathroom looks beautiful. Following a spinal stroke, I required a walk in bath and shower but also wanted it to be stylish, aesthetically pleasing and design-led, as well as functional and operational to cater for my physical needs. All contact was very helpful and professional with all departments and the workmanship in the bathroom done to an excellent standard. It was also completed ahead of schedule within the time-frame with high quality materials and fittings. Thank you.

A deep soak, at last.

We had a deep walk-in bath fitted.

My initial contact was with Carla who was friendly and very efficient, (who rang back whenever she said she would.)

Graham and David ( as the surveyors) who visited to recce the task and produce exact detail were charming and helpful, explaining all aspects, making suggestions and agreeing our requirements.

Paul (the installer, a skilled carpenter and plumber) was punctual, fastidious in keeping the job clean, quick and his making good was excellent. When the delivery van carrying all the new kit arrived, the driver could not help him. Having no one else to help him carry it all up and not wanting to delay the fitting, Paul carried the bath alone up a narrow Victorian staircase (and the old
one down!)

The rubbish removal (not Paul’s task) took a little longer than we expected, but it was not a major issue.

In conclusion: A great job and firm, but at £8k+ this is a pricey way to go. However, if you pay peanuts….

Good Product / Shameful Service

The actual product is very good and my 91 year old mother was pleased with it however during installation an error was made by the engineer which required further visits to put this matter right.
To cut a very very long tale short the after sale service received was shameful.Having paid 95% of the balance upfront a catalogue of errors occurred whilst awaiting remedy including demands for payment / requests to call engineers who when contacted knew nothing of why we were calling and despite contacting the MD directly it has taken approx 2 months since original fitting to remedy the issue with an offer of £50 compensation from the company for the inconvenience and stress caused to my mother.
The final balance has now been paid and the matter now closed however it has left a very bad taste and I would not recommend the company solely on the basis of the after sale service.

Dear Mr Holmes, thank you for your review on behalf of your mother, as with all installations of this type there are some issues that are unforeseen and can't be planned to avoid, we deal with these in a timely manner and as you said in your review we have sent technical field surveyors and installation engineers to rectify the issue in a timely manner. I refuted your request to withhold the final balance payment as we had completed the work to the agreed schedule of works detailed on the the contract we have with your mother. I offered a reduction of £50.00 as a goodwill gesture and feel very disappointed that your feel you have to write such remarks when we completed the work as per the agreed contract. Full story when the sales man first…

Full story when the sales man first came and described it i thought yeah great then the price came and I thought HOW MUCH just to change a bath to a walk in shower ( I didn't know just how much work had to go into it now I do) we was told it would be mid February which was fine then a week later we got a phone call a cancellation had happened ( who ever cancelled if you read this thank you) and we got told they could fit it next week great as my 88 year old farther in law lives us life's would be made easier sooner.the work guy turned up monday morning to take out bathroom he couldn't be more helpful and polite if he tried great guy the following day the fitter turned up again fab guy so helpful when we needed to move my farther in law everybody went above and beyond. Now we have stunning new bathroom suited perfectly for us all at what I now consider a really fair price ( now I've seen how much work it takes) i only have 1 problem and thats i have to wait till tomorrow to use it and I want to use it now it looks that good. So thanks so much to everyone from first contact to last contact stress free no hassle can not recommend enough ✨️ all the best guys Richard and Karen Wilks.

Poor service once they got 95% of your money

Where do I start my 87 year old mother in law placed a order with this company for a walk in bath she is a fragile lady and also a 85 year old gentleman both have serious illnesses and mobility problems.
They started the installation and came across a problem with waist pipe which was resolved by ourselves within a couple days We were told to ring when all was sorted which we have done for the last 2 weeks and the receptionist says will get the installation team to ring back which they have not done .we ring every day and are told the same rubbish . They have had 95% of the money and now do not wish to know .
She is left with no bath and no idea when they will finish this if they ever do . Very bad customer service once they got your money .

Dear Mrs Coles, Thank you for sending the review, I have read through all your comments and can appreciate you are writing this in frustration due to the situation with your mother in law. When we came to do the installation we found that the existing pipework wasn't sufficient to drain the bath correctly, this was identified as an existing issue which we agreed you would sort this as it wasn't part of the original installation work we had agreed to do. Unfortunately we can't be held responsible for prior work done before we commence our work. The work to correct the pipework was done and we can now arrange for the final completion of the installation. It is regrettable that these things happen but it isn't something we can plan for until we remove the existing equipment. The work has been booked in and is being completed over the next day or so. You have my sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused and for this I will extend your installation guarantee for a further 12 months. Had a walk-in shower installed as a bath replacement.
The service from this company was excellent. Derek Holloway the installed did a very professional job and left a tidy workplace. I would also say that the office staff were readily available and easily contactable.
I am very satisfied with the installation which took 3 days

From start to finish this was the most…

From start to finish this was the most stress free experience . Jules came to see us and offered suggestions for our needs , he left all the relevant information with absolutely no pressure to buy . We decided we liked what we saw and went ahead with a walk in shower . Ian came to do a survey and went through everything in detail , he was very aware of our needs and made suggestions which were great. Work began on 11th August , Duncan and Graham did the installation and were so respectful of our home , they were a pleasure to have in our house . The work was finished in three days To say we are delighted with the finished product is an understatement , it is absolutely beautiful and the finish is superb. Thank you to all involved in making this such a wonderful experience .

Exceptional Workmanship

I have never used Trustpilot before. However, I was so impressed by the quality and service provided by the installer, Jim Radford. He was timely, tidy and totally professional. The quality of his workmanship was exceptional, as I know from the fact that my deceased husband was a master builder. I cannot recommend Mr Radford highly enough.

Installation of a Medway walk in shower.

I would like to say how pleased we are with our Medway walk in shower fitted by Joe, who was very efficient and very quick, we were surprised that he managed to do it in two half days, he was gone by lunch time on both days. Any way he did it to a high standard with quality materials using a premium product for a premium price, which we were happy to pay that, thanks again.

Me and my husband couldn't be happier…

Me and my husband couldn't be happier with our new bathroom installation, Jim the fitter was excellent and he even cleaned up every day after he had finished, we only wished we had done it sooner. Thank you.

Be careful...

I am writing on behalf of my mum and her husband. A sales person went to her house today from this company to measure up for a new bathroom and walk in shower. He wanted £7000 up front for a deposit. My mum tried to pay with her card and (thank god!) It didn't go through. She went upstairs to speak with her husband who is disabled and mostly bed bound, this man followed her upstairs and went into their bedroom! This is totally unacceptable, creepy and highly unprofessional. He then wrote down the numbers from my mums bank card and rang HER bank on his own phone and started telling the bank lady about the card issue. The bank lady refused to speak with him and so my mum went on the phone. The bank was very concerned about this situation and advised my mum to ask the man to leave, she unfortunately had to cancel my mums bank card and is sending a new one in the post. A couple of hours later the police turn up at my mums door. The bank lady was so concerned that she called the police to make sure my mum was safe. This company is appalling and so dodgy. Taking advantage of vulnerable elderly people. I've read some of the bad reviews on here and I can see the company often reply back by saying we are lying or maybe the customer is confused. Can you be anymore condescending and rude. Just because most of your customers are elderly doesn't mean they are scenile! I dare you to say it am lying because I would really love to go to the newspapers about this shoddy company. Be careful people.

24/04/25: Response to Mr Allens comment: You have already said all that in the previous email you sent me, Jules. Copy and paste was it? You do talk rubbish Mr Allen. Wish i could say more but I wouldn't want my review to be taken down. P.S just because you give someone a "free no obligation quote" doesn't give you or your hired workers or anyone else the right to take advantage of people.

Dear Mrs Davies, I feel I must write this in response to your comments regarding the free no obligation survey that your mother requested. We attended site to survey for a walk shower, the surveyor spoke with your mother as your father was bed bound and also asleep at the time, after the appointment your mother agreed that she would like to proceed and place an order for a walk in shower, when placing the deposit the bank flagged the payment as they do normally due to the higher than normal amount of the transaction. Your mother then asked your father to speak to the bank and the bank could make out what your father was saying to pass him through security. The surveyor was asked by your mother to explain what she was purchasing to your father and that is why he went upstairs to speak to your father. There is nothing creepy or dodgy as you put it, it was by request of your mother to enable your father to be involved in the purchase of the new walk in shower. At the point where the bank were asking your mother questions regarding the appointment I was listening to the call and can validate that everything we did as a business was above board and proper, as the owner of the business I tried to speak with you regarding this and you wouldn't engage with me by telephone and actually accused me of harassing you (which was not the case). We apologise to your and your parents if the incident caused any upset or confusion as this was never intended, we were invited into your parents home to provide a quote and a free no obligation survey which we obliged to do as per your mothers request. Dear Mr Johnson, thank you for your feedback regarding your experience, the taps which were specified were initially standard specification as per all installations, once we established a low pressure tap would provide an improved water flow, we installed a low pressure tap free of charge. All survey appointments are sat with a sales advisor who provides an itemised quote with a technical drawing which once approved by the customer acts as the sales order, we then send a technical surveyor who would run through all elements of the sales order with you and make any changes to the specification. This is not the behaviour or lack of professionalism shown by a company who you state in your feedback as ''no good consultation''. The shower and all equipment is the best of quality with the longest of guarantees. The after sales service you are referring to is a call made by you to the office which stated the shower waste was blocked by hair and debris, our customer service team pointed out that is your responsibility as the user to keep the shower clean and clear so as not to block the waste. We simply stated that if we attend site and the blocked waste is from user error and not a manufacturer's product failure that the visit would be chargeable. Derelict bathroom transformed

My brother Bob is developing dementia and we wanted to make his home as comfortable as possible while he was still capable of living in it. So we contacted the Walkin Bath Co.
From the first visit from their surveyor, everyone showed care and consideration. The existing bathroom was in a terrible state and the surveyor said we would end up with a bathroom that looked just like the one in their brochure. To our immense relief and pleasure that is just what we received, just beautiful

New walk in shower

I contacted the walk in bath co. As i needed my bath removed and a walk in shower installed.i have a very old property (1860’s) and nothing is straight and level so this proved a challenge.The fitter (jim)arrived as agreed and realised straight away that this would be a challenge for him, the first being there was no parking as i told them and he had a big van which had to go in the car park across the road and pay the daily charge. He informed me that even though the company had sent a surveyor round prior to his arrival , that he hadnt highlighted certain aspects such as my floor ran out 3.5 inches etc etc all which jim spent many hours levelling and staightening up .( well the first 3 days in fact) and various other issues . A cable for the shower had to be run up the outside of the building to get into the loft and over to the shower as there was no other way . I am so pleased the company sent jim as he wasnt just a plumber but an electrician also and managed to tackle all the aspects of the installation by himself. I am over the moon with my new shower and it has transformed my life . The products are very good quality and the installation is superb . I wish i was able to give more than 5 stars as jim put his heart and sole into the job . I would definitely recommend the walk in bath co and certainly jim to anyone . Thank you so much .

So pleased with my new bathroom

Having just moved, I was in desperate need of a walk in shower to replace the bath. The Walk In Bath Company could not have been more helpful from start to finish. I decided to have a complete bathroom re-fit, and although there were problems along the way, they were sorted very quickly and efficiently with my interests at the top of the list.
The installation was done so professionally by Paul, who took his time to explain what he would be doing and making sure I was happy at every step of the way. He was very friendly, a good time-keeper and made sure everything was right. He worked so hard and I'm so pleased with the result.
Thank you to all at The Walk In Bath Co. for a brilliant installation and especially to Paul, the fitter. I would recommend them to anyone.

Appalling workmanship

Appalling workmanship, you used a contractor that was clearly not up to the job. After sending photos of the absolute shambles of a bathroom and outside drainage you agreed to fix the multiple problems, we requested a new contractor however you sent the same useless contractor to do his rework and surprise surprise what need to be sorted wasn't. Now the toilet doesn't even flush and he's silicone sealed the toilet lid ! Impossible to recommend this company.
