Zeer tevreden voor zover ik nu een week…
Zeer tevreden voor zover ik nu een week bezig ben.
Moet me alleen nog verdiepen wat er nu wel of niet geregeld wordt als je een managed Server afneemt. Eigenlijk wil ik alleen maar een backup van de Server per dag / per x uur etc. En geen updates want dat kan ik zelf wel.

Tilaa will stop and block your VPS server with no reason, based on some broad assumption that VPS is "insecure". After I contacted them, I got the response that my VPS was not causing any issues, but they got it stopped (without being able to start it again) because they assumed it will cause some issues.
All they did to warn me are the few generic emails, no phone call or SMS, and this caused financial losses to me. I am also irritated by the fact they are trying to justify their dumb move without offering some real facts and/or technical explanation (I am a tech person myself).
By the way, I am a Tilla customer since 2013, and this is the first time they act so unprofessional and actively hurting my business.
EDIT: they stated, "We then decided to suspend your server to force you to contact us and have this matter solved." - you are suspending services that I already paid, that you had no proof that they were harmful to your infrastrcuture, just in order to get me to contact you? Despite having my phone number? Just ridiculous. I have changed 3-4 VPS providers in the meantime, they were all miles ahead of Tilaa in terms of technology and customer support, so lesson learned I guess.

Hello Nicola,
I do not think it is fair that you claim that we shutdown your VPS without any reason.
We have sent out 3 notifications over the last 2 months that your server is running an open portmapper service which can be abused. We did not receive any response on these notifications from you. We warned you in the third notification that we would bring down the server if this open portmapper service wasn't addressed within 48 hours. After 48 hours we still saw that your server was still running an open portmapper service and we decided to put the server down. Then you decided to start your server again without addressing this matter and again ignore our emails.
We then decided to suspend your server to force you to contact us and have this matter solved. Unfortunately you contacted us after we had suspended your server and you indicated that you did not have the time to provide a solution. If you would have contacted us earlier we would not have to suspend your server and we could actually assist you configure your portmapper server is such a way it could not be abused anymore.
From our perspective it looked like you simply did not receive our notifications or decided to ignore them.
I hope you understand why we do not tolerate running services on our platform that can be abused. We like to see that these unsafe services are configured in such a way that the can't lead to actual abuse.

Eerste ervaring met Tilaa
Eerste ervaring met Tilaa. Volledig installatie wekte zonder problemen. Mijn VPS is een linux Debian versie en vervangt een dns server en mail forwarder server die voorheen op ons kantoor geinstalleerd was. Wel zorgen voor een degelijke firewall configuratie want alle poorten staan open naar het het internet toe en dus ideaal voor hackers om even proberen binnen te breken.

Administratief niet bepaald klantvriendelijk
Met betrekking tot het technische geen commentaar.
Administratief nog wel het nodige te verbeteren, dat kan een stuk klantvriendelijker. Als je een VPS opzegt wordt je telefonisch gecontacteerd (prima), maar neem dan ook even contact op als een automatische incasso ineens niet meer lukt (en zet dan niet meteen de VPS uit). Dat scheelt weer een opzegging (en een telefoontje).
