Overpriced and Anti-consumer

For the price, the quality of Urth's filter are poor. Their whole order confirmation email chain is completely strange with little to no visibility to your orders confirmation. They advertise being eco friendly yet dispatch from Amazon.

When I went to return my filters. They charge £7.88 to return the product AND you have to pay for the postage yourself.

Completely anti-consumer. I could never recommend Urth to anyone

18/05 Edit: after retuning my order (48 hour tracked) 2 weeks ago. I emailed Urth to check on my return. They have lost my package despite showing it has been delivered by Royal Mail. After they confirmed it was lost, I’ve not heard a thing from their customer service in 4 days despite chasing them for a resolution.

If I could give lower than I 1 star. I absolutely would

Poor experience - returns

be warned.. you can't return reduced price items - not even for an exchange. That is not clear on the site.. I now have a lap top sleeve that I'll never use.
Lap Top Sleeve: very poorly designed/made. It feels like it has cardboard in either side that's been folded at some point, so it doesn't lie flat.

Shame .. as communication has been fast and helpful.
Also bought their new small bag - 5 star for that.. good selection of pockets, will be v useful.

Just to clarify, our Archive Sale items are marked as final sale and not eligible for return or exchange unless faulty. This is noted on the product page, though we understand it can sometimes be easy to miss, especially during a sale.

That said, we never want anyone to feel stuck with something they won’t use. If you’re open to it, we’d love to take a closer look at the issue you mentioned with the structure of the sleeve. It shouldn’t feel compromised or misshapen, so there may be something we can help with there.

Slow Delivery

After following up on an order that wasn't shipped after more than a week, they came back saying "we’ve just been informed that the warehouse is currently undergoing a transfer". On their website they say delivery takes 4 to 7 days, but it has been 12 and I still don't have my item. Other than that, they were responsive every time I got in touch, they should not charge for shipping if they're not going to follow through on their side of the deal. I had a shooting booked and I had to rent gear because it didn't arrive in time.

*Edit: I was issued a refund on the delivery after writing this review which is kind of nice.

Our standard shipping timeframe is 4–7 business days as outlined on our website, and based on your order date it was originally tracking to arrive around March 9. Unfortunately, due to a warehouse transfer happening at the time, it ended up being delayed and delivered on March 11 instead. We completely understand how frustrating that timing would’ve been, especially with a shoot booked, and apologise that a clearer delivery expectation couldn’t be provided upfront.

We appreciate your patience, and we’re glad we could at least refund the shipping for you.

Ingen grund for bekymring

Jeg læste reviews efter jeg havde bestilt 2 tasker og kamera rensnings kit. Indrømmer at jeg blev lidt nervøs. Men det var der ingen grund for. Taskerne er så flotte - præcis som jeg havde forestillet mig.

Dolomite Camera Sling (Lille) - super fin. Der er lige akurat plads til min Canon R10 + 18-150mm linse, linse adapter og oplader. Tasken ligner ikke en typisk kamerataske, og derfor kan jeg godt lide den.

Zeolite Tech Organiser - perfekt til DJI mobile gimbal, mikrofoner og nips. Den er “padded”, dvs. beskyttende. Mange opbevaringsmuligheder i selve tasken. Jeg er fan!

Lens Cleaning Kit - selve tasken er rigtig nice, og selve kittet er også minimalistisk og pænt!

Er nu fristet til at købe den store Dolomite taske :-)

Buyer beware. Website is not accurate

Made a ~$300 order and paid the $16 for priority shipping. I emailed 3 times to get an update because there was no progress after 3 days- all I got was AI generated responses.

Finally a human replied and told me the filters and camera bag I ordered were out of stock and they had no idea when they would be restocked. Seems like they’re taking peoples money when they know they have no stock.

Waiting on a refund now…

Wish I'd read the returns policy

Bought a bag but its not quite right so I want to return it. Urth is taking 5% admin fee and requires me to print out a document and pay for postage myself. Not worth the risk of online shopping with Urth and I won't be ordering again. Order No: 49724GB

We completely understand how frustrating it can feel when something doesn’t work out, especially when you then have to organise a return. Our 5% restocking fee helps cover non-recoverable transaction and handling costs, and as a small team, we’re not able to absorb return postage the way larger marketplaces sometimes can.

There’s also an environmental aspect we try to be mindful of. Returns create additional transport emissions, repackaging, and handling, all of which carry a footprint. While we absolutely want customers to feel confident shopping with us, we also aim to encourage thoughtful purchasing and reduce unnecessary back-and-forth shipping where possible.

That said, we know that doesn’t make it any less disappointing from your side. We’re always reviewing our policies to ensure they’re fair and transparent, and feedback like yours genuinely helps us do that.

I am contacting you again regarding my purchase of a bag and a lens cleaning kit.
The lens cleaning kit arrived already damaged and leaking, soaking all items in the package and making them unusable.
I have contacted you multiple times to request a refund or replacement. However, I have only received automated AI-generated responses and no reply from an actual representative. This is not an acceptable way to handle a product damage issue.
This is a clear case of damaged goods being sent, and I am requesting that a real customer service representative review this case and respond within 3 business days with a resolution (refund or replacement).
If I do not receive a direct human response within this timeframe, I will proceed with opening a formal dispute through the platform.
And if this problem solvers well I would erase this comments from every websites.

No ownership

I ordered $400 worth of filters for a trip and paid for priority shipping to make sure they arrived. Sure enough, 4 days in and there is zero movement, and their team is telling me that they can only get answers from their warehouse every 3-12 hours.

It’s clear that there is no ownership of anything beyond marketing materials and a website on Urth’s end, while everything else is carried out by delivery partners and warehouses that they can’t effectively manage. Buyer beware, don’t pay the extra for shipping and don’t depend on these guys. I would sincerely doubt their ability to service a warranty after this too, given the slow pace of support and lack of clarity around what is happening with my first order.

Hi Sep, we completely understand how frustrating this experience was, especially when you’d paid for priority shipping ahead of a time-sensitive trip. That’s not something we take lightly.

As we explained over email, there was a breakdown between the warehouse and the courier that caused delays and a lack of clear tracking updates. While the warehouse had confirmed the order was already dispatched, which meant we weren’t in a position to refund the full order, we did refund the expedited shipping cost, as the service didn’t meet expectations.

You’re right to expect clarity and ownership, and we’re actively working with our warehouse and courier partners to get to the bottom of what went wrong here. Unfortunately, your order wasn’t the only one affected, which is exactly why this has been escalated internally so it doesn’t happen again.

We genuinely appreciate you raising this and giving us the chance to address it, even though the situation was disappointing

FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD ... this is another Chinese imposter fronting as a legitimate business. I ordered filters and a bag and expedited shipping and then it never arrived. After a month I got a $15 refund for the shipping .. no products .. no shipping AND Shopify and the Shop app just palm you off .. DONT USE THESE SCAMMERS

its a legit company but they lost my…

its a legit company but they lost my order, then sent out the item again but put down the wrong address. each time i contacted it was many days to weeks before any response and felt like you were talking with an AI Bot. After 6 weeks i finally got a refund

Great Company!

Thank goodness I didn't look at the reviews before I ordered!! Amazing company; my lens arrived 3 days after ordering and my camera bag 2 days later. Both are great quality and I couldn't be happier. Will definitely be ordering from them again. Thank you!

Ordered a magnetic lens cap and ring

Ordered a magnetic lens cap and ring. They sent me the ring and later advised that the cap is out of stock. So I have a useless magnetic lens ring. Customer service is rubbish, chat gpt rubbish reponses via email.

Good product, long waiting time...

I have just gotten my product from Urth, their 5L sling bag, lovely quality, though a little fun design choice with the pockets, if you want the best experience from with the pockets, don't use the included walls, otherwise it fits everything I need. My Olympus XA ll, my Minolta XE-5 and 35mm 50mm and 70-200mm lens.

I really don't know why there's so many angry reviews here, saying it's a scam, it's NOT, though the delivery time is long, they should maybe update it. I ordered my bag on the 29 of May and got it today.... I know that they don't control, or know, who delivers the packet, so I'm not mad at that, but saying delivery is 2-5 days is clearly wrong in some instances. (Also I live in Denmark, so that may play a role as well)
Another reason why it's not a scam, their website was created way back in 2014, that means it's a 11 year old company, no scam is up for that long. You can also look at their instagram, no scammer would put so much work into it, unless they used AI, which Urth does not!
And to those who asks why people say "thanks (insert name here)" and don't understand it, maybe the person writing the review aren't photographers themselves aka they needed help, easy as that.
So if you're still reading this, thank you, and you can safely shop at Urth, it may take some time though.

Not Urth It

After about what looks like 17 emails back and forth and this review here Urth's Support Manager has emailed me:

"I’ve just come across your recent Trustpilot review update and wanted to follow up directly, as I’m a little confused"

While I wanted no more business with them he seemed earnest and wanting to set things straight so I promised to recheck my review and make sure it was factual. As it turns out I would actually like to update it:

I no longer think this is a scam.

Instead, I think that it's that they're simply so optimistic and naive about running a business that they may as well be running one - throw in equal parts youthful narcissism and brown-nosing AI* and the outcome for the customer the same.

(*they denied using it, then admitted to using it after the AI literally said it was an AI in an email)

It's bordering on the Fyre Festival of camera accessory brands.

"I’m a little confused" - ok 👍

NEVER AGAIN.
