What a dysfunctional system help!

Ive had over 100 letters over 15 years saying the same rubbish. Ive never watched any tv at my property. They are scared of weaning themselves off a luxury getting money for free that is backed by our governments shame on them . Netflix, disney, amazon prime, TV paramount, is the way to go, having a choice, not forced. A family member pays for their TV license, but only watches 2-3 programs per year on bbc 1, never anything else. And the bbc makes money extra from there other channels with ads, ukgold ect.

Just tried to cancel our TV license and customer service sounded we are trying to evade paying license with so many questions of why cancel!!!??

I told the rude customer service that we are selling the property and we are abroad

A barage of questions for cancelling and indifference attitude makes me wonder why I pay BBC license all these years for nonsense reporting supporting the far-right!

Have just brought my property already recieving threatening letter from TV licence in the few weeks I've lived in the house threatening an enforcement officer visit. De fund the BBC and the TV licence

Doesn’t even deserve one star- been told to give the contact number is 03000 7906060. Get through to someone in India who can just about understand me reporting on behalf of my 89-year-old mother who is asking to be paid £180 she gets Pension credit and shouldn’t be paying for this. It’s caused her stress and giving me grief. Why the hell am I being diverted to India for a TV license in Britain? It’s fricking disgusting

Absolute joke of an organisation using passive aggressive and threatening correspondence to try and scare people into paying for a license they don’t need.
Didn’t renew my license as no longer required. Received copious amounts of passive aggressive emails, letters and text messages. Went online to declare I don’t need a license which they acknowledge.
Then received an email to say an investigation had been launched, emails to say I ‘should’ expect a visit.

What for I pay ? TV Licence ? For who ? Just because they said: "" You Must pay ...or # ""

I feel the need to leave feedback. I do not watch TV or any of the associated channels that a TV licence is considered needed for. I haven’t done for some time (years) and as a result of this cancelled my TV licence roughly 18mths or so ago. The level of harassment since cancelling it has been shocking and very stressful. I have now moved home and immediately received the same harassing letters at my new home. I’m sick of it and because of the stress it causes I have bought a poxy licence even though I still do not watch television because it’s the only way to make the harassment stop. They should be ashamed of themselves for using such bullying tactics. It’s not ok and whilst I know I shouldn’t have given in and bought a licence buts it’s one less stress I could really do without.

These people are all scum imagine even working for a place like this, hadn’t even moved into my property and they are sending me threats, your mother hates you if you work here and you should think about getting a real job not some legal racket scheme

Why do the BBC alone, amongst all the others who require people to obtain a license to do something, indulge in harassment, threats and intimidation towards those who do not watch or record live TV and are just not willing to waste their time contacting TV Licensing to inform them that they don't do something (that they never do anyway and definitely don't want to either) because arrogant idiots are incapable of imagining that not everyone in every residential property is interested in abysmal TV output.
This is an unacceptable racket, but all UK Governments are in cahoots with the BBC and its agenda of woke propaganda and so don't put a stop to intimidation of innocent citizens.
Ignoring all the warning letters eventually leads to a notification that an inspection visit has been authorised. This is followed by a letter with a visit date (no time indicated) but this is just a lie, no one turns up. The idea is that idle postal threats will increase License sales - it won't, especially by those who don't require one.

I have been trying to contact the TV Licence about my 80 year old mother who lives in shattered housing with dementia. Their website saye they open at 8.30 you listen to all their recorded messages give the account number then it saying the call centre doesn't open till 9am..ridiculous!

Just moved into a new place, I don’t even have a TV and they keep harassing me with letters, threading they will send enforcement officers. Is this company ran by clowns?

Took up a licence on 29th of April paid an upfront amount fornd I didn't watch TV . Then cancelled and the refined me £6.00 charged me two months a full month for April as they say the license starts from 1st of the month . Rob dogs then the wonder why people don't want to pay it .

They are a disgrace, I have been receiving threating letters for a while, this was after I told them last year I did not need a TV licence. It is basically harassment and I don't know how they get away with it. If a person did anything like this they would be convicted of a crime. So disappointed that there is one rule for some and completely another rule for others. Aggressive and bullying behaviour is unacceptable, it seems that this does not apply to the TV licencing department though.

At this point its just "give us your money or we will harass you forever".

I received a letter from tv licensing asking me to check/change my email address. (I had chsnged this due to phishing event 3 weeks ago).

Changed online - wanted 16.50 for this. Queried charge by online chat - given a number to call as said not their department (?).
Rang number and went round and round the phone system to be sent a whats app link for my query and hung up.
Wrote a message via whats app who introduced himself as Andy the AI assistant.

Went to website - rang a customer service number, listened to half a message and hung up when told I was being charged 6.00 for the call.

Official complaint lodged.
I want email changed with no charge as I have updated online and done all the work.

In future I would like to speak to a human being.

Followed all of the advice given, am doing nothing wrong, and still receive threatening, anxiety inducing letters telling me to prepare for prosecution, and that an investigation has been scheduled. Modern day scammers. Disgusting.

And terrible customer service to top it off.

for the first 6 months, they charge you twice of the money, and charge you a full month even you started on the last day of the month.

i canclled as we dont really watch it, now it took 1 month, yet still not received the refund. They claimed cheque has been sent 2 weeks ago, which i highly doubt.

Very bad customer service, avoid at full cost.
