Vanity Studios Avis 

New to modelling and looking for a mature male model photoshoot for my portfolio. I booked a package on-line. The follow up was quick, professional and easy. After receiving excellent pre-session advice emails, I had the session today at the Vestry Street studio, which is easy to get to from Liverpool Street or Old Street stations. Meet and greet was super, straight into hair and make-up then downstairs to the studio with Bernardo, the professional photographer who was brilliant. I had taken several outfit options, including some mix-and-match, and he offered me great advice for each of the four outfits, plus the stock images required by agencies. The shoot took 2 hours. Bernardo guided me through the best poses for modelling pictures and patiently ensured that I followed his guidance. He showed me some of the pictures as we progressed. Once finished, I sat in the office and reviewed the 60+ images. I decided to upgrade my package to ensure that I had all of the best of the pictures as well as a portfolio book. No hard sell. The biggest challenge is the quality of the pictures and walking away from some of them! I also received a list of agencies, which makes finding them all much easier. It was made clear that Vanity Studios has no affiliation with them and that, as I expected, I would now approach them. Overall a great experience, amazing photo's and who knows, I might get lucky with an agency! Fingers crossed.

The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating. It was a wonderful and beautiful family experience that we truly enjoyed. We also learned so much about being creative and confident when posing in front of the camera. Highly recommended! 📸❤️

Very disappointing experience with Vanity Studios.

I purchased a £60 makeover and photoshoot voucher at their Canary Wharf promotion in June. I was then told I had only two months to BOOK the appointment, despite having a full year to actually attend. When I tried to arrange a weekend appointment, I was told availability had become extremely limited, with regular weekend appointments not available until late December. They confirmed that weekend dates in October had been available when I purchased the voucher but had since filled.

Despite this, I was repeatedly told I had until 3pm on the deadline day to book or my £60 voucher would be “discontinued”. The suggested solution was to book a date that didn’t suit me and keep rescheduling it.

There is also an additional £50 weekday deposit (£75 at weekends) to secure the appointment. While this is described as refundable, the combination of the upfront £60, the two-month booking deadline and limited availability makes the whole process feel designed to get customers committed before they have a realistic opportunity to use the service.

What I find particularly disappointing is that the promotion is heavily targeted at Canary Wharf, where there is a huge banking and corporate workforce. It gives the impression that they rely on people buying the heavily promoted voucher and then, if they can’t realistically find a suitable appointment within the booking window, simply writing off the £60 rather than pursuing the matter.

Customer service was also extremely dismissive. Despite an extensive email exchange, I was told they had “still haven’t managed to reach me successfully” and was repeatedly pressured to book before the deadline.

I would strongly recommend reading the terms very carefully and considering the availability before paying anything. My experience was far more complicated and restrictive than the promotional pitch suggested.

Myself, sister, mum and nan had a great experience at vanity studios. We were all well looked after and offered drinks and snacks throughout the day. Photographer was great and explained all poses well - I think his name was Dan. Took a while to do the hair and makeup but worth it in the end. Got some great photos

Had a really good experience. I went with my 12 year old daughter we had a great time, she wanted to come back again. The makeup artist was fantastic, beautiful makeover. Hair stylist and photographer were great. Photographer gave directions which was very helpful as we did not know the best poses. To be honest his directions were great and the photos were amazing.
The lady at the end who went through the photos with us was fantastic.
There were drinks and snacks offered throughout. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming.

I really appreciate of vanity studios doing makeup, nail, and hair styling, and doing plenty of photos also thank you Mateo for doing the photos and the rest of the employees doing their hard work and also and the staff being kind.

Buyer beware - this is a scam. They hook you with a promo then get you to put down a security deposit that gets ‘reverted’ back to you. They hammer you with calls. Avoid.

The whole experience was great. We were very well taken care of right from the start, with a bit of prep and especially the photo shoot itself. A bit of bubbly to chill too. The results were fantastic. Both my partner and I had a lovely day.

Great experience with Bernardo and Siobhan! Bernardo made us feel so welcomed! He helped us with the outfits and the accessories!

I bought a voucher (when we were at the Ideal Home exhibition) for a photo shoot with my daughter as a present for her 22nd Birthday. The salesman, Richard, was charming, and explained everything in detail. I paid for the voucher there and then, knowing that I had to pay a refundable deposit within two months to secure a date.

I arranged the shoot for the day before my daughters birthday. We arrived at the studio in good time and were immediately greeted by Chevaughn and offered something to drink. We had our hair done by Anna and our makeup by Alina. They both listened to what we wanted and we were very happy with our makeovers!
Our photographer, Erica was absolutely brilliant! She made the photoshoot so much fun and the results are excellent. We had to leave early because we were going out and so Chevaughn Bert kindly let us view the photos via Zoom a couple of days later. We have some beautiful mother/daughter photos which will take pride of place on our wall. There are also some amazing shots that my daughter will be able to use for her performance career. Thank you to everyone at Vanity for a memorable experience!

Me and my girls aged 8 and 11 had a fab day. We were pampered with hair, nails and make up (all for appropriate age) and we felt fabulous. The photo shoot was really fun and the staff were all great and super friendly and made us feel relaxed. Considering we were there for 4 hours my girls did not get bored. Thanks vanity

The make-up artist, hair stylist, photographer and the photographer who helps you to choose photographs were all very talented people. It was possible to achieve great results in a short amount of time. I would definitely recommend!

We (myself and my daughters) had a photoshoot here and the whole experience was fantastic. The makeup and hair made us all feel confident for our shoot.
The photographer was great giving direction to get the perfect pose. The pictures were amazing and the whole experience is one we will treasure always. Everyone who worked there was friendly welcoming and made us feel great about ourselves. Would highly recommend

Really lovely day in a professional photo studio. Friendly people and was made to feel special. Hair, makeup and nails all done. There was coffee, juice or even wine, Prosecco and beer if you fancied it.

I purchased a voucher because the promotional material clearly gave the impression that all costs were covered. However, after the treatment, I was unexpectedly asked to pay additional charges that were never made clear before I purchased the voucher. I felt completely misled.

The marketing creates expectations that do not match the reality of the service. In my opinion, the advertising is misleading and important information is not presented clearly enough for customers to make an informed decision.

What frustrated me the most was the communication. During my interactions, I was told things over the phone and in person that later changed. I found it very difficult to rely on the information I was given, and I left feeling that promises made before my appointment were not honoured.

The overall customer service was poor, and instead of resolving my concerns, I felt that my complaints were dismissed.

Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend Vanity Studio. I strongly encourage anyone considering purchasing one of their vouchers to read every term and condition carefully, ask for written confirmation of exactly what is included, and make sure there are no hidden or additional charges before committing.

Unfortunately, I will not be returning, nor would I recommend this business to friends or family.

Very friendly, very professional staff! My friend & I had loads of laughters throughout the photoshoot. Makeup artist Alina was superb! Mateo, our photographer was funny! He made us feel at ease throughout the photo shoot. Thanks very much Vanity studios!

Loved my experience at Vanity Studios,immediately made to feel relaxed and welcomed. Make-up made me feel amazing and set me up for great photos. Danny our photographer was amazing in getting the best out of us which came through the pictures, will definitely be back 👍🏾😊
