Prices gone up 2 coffees £8.50 and not large cups can get the same for £5:80 in the same area. Place had hardly any people in it Saturday at 11:00am staff good

Came in for a Friday lunch today with our pooch x Alfie (our pooch) made very welcome with biscuits and water etc and Eilidh was a life saver donating her gel plasters to my husband who was breaking in a new pair of shoes haha x food was fantastic and customer care superb x thank you x

Staff were excellent, Katie and Carrie, may have incorrect spelling! were fantastic,very friendly and helpfull, food was excellent

Have been going to the swalllows best for a long time. Booked early evening table for 4 this evening. Our server was very polite as always. Bad point the food this evening as not up to their usual standard. Fish and chips usually the best tonight it reminded me of frozen oven cooked fish and chips. Mushy peas tepid. Pork was ok measley amount of mash veg and gravy Luke warm. Come on what’s happening changed your chef or food supplier? We probably won’t rush to go back I don’t mind paying more if the food is up to scratch

Steak not cooked to how we ordered it and very slow service when the pub was empty.

The Crown, Broxbourne, is a very pretty pub by the river with free parking, the friendliest staff (especially Kirsty T who is a true asset to the place - nothing is too much trouble) and large portions of delicious food. Despite a very packed dining room, all seven of my family (and dog) enjoyed a lovely leisurely Sunday afternoon meal together. Thank you.

The team at the Oystercatchers in Climping were very friendly and made us feel at home. The food was lovely, the pub was generally nice and clean and tidy. My wife and I enjoyed our anniversary meal, Meg and the team made it a memorable experience.

We called in the Fox & Roman for two late afternoon 2 course meals from the lunch menu. After we’d left I found we’d been charged for one 3 course meal + one main course which was more expensive. The Reward I had on the app for a free drink wouldn’t work. My wife’s starter was fine. When our previously frozen lasagnes arrived they hadn’t been heated thoroughly, although were tasty. Nobody checked if everything was alright. My wife got stomach pains soon after. Any chef should know the importance of reheating meat thoroughly and the ‘reason’ given (that there was only one person in the kitchen) is no reason at all why they couldn’t have been put in the microwave a minute (or whatever needed) longer. I had a long wait for my dessert which came after my coffee and only after I had asked the bar staff to chase it up in the kitchen. My dessert was fine too. The beer was very good. I felt sorry for staff as there clearly weren’t enough of them even though it wasn’t a busy time. They had to serve at the bar, take food out, clear tables, and try and explain why their app wasn’t not working properly. In the circumstances they were very pleasant and patient. Reducing staff to the minimum seems to be what everyone is doing nowadays but people won’t come if the quality and service deteriorates. On a separate matter I can’t understand why lasagne can be on the lunch menu so can be ordered until 5pm (& has an individual price which is not shown on the menu) but cannot be ordered 5 minutes later as it is not on the main all- day menu. I emailed Vintage Inns about that and received a not very helpful reply. Some issues for Vintage Inns to sort out.

We had Sunday lunch at the Curlew in Ferndown and it was superb. Excellent food and a delightful server, Emily, who could not have been more helpful.

I visited the otter at Kegworth with 11 friends for lunch.
We had pre-ordered the meals but it took an hour to arrive. (6 of them were salads).
The chicken and bacon on the salads were inedible. Not even a steak knife would have cut through them. No dressing was offered so we had to do with the dregs of mayo bottles. Near the end of our meal the dressing appeared.
One of the ladies ordered pizza but it was burnt and uncut so she struggled to eat it.
Some had dessert and it was deducted from their bill. The rest of us paid full (high) price.
Our group goes regularly for lunches but we have now removed The Otter as a possible venue.

For the past 2 week ends we decided to try Sunday lunch at the Crown Bramscore , we decided to choose the trio of roasts as we had been given a voucher as a present. To say we were disappointed. The belly pork was very dry and the slice of beef was so tough we couldn't even cut it with steak knives. We won't be going back a 3rd time.

Treating a good friend to dinner for her birthday.
Restaurant was very quiet with only 2 tables occupied. Two larger tables set for bigger parties. We were informed they would need our table at 6.45, and this was 5.15. Not a problem except we waited 10 minutes for a drink after ordering that and our food and waited at least 25 minutes for our main course to arrive , which was excellent . It is now 6.20, the 2 large tables sitting down ordering and we were totally ignored although they gave us the dessert menu. We gave up at 6.40 and got up to pay . Not the fault of the 2 waitresses only serving they were delightful, but no sign of the manager who could have helped. Very disappointing and will not go back while they have so few staff serving. Shame as my friend did not get her tiramisu!

Captains Wife Sully. Overrated and overpriced! My husband's avacado salad consisted of mainly iceburg lettuce,and 3 pieces of meat.
The food was cold, service was slow, tea and coffee luke warm. Above average prices, very disappointed!

Booked a table and signed up for the welcome offer. Only to be told when paying that it takes 6 hours for the offer to go live. We had 54 minutes to go until our 6 hours were up. Absolutely ridiculous - won’t be returning.

Hi everyone, called in to the Vintage to get something to eat and a drink as I have done on a few occasions, ordered my food and a pint and when the lady took me my pint she asked to be paid for everything, that’s ok if that’s there policy but I never had to pay upfront before in this bar. As I was eating my food a lady and a child came in and ordered food and drinks but they weren’t asked for payment. If the tap was open I would have taken another drink but to be honest il never be back

We booked a table here for Sunday Lunch as it was our anniversary and we had been to this pub before a few times . I can only say if I could give no stars I would . We both ordered the Beef Sunday Lunch and both asked that the beef is well done. It came very quickly but straight away we could see the beef was very pink we told the server this straight away . When he came back with our meal and we started eating it both meals were terrible all vegetables were tepid to cold the meat looked okay but tasted odd and was tough a terrible meal to expect anyone to pay for and extra disappointing as we had been here before over a year ago and the food was great also it was a special day for us and I had checked out recent reviews which said the food was good. All I can say that if those reviews are genuine it must have been a different chef and better quality food being served . I would not call £21.50 each per meal cheap . We decided not to order anything else paid for our drinks and left . If you love cold bad food go here if not go elsewhere .The Beach Pub in Exmouth is brilliant. The restaurant and bar staff were very good , offered us free drinks but as my husband was driving we could not accept .

The Glover Arms, Crieff Road, Perth, adjacent to the A9 Perth Travelodge.

Following a long drive, we decided to go to the Glover Arms for a meal. We were greeted ok, and the host explained there was a 15 minute wait, in order to allow the chef to 'catch up'; My wife and I both said it was no problem, were shown to our table and we ordered drinks.
Things from this point on, went downhill very rapidly, the 15 minute wait became 50 minutes, with no updates from any member of staff as to how much longer we would have to wait; before the meal we'd ordered was finally delivered to the table.
I do find it difficult to understand the lengthy delay, as the restaurant was nowhere near full capacity.

We'd both ordered Sea Bass, which appeared to look quite presentable, until we attempted to eat the accompanying potatoes, which were virtually raw, I approached the server to explain, she watched my wife attempt to cut a potato, and agreed they were inedible, and took both meals back.

We were asked if we would like to wait for the potatoes to be properly cooked, or choose another meal; as by now an hour had passed, we declined another meal, as we'd waited far too long already, and I said we would just pay for the drinks and leave.

At the bar the hostess I spoke to was completely indifferent and offhand about what had happened, and said "you were told there would be a wait and you were offered a change of meal which you refused" ! My response was to remind her that we were told the wait would be 15 minutes not 50, and we were not prepared to wait any longer.

This woman clearly needs further customer service training, and I would urge Vintage Inns to contact her urgently to arrange this.

We are shareholders in Mitchells & Butlers and this woman is a disgrace to the group, and the only time we've had any issue whatsoever, in any of our group of pubs and restaurants, was in the Glover Arms, Perth.

Walk-inn at St George & Dragon, Clyst St George. Greeted by the lovely Olly, a jovial, friendly assistant who kept us entertained throughout our visit. Food fresh and delicious. Easy and plentiful parking.

The Cuckmere, near Seaford, lovely outside seating area. Fairly varied menu, busy but quite quick service. Good experience all in all!

We visited the Stretton fox pub today in Stretton with our two children. After finishing our meal, we chose to sit at a nearby table—just a few steps away—to have a short, 10-minute private conversation about a sensitive family matter. Our children were within sight, quietly playing on their phones and not disturbing anyone.

To our shock, Assistant Manager Christopher approached us in an extremely rude and aggressive manner, accusing us of leaving our children unsupervised. He told us we either had to return to the original table or leave the premises entirely. Despite our children being calm and clearly visible, we were kicked out of the pub over this.

We were stunned. I've never experienced anything like it. We waited to speak with the manager, who was apologetic, but unfortunately offered no meaningful resolution.

It's important to say that the rest of the staff were lovely—kind and professional. The problem lies solely with the assistant manager, whose behavior was completely unacceptable. Management should seriously reconsider who they place in leadership roles, as this experience has left a bitter taste and we won’t be returning.

I cannot recommend this pub based on our treatment today.
