Vintage Inns pubs Avis 

Went for a meal at the Anchor Inn, Coven nr Wolverhampton. Party of 4. On ordering, we were told that the gammon and chicken curry were not available. WHY for gods sake. Very poor that this restaurant can't get it's ordering up to scratch. Gammon and chicken aren't seasonal foods so why are they off the menu.
We ordered our meals. Starters were fine. When mains came, they only brought 3. They had forgotten to order my wife's meal. When we pointed this out we were given an apology and told it would take 5 minutes for her meal.
She had ordered lasagne with salad and when it eventually arrived it came with chips and not salad. When this was pointed out it was again taken away and 5 minutes later returned with chips and salad. Not a fresh lasagne, but obviously the same one reheated till it was burnt round the edges and all the sauce had dried up.
My wife couldn't order an alternative meal as the only other thing the would order off the menu was the gammon, which was missing in action.
This is the third time we have received poor service at this restaurant and each time have given them the benefit of the doubt to rectify matters and returned a few months later.

However, it appears that this restaurant is a constant disaster area to avoid at all costs if you want to have an enjoyable experience

Sorry to say that our visit to the Marsh Harrier in Norwich this Tuesday was a disappointment. I booked a table for 6 to celebrate my daughter's graduation. Unfortunately, there was a significant number of meals NOT available. In fact, every one of our party had to make changes. The waitress seemed disinterested and called someone who was supposed to represent management but appeared to not only be about the same age as the young waitress but obviously had little or no management experience. There was no apology nor attempt to right things or pacify us. Just a shrug of the shoulders. My wife chose a pie and was told "that's the last one" so she took it but as we all needed to amend our first choices the waitress gave us a few minutes. However, a different waitress returned and we were told that the pie was no longer available! So, not to further upset my daughter and sour the evening any more than it was, we made do and finished up as soon as we could. Needless to say, we won't be able to recommend your establishment and won't be going back.

Had the Hunters chicken for 3 one gluten free it was very good. Megan who showed us to our table was very helpful and polite we will go again

They were quite busy with lunchtime orders for a number of pre booked guests when we walked in at lunchtime. We were warmly welcomed and given a lovely table for our party of 5 adults and one baby. We were told that large a party had just arrived and that the food service might be a little delayed, but we were very happy to wait in the relaxed ambiance of this delightful building. When our food arrived it was delightful and my Weiner schnitzel Hunters chicken could only be described as "wow!" Such a wonderful taste and presentation experience. The rest of our family party were highly delighted too! Thank you for a lovely meal, great service and fair price!

Restaurant dirty sticky tables, food on the floor. Toilet absolutely disgusting, toilet paper on the floor, toilet seats missing in the ladies, holes in the wall in the men’s and smelt awful. Waitress miserable no smiles or interaction. Had to ask for drinks and food that was ordered, two desserts arrived after the other 8 people had eaten. Food was ok, very expensive for what we got and the cleanliness of the place. I have complained and was told they are having a refurb end of the month.

Hanging Gate Shottle, Derbyshire. Two very attentive members of staff, very friendly and helpful. Listened carefully to ensure my daughter ,who is a little less adventurous with food, order was all completely separated so she could enjoy her meal. Our food tasty, and good service. I would have given 5 but did feel prices had gone up! That might be my Derbyshire frugalness trait I’m afraid!

Visiting Plymouth for the weekend, my husband and I ate at the Jack Rabbit, Vintage Inns there. The food was great and the service was exceptional. We visited both evenings while we were in Plymouth and both visits were a delight. On our first visit Terri was our server, such a friendly and warm welcome, attentive to our needs and a joy to chat to. On our second visit Glenn, the manager, was our server, he actually remembered us from the previous night, which was lovely, considering that had been our only visit and that he hadn’t been our server. Glenn was so friendly, warm and welcoming, again very attentive and the service was wonderful. All the staff we encountered were lovely but Terri and Glenn excelled themselves and made our visits memorable for all the right reasons. If we are ever down this way again, we’ll be sure to call in.

I booked my sons 18th party there, we had a great time nice food and lovely service. the room at the back as great for the occasion, and I would recommended anyone needing a large party to use this facility.

Food great, service in general very good, but one staff staff member a cheeky so and so, we are in all the time with or without vouchers and he pipes up see you next time when you have a voucher, and his attitude stinks.

We had dinner for 3 at The Beagle in Sproughton Suffolk we were served by Kirsty, who despite covering quite few tables, was wonderful. We were never kept waiting for service and any drinks orders came in good time. Very friendly and welcoming. The venue was lovely, with nice fairy light ceiling which made us feel cosy, our seats were a little slippy, but comfortable and very clean. Food was very nice and good value, portions were plentiful. One guest on our table had food allergies and it seemed no problem at all for Kirsty to double check everything was OK, and safe, some restaurants can make you feel like a pain, we did not experience this at all here, in fact the very opposite it was no problem for our waitress. Will definitely pop in again. Recommend the fish and chips.

Fox inn coulsdon common, Bema our waitress was great!

Can't order food at the bar, have to wait for a pompous woman to walk passed you 5 times before you can get her attention to place an order. 45 minutes of waiting we gave up.

A glass of wine (Sauvignon blanc) in the Aperfield Arms, Biggin Hill (a Vintage Inns pub) is £10.30. We are not strangers to this pub but will be very much more from now on as this is no more than rip off and a 'they'll pay it as most will' attitude

Tab at The Beagle Ipswich provides fantastic service. Nothing is too much trouble.

My husband & myself booked/visited The Angel @ Chelmsford on Friday 19th April early evening.
Very impressed, table was ready. The staff were very attentive, friendly & helpful.
The food was delicious. Well presented, hot & very good value.
If we are back in the Chelmsford area, we will definitely be going back.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We all had sea bass the chefs Danny and Andrew cooked it to perfection and the presentation was great they did a really good job. We were served by Jacob and Sophie today and they couldn’t do enough for us. We had a most enjoyable lunch and had a really lovely time. Thank you to all at the Hare and Hounds. 🙂🙂

Was always a great pub, haven't been for 10 years or so but wow amazing how it can be so bad.
Makes the local Toby Carvery look good!
Booked a table for a Sunday hoping for a roast.
I had the trio meat roast and my wife had beef roast and we had one drink each which cost £42
Roast potatoes were soft with no crunch or flavour
Veg all tasted the same
Meat had absolutely no flavour apart from the small bit of pork that was ok.
Beef was bloody! They never asked how we wanted it.
It's how I imagine food in a poor care home! Soft bland and not leaving you wanting anything else other then get it paid for and leave.
Staff asked how the food was and my wife started to say and the waitress just shrugged her shoulders and walked away like she's heard this so many times before.
Ate about a quarter of the food left the rest, McDonald's has more flavour and better quality.
Never again will we visit The Robin Hood of Clacton.
And since finding out Vintage inns own them I will be avoiding them at all costs.

STRETTON Fox refused our £20 off voucher - excuse - said it less than 24 hours old?? However, online it says it in appears in the app after 24 hours so it doesn’t make any sense.
Food and company was good but felt a bit cheated.

After a stressful day- we called in to The Smugglers Rest at Peacehaven. All the staff were very friendly and attentive- especially Rich who looked after us. The meal was very good & the restaurant was warm & welcoming. We'll be coming back soon. Thanks to all.

Terrible, just go somewhere else! Went with a friend to Fish & Eels, Hoddesdon. Food portions were extremely tiny and well overpriced. Over £11 for a starter which I ordered with a side dish for a main meal as the waitress said it was large enough! Still I had downloaded a £20 off £40 spend, so we went ahead and ordered a dessert. Again disappointed, even the ice cream was only half a scoop. To cap it all, they refused to accept my voucher as they stated it couldn't be used until 24-48 hours after it was sent to me. They continued to argue that it was in Terms & Conditions. (However these were not prominent as specified in consumer law). So, we were bullied into paying up as voices were becoming raised. No joy when I later complained via email to Customer Service at Vintage Inns. Appalling and to be avoided !!
