I found it was well worth paying for my vehicle check as it tells you everything about the vehicle that we should be aware of, it gives peace of mind knowing that everything is above board.
The online check is really quick, and the website runs smoothly without any lag. The report is also easy to download, which makes the whole process simple and convenient.
The website gives you the 3 options clearly and tells you exactly what you get. I bought the multi vehicle option as I like to know about a car before I even contact the seller. Great for buying from... Voir plus

Quick, Reassuring Check Before Buying
I used the RAC Vehicle History Check before purchasing a used car, and it gave me real peace of mind. The report was easy to access and clearly laid out, with important details about the vehicle’s history all in one place. It helped me feel more confident about my decision and highlighted things I wouldn’t have known otherwise. Overall, a straightforward and useful service that I’d recommend to anyone buying a used car.

Honestly the worst service you can get ! I booked a pre purchase inspection, they say they send reports within 24 hours. It s been over 96 hours and I still did not receive the report ! The car was sold because the seller couldn’t wait for this BS company. I called them and the guy who s supposed to help he said if I dont provide the booking number he cant help. They didnt even send an email with the booking number, they said it over the phone and Im supposed to learn it by heart for them ! Such an unprofessional company

Don’t hand over any money till checking
Agreed a price, left deposit, decided to do a quick check and found cat n. Seller denied knowledge but then relisted anfain without disclosing after he was told it was illegal. Dishonesty is rife in the world nowadays. I’ve never checked a car before so was a bit shocked to get result. Thank you RAC. Has made my membership so much more than just breakdown cover . :)

Fabulous service
Fabulous service. Only the RAC full check helped me avoid a great financial loss.
I advise everyone, just dont go for basic checks, go for full checks which is little above £ 14 but saves you great headaches
