Following on from some of the responses below the service of this company is diabolical to say the least. They produce pictures for auction that clearly show no damage to items until you pay and receive them which is a breach of the trades description act. I received an item that was clearly badly damaged and did not appear on the photoshopped auction picture. Buyers especially of furniture items beware this company cannot be trusted based on the above. Also their recommended delivery service advised me they wouldn’t accept the products that were thrown onto a pallet

Today they had an a auction of Ratten Furniture. The style & seize of the Ratten Furniture I wanted they had from memory 10 lots. They did have four different styles of furniture. The opening bid had to be £400. So I bid £475 although the other 9 lots where still £400 I was outbid (£500). So I bid on another lot £450 and although the other 8 lots where still £400 my bid on lot 8 was outbid. Although I bid again on another lot £450 I was again outbid yet there were still lots of the same Ratten Furniture at £400. The reserve on each of my bids had not been reached. Suspicious - yes obviously something going on. To me it makes sense to bid on the lot which currently has the lowest price not on the lot that already has a bid on it. Odd to say the least.

Bidding was easy, payment too.

Purchased a watch as a gift via a recent specialist auction at William George. Registration and payment were really simple. Contact with the seller was excellent. All in all, a very easy and enjoyable experience.

I would again like to thank Sarah for sorting out my complaint. I have not received the toilet but I have now had the money back in full. This has not been a good experience for my first time buying from an auction site. Hopefully if I do buy again it will be an easier process. My pallet was received with missing items but Ellie quickly responded to my query and offered some money back as compensation.

I've had a couple of interactions with Sarah who has been very responsive. You hope that things go smoothly but inevitably sometime things go wrong and it is good to know that WG take customer service so seriously. Both queries were dealt quickly and efficiently and to my satisfaction.

Used to ebay but this is much more fun!! William George auctions (online) is great to use and there are some excellent bargains to be had. Just a word of warning, the added buyers premium, VAT etc and potentially delivery cost will in most cases cost more than the lot itself. make sure you include that into your calculations.
