They helped me get a 100% disability…
They helped me get a 100% disability rating and I’m grateful for that but customer service is terrible. I explained that I’m unable to make the monthly payment in the year time frame because given my current other financial obligations and I kindly asked for if there were a lower payment plan. Well then the customer service representative explained to me that I can make a higher payment and even additional payments if I’d like. I asked her if she could see how that was unreasonable and she got upset at me. She started saying how she wasn’t sure about what kind of day I was having thereby implying that it was my fault she’s being unreasonable. She eventually stated that she would review my account and get back to me. Had she said that in the beginning, it would’ve been productive but she offered me to make higher payments to pay it down quicker. My did coach did the same thing. When I explained that I could afford the monthly payment and needed a lower payment, he offered me to make more payments. Then he then felt the need to remind me of the importance of paying back my financial obligations implying that I wasn’t going to. I explained to him that I have every intention of paying off the debt I just need more time to do it.
I’m grateful for the help I received and I’m thrilled to pay what I owe but given these past 2 incidents, it seems to me that they’re more interested in getting their money and never really care about veterans.
There were other incidents as well like my original coach’s approach was on as if I were on a game show. He was super hype like he was trying to motivate me. I found it to be obnoxious. His secretary Julie set me up an appointment with him at 11:00pm. She said PM which indicates she knows that it’s at night. I was patient with her and I explained to her that most people are asleep at that time. So then she offers me an appointment at 3:00 am. She said AM which indicates she knows that it’s 3:00 in the morning. It’s just incompetence. Overall, there was more negative than positive. Will they get the job done? Yes. Would I recommend them. No. There’s probably company’s. I don’t do this lightly but given my last 2 experiences, I felt the need to be honest.

I appreciate the guidance and help that Henry Sosa, my coach, has given that has boosted my rating to 90%. My questions have been answered through the process. Professional, encouraging, & caring coaches!
I had 2 coaches in 3 years. Both were amazing, professional, and caring. They inspired me to not give up! They encouraged me to seek out ways to win my cases without outright giving me answers. It is not a free service but in my opinion, worth 10x what I paid to get 100% P&T! The coaches' wealth of knowledge and can-do attitude has giving me a new lease on life! I was first told about VACI by coworker
I was first told about VACI by a coworker of mine and I decided to call them and give them a try. I was already denied multiple times for several claims and was only rated at 10%. After speaking with a coach who was a very knowledgeable person and a good guide through the claims process I was able to apply and get rated at the rate I am at today. It was a long process and I at times felt discouraged though the claims process but the coaches were there for me to help me out. No body cares about your claim more than you but the coaches made me believe in myself. I look back and see where I started and where I am now and I am thankful for my coworker for telling me about VACI and thankful for the coaches that helped guide me through the process.

I went through three coaches
I went through three coaches. None of them could give me clear and concise answer to my question or what to do next. I had to reach out to coaches and pull information vice them pushing information to me. I had a much better experience with other companies. I wouldn’t recommend using them.

Definitely worth it
They give you the tools and the guidance you need to comfortably fight for what you deserve. I went from no rating to 70% and they're still helping me get to where I should be owed. You want somebody to do the fighting for you? Go with a VSO. You want a team on your side that assists you with the fighting and helps you navigate how the VA works then go with VA Claims Insider.

Do not hesitate to get VA Claims Insider involved.
I separated in 2018 and have been battling disappointment after disappointment with making any progress through the VA, and had little to no help with my local VSO. Michael Ashberry has been a blessing to help me get through this process, and since mid 2025 has turned everything around for me. He has gone above and beyond with my expectations, and delivered more than I could have asked more. He's been pleasant, supportive, persistent, and quick to return calls/emails without making me feel like a burden. My only complaint is I wish I hadn't reached out to Michael and VA Claims Insider sooner. I've even referred them to several of my Vet Coworkers, and watched them all succeed as well.
