I just love getting my drams in the…
I just love getting my drams in the post, it’s such a brilliant way to try new whiskys without the expense and gamble of blindly buying a whole bottle. I love how all the communication is really relaxed and feels like you are chatting with a mate about a new discovery on your whisky journey rather than being stuffy and pretentious about it. Unfortunately I haven’t had chance to join one of the live tastings yet as I have a standing commitment on Thursday evenings but I might just have to skip that to dip in to the next one. I like that when you sign up you can choose which pathway you want to suit your taste and I think it’s really good value for money. If you enjoy chatting about new whisky and get excited to try new ones this is defiantly for you!

Can't unsubscribe
Whisky was fine, until one month the "exciting discovery" was Highland Park 12.
There is no way to cancel. The "manage subscription" option on the website is a fake link that does not give any options for managing your subscription. They don't reply if you email asking to unsubscribe.
EDIT: What I meant was the 'cancel subscription' button does not let you cancel. It merely brings up a window saying you need to email to cancel. My email to cancel still hasn't been answered and my request still hasn't been actioned.

I suppose it was inevitable
I suppose it was inevitable. After 30+ successful deliveries my latest was worryingly flat meaning that the pouch was empty though still sealed. We’ll never know who in Royal Mail had dropped what heavy object on it but its liquid contents had disappeared, sadly not down my throat!
A quick email from me brought a virtually by-return reply from the friendly Cait. Profuse apologies - even though it wasn’t Whisky Me’s fault - and a promise of a speedy replacement. No fuss, no forms.
But the the proof is in the pudding or, in this case, pouch. Only four days later its replacement was lying safely (and full) on my mat even though a weekend had intervened. Now you can’t ask for better service than that.
Thank you Whisky Me. A monthly opportunity to experience double shots of (mainly) unknown whiskies without having to commit to a full bottle. Slainte!

Highly recommended from 2yr+ subscriber
I bought single malt and worldwide subscriptions, intending just to do a year, but the quality and range of the whiskies WhiskyMe send out are wonderful; ended up keeping the subscription going on 2+ years now! The info cards with each whisky are a great collectable (but difficult to find a cool storage solution for - a bespoke accessory opportunity?) and the pouches are a really efficient way to send out the samples. Would highly recommend giving WhiskyMe a go if you're looking to expand your world whisky experience a bit, try some lesser known distilleries, and have a tasty monthly pick me up.

Trust Pilot Problem
Trust Pilot Problem? I have recevied a reply from Whisky-Me asking via Trust Pilot for information. However for some reason Trust Pilot will not let me respond even though the company has asked for a response!! Still waiting for promised refund-at least they seem to have hired somoene to deal with awful communication

Their admin is awful. If anything goes wrong it takes ages to get a response if any. I was double charged in November still awaiting reply. In one communication they sent me information about a whats seems to be a third party

Not the company it was!
Having been a ‘Whisky-Me’ member for 5 years, I have always been very happy with the company. Not anymore. Having suffered the same dispatch issues as many others during December and January, I was quite prepared to accept that things can go wrong, and circumstances can be challenging. Most recently, however, my attempt to renew my 12-month subscription code resulted in the code being rejected and £96 being taken from my bank account. A glitch? A technical error? Again, because of previous good service, I was confident that the company would come good, respond to my email and sort the matter out, but despite repeated enquiries there has been no response. Almost a fortnight later they still have my money (along with the 12 month subscription gift that was purchased for me) and no one has replied. As someone who has previously endorsed this product to others, if you’re interested in a whisky subscription – look elsewhere!!
5th March -Updating this review in the interests of fairness: Whisky-Me have now responded to my queries and have both refunded the money taken in error and re-established my subscription account. They acknowledged the unacceptable nature of the extended delay, how this had been transacted and apologised. Fair play to them.

Failed to deliver October subscription.
Blamed a supplier but now not answering emails and phones.
Change of shareholders at Companies House.
Frustrating too because the cost falls outside the s75 Consumer Credit Act funder protection
EDIT problem October 2024-February 2025. When this was posted there had been no response to me or the third party I purchased it through despite several requests.
Some weeks after this was posted we received contact and delivery has restarted. No satisfactory explanation for the inordinate delays.

Ordered a 12 month gift subscription
Ordered a 12 month gift subscription, received a 6 month subscription!!! Emailed only response is automatic response saying will respond next working day. Still waiting, tried to telephone the number on the website which just cuts off. Would advise to avoid this company

I bought a 12 month subscription for a Christmas gift. They have sent a 6 month code and will not reply to my emails to fix the issue.

There’s been 0 communication on when the first delivery will come, even though it’s now the 16th and the website says they ship on the 8th every month.
I’d understand if I’d missed this months cut off but my friend has had absolutely no update since activating the subscription at all even to say when one will be shipped.
They say they aim to respond to everything on their socials in 48 hours, have had no response since contacting them on Sunday through both socials and email. The phone number also doesn’t connect.
