Valon Mortgage Avis 

They bought my mortgage from Rocket. The first issue I noticed is that they don't have an android app for you to make payments through. It's 2026, a major company that doesn't have an app for multiple os at this point is beyond me.

My biggest issue is that I rent my main home because my husband and I moved for work. We rely on the rent to cover the mortgage payment. My payment is due the first of the month, but I don't get the rent payment until around the 12th. I asked Valon if they could change my payment date so I would never be late (in case of delays or holidays).

They told me no and to use the 16-day grace period to make my payments. Absolutely blows my mind. Yeah, it's not technically late, but always paying at the end of the grace period is not a precedent I want to set. Either that or I have to pull from savings every month and wait for the rent payment.

Valon has zero interest in helping out the homeowner. All they care about is getting their money. I really hope my mortgage is sold again. I'd rather deal with setting up a new app or account somewhere than be stuck with callous incompetence.

Was never able to reach a live representative. The AI responses were good with problem solving, however it was wrong given the intricacies of what I needed to do.
It told me to send the wrong paperwork and made wrong changes to the account. Now I have to guess about what I need to send in the future to correct it.

I had no problem with Valon, until my dad passed and we had to go through all the paperwork. I wasn’t impressed. They finally resolved the matter but in the most invasive way possible… Glad that’s over and I’m hoping not to have anymore issues.

I gave a 5 because everything worked out. I DO NOT LIKE AI!! I want to talk to a REAL person. Not a robot. No matter if it is correct !!!! Things go wrong with a robot no matter what!!!! But Valon has been great when I have talked to a REAL person !!

Awful company. Still trying to get money from them for the flood damage at my home. $25,000 for the demo work, 55k for the rebuild. Over the past couple of weeks, I have spoken to: Hector 3x, Israel, Anna, Monica, Fernando, and a couple of others. Have to start from square one each time. No one knows what's going on. They lie constantly. They promised to transfer money via ACH and did not. No explanation. They have not sent a dime. To be continued.

I have had to call several times to get a problem resolved and to this date it has not been resolved. I need a new analysis of my mortgage because I changed homeowners insurance back in June. They keep telling me they are working on it but it never happens. I wanted it done by 8/1 so I could make my mortgage payment with the adjusted amount. I’m not understanding since everything is computerized why it takes so long. It is very frustrating and very disrespectful to customers to have such poor customer service.

Completely misled and I’m very upset. Dana forgot about the transfer tax in Florida AND she under estimated my closing costs by HALF. I found this out after my credit was run taking that hit. I have asked for someone else to talk to but have not gotten a response.

I want to express my frustration regarding Dana Staples, the Valon Loan Officer. It's baffling how incompetent she is at her job. I've been trying to secure equity from my rental property for three months, only to discover today that my loan application is no longer active, and Dana never bothered to inform me. My experience with Valon Mortgage has been the worst I've ever encountered. To make matters worse, I can't even contact a manager because Valon's customer service doesn’t provide a number I can call. What a joke! At this point, Valon can take my equity application and shove it.

Valon Mortgage has had a $93,000 check sitting in escrow for almost a month. I’ve been trying to get my first draw for almost a month. They told me several times the check was mailed via USPS. It never came, they issued a stop payment and now I have to wait even longer to get an ACH. While this whole thing has been going on, lo and behold it was sent via FedEx and no one gave me tracking. I asked for a tracking number 3 times and “there isn’t one” MEANWHILE the check has been sitting at my vacant house because I wasn’t able to track it since I was told it was sent via MAIL. I’ve tried asking to speak to a manager twice and every time “call back request.” Having to wait for a manager to decide to call back on an already escalated issue is pure insanity and a HORRIBLE business practice. My insurance and contractor are breathing down my neck for this money to begin renovations and it’s been held up by Valon this entire time. Unacceptable.

Thank God my mortgage is getting transferred, I’m so over Valon.
