Roadmap for getting funds way not as clear as it should be. Dashboard was a bit rigid; overall communication was substandard but expected as Valon seems like that kind of company. Overall not incredibly dissatisfied but not blown away by the experience either.

you were great helping me through the process. i o struggled with numbers and passwords.

So far so good customer service was very helpful.

Horrible service. Our loan was sold to them I called customer service and Matt* was rude and snippy and condescending. Yes I know how to check my email and mail! You haven't sent me anything. I found out you transferred my loan from Credit Karma by Accident!! I cannot wait to not use you!

Terrible! Worst customer service. The worst mortgage lender ever! I hate that my previous mortgage lender transferred over to them. They also take money out of my account without asking, they do not communicate. Please stay clear of them if you can.

How you don’t have a great app is beyond me in 2026

I've had mortgages with several servicers over the years and never experienced anything like this. I repeatedly received refinance marketing calls from Valon. I emailed requesting that the calls stop and later contacted customer service. I was told they could not even confirm that my request would prevent future calls. My experience with the servicing itself has been fine, but the persistent marketing and inability to honor a reasonable request to stop contacting me was very disappointing.

Our home owners insurance is escrowed in with the mortgage we received a letter that our monthly payment was going to be raised, ok that’s fine that is normal. Then 2 days later we received a letter in the mail from our insurance company that our homeowners insurance is being cancelled due to non payment. So I called and the only thing they can say is that it keeps rejecting payment. Never were we notified this was happening. I had to call my insurance company and make a payment to hold the account over until the mortgage company can resolve the matter. Mind you they claim to have made a payment in June but said it was rejected and here we are a month later and it is still not resolved. Thankful to my insurance company for getting us involved so that we can assure our house is covered. This is 100% unacceptable we should not have had to make a payment ourselves and at the very least they should have reached out to us to let us know of the issues ahead of time.

Valon mortgage provides excellent handling of both my mortgage payments and disbursements of escrow funds. When I decided to do a home equity loan, it was easy since they already handled my first mortgage

Valon took over our loan a couple months ago. Last month I received an email saying they didn't have our insurance information. I followed the link to upload it but it said my loan couldn't be found. It gave me an email to send it too. Myself and my agent have sent it in because they keep emailing me they haven't received it. After the 8th time of sending it I finally received a confirmation it was received.
This month comes and our insurance is due. They don't pay it. I contact them via chat and they say they haven't received our insurance. I sent it in the chat. They tell me it will be paid in 5-7 days.
Today I received notice from our insurance they were going to cancel for non payment. Absolutely insane.

Very helpful with every step of getting new mortgage
