Very disappointing experience
Unfortunately, the move resulted in damage to several items and additional costs for me.
The team dismantled my sofa because it would not fit in the lift, with the understanding that it would be reassembled. It wasn't, and I had to pay someone else to do it. My £600 bed frame was also damaged, with part of the laminate/finish coming away, alongside scratches/damage to other furniture.
What has been most disappointing is the aftercare. After nearly three weeks of back-and-forth, the focus has been on disputing responsibility rather than resolving the issues. I was offered £50, later increased to £75, as a "goodwill gesture", which does not reflect the damage or costs incurred.
Problems can happen during a move, but how a company handles them afterwards matters. Unfortunately, my experience of their complaint handling has been extremely disappointing.

Handled a last minute urgent request with ease
Our existing mover let us down one day before a move. Contacted UK Movers after a recommendation.
The management team were responsive, arranging two vans as requested.
Both vans arrived on time and their drivers/labour help worked hard during the move day, including a drop off from London to Birmingham. Items were packed with care.
We negotiated on the price and I believe I got as reasonable quote given it was the evening before the move next morning, and UK Movers had to arrange logistics quickly.
Am happy with their service and would recommend them.

Above and Beyond Service from Asim & Abdul
Asim was top class from start to finish. He was incredibly helpful throughout and even let me ride along in his van from London to Brighton, which made the whole experience much easier.
Abdul was also excellent with communication, keeping everything clear and straightforward the entire time.

Sami and Abdulla worked incredibly…
Sami and Abdulla worked incredibly hard, were kind and made the day as easy as possible.
The issue with a video being used to decide on the truck size and staff numbers is they underestimate the load size. We ended up having to pay essentially for another van - doubling the cost. Needed more people. And I was helping.
Would recommend for small moves.
